    There has been trackpad rattling issue on T14 gen 3. I ordered one couple of month ago and had this issue--therefore ended up returning it. There are lots of reports on this issue across youtube and different forums. Not sure Lenovo really fixed it.

    • @kimarildtandberg2856
      @kimarildtandberg2856 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The plastic trackpad on T14s is crap. I had it replaced by Lenovo on mine (Gen 3) 3 times, but still the same issue. The second replacement I got was better, but had an issue where it was flexing way too much. I ended up replacing it with an X1 Carbon, which has a glass trackpad that is on a different level. Still far a way from Apple's trackpads, but it doesn't bother me anymore...

      That true, mine has this issue as well

    I'm sorry, but I wanted to vomit after that first sentence... It's just a laptop not a diamond watch, it's purpose shouldn't be to impress someone and if that is the main reason why someone would buy it, they should re-think their values.

      Sorry to hear you did not like the review. The context was not in superfical sense but rather that a work laptop speaks about the integrity of a business as they come loaded with a number a enterprise level security features. I would feel a lot better working on a work laptop as opposed to a fancy gaming machine while at work.

    Also easily replaceable keyboard in them unlike most other laptops. Just 2 screws and 2 ribbon cables. Literally a 2min job! That plus upgradable ram and ssd makes this a great choice if you want your machine future proof.

    In all fairness I think Lenovo does not get enough credit for the big jump in display quality since the first gen t14 was first introduced... gone are the old days of dim, low color accuracy displays, can now work on excell, vscode and enjoy netflix on it... all t14 from gen 1 have a beautiful 500 nits 4k display option which is worth every dime imo, rivals a Mac screen but with a massive boost on built quality and ports!

    Hello - great review !
    Few questions (would be grateful if you could make some time to answer): 1) Would this be good for programming (Python etc.), 2) Could it do video editing on Camtasia (need to edit some lectures in 1080p, none of that 2K or 4K stuff and 3) Would it run dota2 ?
    All my questions pertain to the Intel build rather than the AMD one. So please respond accordingly if you can.
    Thank you in advance.

      I've got the same t14 g3 with i5 1235u
      1) yes, impressive single core performance makes this t14 a great device for programming, I am a cs student.
      2) yes it will easily cope with 1080p rendering and editing, igpu is better in t14 g3 amd, but for 1080p this intel version is enough
      3) yes, it will easily run dota 2 at medium settings with about 90-100fps
      I would really recommend you this laptop, especially with a low power 400 nits display and 52Wh battery

    The battery is not watt per hour. Its watthour. Wh. 39Wh battery means it can deliver 39W power for 1 hour. This is the standard unit for capacity. Watthour.

    • @SoulOfTech
      @SoulOfTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right you are. My pronunciation of the term was in fact wrong. While I am aware of the technicality of the capacity I did not due my diligence in ensuring I use the term in its correct form. You will be happy to know most of my more recent videos do in fact have the pronunciation as "Watthour". Have a great day and thank you for your viewership!

    Hey mate, nice review. I’m actually looking at the P14s gen 3 at the moment to use for my landscape architecture course (to use with CAD programs and some 3D rendering). I heard it’s very much like the t14 but with a discrete graphics card. The only issue I heard that is holding me back, was that the battery life is not so great. Did u experience any similar issues and would you recommend that laptop for my purposes? Thanks
