+PinoyShuffle 1990 Ford Ranger Lariat right here. 25 years and im 24 years old. What an AMAZING TRUCK! Just recently its FINALLY giving me problems. This is INCREDABLE. 25 fucking years and only now its giving me problems. Oh man what an amazing hand me down truck. Amazing truck. Im not giving up on her and it will be a pass me down for my future children,
shossain50 I'll admit as a Ford guy, GM has made some damn good trucks and SUV's the past decade or so, but I am curious about how they compare with Ford now, looks like a tough pick!
Kyle, I've been watching you literally since the beginning of time with your videos. I'm not usually the one to comment on a video, but I felt I needed to take the time to share this, even though you may not read it. Watching you now as compared to where you came from is incredible. Not to say that your older videos were in any way lacking, but your current videos are just that exceptional. You've created a style that cannot be touched. Being a fellow car guy, I can appreciate the pride you take in your videos as well as the enjoyment you get out of making new ones. The amount of detail and intent that goes into your videos is not only unparalleled on TH-cam, but unmatched in any other source of automotive reviews (Your channel is bookmarked on my browser). I get excited every time I see you post a new video. Regardless of what the car may be, I watch it because I have the opportunity to learn from the best. You just do it right. This video just solidified my opinion. I don't really care for pickup trucks, but figured I'd watch it given the new technology debuting with this model. Within two minutes of watching, I was taken back with the amount of detail you have and will provide. Every fact, number, statistic, and specification was provided and covered in a manner that makes the viewer want to continue watching. You're not just some drone spitting facts out at a camera. You make every half hour an enjoyable experience. Please don't ever stop making videos, or better, enjoying the automotive world the way you do. You have a talent and passion that deserves to be shared with the world. I've watched every single one of your videos, and don't plan on stopping. I have the utmost respect for you, and wish you all the best.
The only thing that I wish SHOULD BE STANDARD here on the Platinum - as well as on the King Ranch (the two highest trim) - trim is the bedliner - drop-in or spray-on.
I personally have been in this exact truck, minus the Platinum trim level. IT HAS AMAZING TORQUE, no matter what speed you are going and ANYWHERE across the RPM range. With a lead footed person driving, we were able to do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, and 0-90 in 8.2 seconds. Its has an amazing driving feel, and addresses all of the issues of the previous model design.
I like the solid thud when closing the doors. That is a Damn Nice F150. Ford has really gotten with the times lately. The new ford door chime is really cool too.
I already wanted the new F-150, but watching this review had me bouncing in my computer seat over the awesomeness of this review and this truck. Really well done.
Kyle I love your reviews, but I don't always have the time to watch them all the way. What if you made a series of quick reviews along with your in depth reviews?
What an astonishingly magnificent truck! I've always liked F-150's but this one really takes the cake! I've driven almost all the previous models and this one looks phenomenal, makes me want one now! Only thing I could do without is the engine sound coming through the speakers, as a car guy, it feels like this is supposed to be for the car guy but also trying to fool the car guy which only pisses the car guy off. I actually would rather hear the deadening silence until I open the window than listen to a recording of the engine inside... sometimes that's the point of closing the windows... for silence! So no thanks on the engine speakers, otherwise this truck is perfection!
I'm 33yoa. Never had a truck before. I told myself that I would never buy a truck or suv. This F150 has changed my mind!!! I will get one very soon! You can do so many things with this truck! hehehhehe.
Excellent job as always, and thank you so much for finally reviewing the new f150. Never a disappointment when Kyle is reviewing any type of car. Bang up job Kyle! 👍
This is the most appealing truck on the market right now, in my opinion! When it comes to trucks, Ford has always been the leader in sales for a reason: they innovate! Thanks for the in-depth review, Mr. Kyle!
Excellent review, Ford's 4x4 independent front suspension is probably the beefiest of American 1/2 ton trucks, especially when compared to Rams smallish aluminum lower control arms. GM trucks have both aluminum and cast iron control arms, depending on the model, but are larger than the Rams. Ford has a suspension durability test on youtube, the other trucks need to do the same. It's to bad Ford is pushing it's buyers to Turbo engines, they tend to have decreased longevity, and increased maintenance overall.
+Eric Powers The 5.0L V8 seems to be a good engine, they should have kept the 6.2L V8 and offered a Turbo V6 as an option. Ford should also ditch the clam shell doors on the extended cab, for the small front hinge doors like the GM's and Ram's.
I used to be anti V6 in a full size vehicle. However seeing it in that beautiful F150, makes it acceptable. I really want one. The door chime is awesome too.
A tremendous truck! great review Kyle! I have bought two cars already, but always watch your review first to see what I am getting into. its been a great help!
Does SaabKyle no longer say "shall we?" after he closes the door? 4:26 It may sound cheesy, but I always felt SaabKyle was personally inviting us along the tour with him (even though he does that already during the key segment). I suppose I just miss/like it.
Nice review of an awesome truck. I'm the exact type of consumer Ford is looking to entice with its premium pickup truck offerings (it's working). The F150 platinum as great a vehicle that it is, will not be my next vehicle of choice, to purchase. Thanks to Ford announcing the F150 LIMITED for 2016 with a winter release, that just completely did it for me. I'll be going LIMITED all the way. I have to say Ford has a pretty extensive lineup of great F150 packages at all price points.
Glad you finally got around to the 2015 F 150. The Platinum will not be the top of the line much longer. Ford announced the 2016 Ford F 150 Limited for release later this year. I'm sure you knew that already. As always I enjoy how complete your reviews are, and how much information you provide. Keep up the good work!
I've driven all models of this generation of F150 and all models of the previous generation Sierra 1500 (I used to work at a dealership that sold these trucks) and I think the best truck between the two is the Ford
I am a huge fan of your videos! Not one vehicle detail left out! I've watched 49 of your videos! They are AWESOME! Hey, can you do a review on a ford freestar? That's the type of minivan my family has. I am 10 years old to. A 10 year old liking all your videos! Cool right?
Having owned a 93 Silverado a number of years ago it's amazing how refined and luxurious pickups have become. I mean they do have the workhorse models available but the fact you can get the utility of a truck but the comfort of a sedan is great. I think for this truck I'd spring for the V8 because the EcoBoost motors have proven to be a bit troublesome which kind of defeats the purpose of the efficiency since you have to shell out more money to fix the problems versus the amount of fuel saved.
I used to hate your super long vids kyle but now I love them! Also the only people who should be getting trucks are farmers, people who actually haul stuff, construction and/or actually use a truck as intended, not just fucking lift it and brag about your v8
Today I test drove a 2015 Platinum and I gunned the accelerator pedal, a minute later the truck didn't want to accelerate in the highway 20MPH had to go on the breakdown Lane with the gas pedal all the way to the floor. After 4 minutes of driving the truck resumed it's speed. Is this normal is it something I should worry about before buying the truck?
Ive had a 2010 f150 and a 2014 Texas edition and really enjoyed how ford made each trim level unique to it's own for the most part. I just feel like ford focused so much on other parts of the trucks they completely just ignored making the gauges anything special. I know the gauges aren't necessarily why someones buying a vehicle or not everyone at least but it's still a part of it and they just look very very cheap. At least the previous models were varied by trim level.
Just a thought Kyle, maybe its time to upgrade to a wireless lav mic for audio done along with the filming. Then maybe there would be less editing work becasue you wouldnt have to do so many voice overs
Our family owned a '13 3.5 EB, and now a 2.7 '15 EB. I can't stand the way the 2.7 sounds. It sounds so cheap, tacky and improper for the size of vehicle it's in. In the old 3.5, you could hear the turbos under acceleration, it was such a nice cruiser. The seats were more comfortable. This 2.7, it seems like it's definitely working more, you can never hear the Turbo's no matter what. Gas mileage is okay (21-22) mixed driving. It's an XLT, with the 20" Pvd wheels super crew 5.5ft box. $46,000 and still turn key, cloth seats, and it has a rattle in the dash at 1,200 miles. Definitely miss our '13.
Great Review ! I thought the Ram Limited had a nice interior & features BUT Ford has the competition beat, hands down the nicest 1/2 Ton on the Road!! Keep up the great work Ford !! Absolutely Stunning Truck !!
Fantastic! I prefer the F150 to Silverado. In my opinion the Silverado's cockpit is too modern and simply for a truck design in general. With this F150, Ford has build a very beautiful and functional truck, with a lot of interior and exterior comforts like: the dashboard and his infotainment system, the seats and the open roof. All with a good V6, and a wonderful exhaust sound. And to improve the Ford's work there is your review, interesting and complete as always. Very good job again.
I just got the 2014 XLT last year but this review makes me wanna upgrade even though the exterior is not really that different with the exception of the front and back bumper. I need to stop watching car reviews.😭
I didn't like how the music was, I've always loved the just random music that came on when you'd show the stereo off, like the 2012 Sorento and the C5 Corvette
+roloxrox123 They make the G-wagon, which could easily be a truck if they extended the frame and added a bed. Check out the G-wagon 6x6, that thing would eat any full size pickup for breakfast.
great job! your reviews are perfect and show exactly what I want to see. dealerships should suggest there sales force watch these! I think I'm more informed than the dealer when I shop with these Vida
Eco crap? the tow rating is higher on the 3.5 ecoboost, it's faster and it gets better fuel economy. So better is worse? That's really what you are saying.
+kma198199 Sounds like shit and will probably be unreliable too. No thanks, if you want an ecobox buy a Civic or a small Toyota pickup. Real pickups have V8s.
My dad has a 2012 super crew with everything. I like this one a lot more. But the push button is ehhh. They're nice but it doesn't seem like something a truck should have.
Great truck, nice to see the trucks evolving too. Anyways, will you be doing an In Depth Review of the new Volvo XC90 anytime soon? Really looking forward to that one
Buying my dad a black on black f150 later this year! Ford has always treated me well and I will continue to buy their lineup for many years to come
PinoyShuffle You are buying him one? Wow what a lucky guy lol
GM is my preferred choice for car buying but this trim of the Ford F150 is the only one i like, kinda beats the Silverado tbh

bed liners should be standard.

Did I just step into an alternate dimension? How else can you explain 5 people in a row complimenting both GM and Ford?
Lmfao a signal that the end is near!

Just ordered a 2016 Platinum 4x4 3.5L with all the bells & whistles from the factory; now I wait 8-12 weeks for delivery
once this truck was revealed, the design looked unappealing to me.. now i actually adore it
very nice truck!
I drove this at the MN Auto Show and it was amazing
"all new 2015"😭😭😭how time passes
Yet they still price them as 'new' in the used lots 🙄
It’s currently 2025

Bought a 2016 Platinum and I love this truck! So much technology compared to my previous 2014 Ram 1500 Limited. Giving Ford a try...so far, I like.
How is it 6 years later? Considering looking at an F-Series for the weather around here and the space
Wow! I enjoyed the review of the 2015 Ford F-150 platinum series. I am more in love with it, and certainly on my list for a new Ford 👍🏿Thanks!!!

I cannot thank you enough for uploading this. By far my favorite full size truck, it would be paradise to take this on a long trip!
Even the power seat controls are beautiful on this thing, nicest full sized pickup in my opinion.
This truck is beautiful! I drive a 2015 Lariat SuperCrew with the 5.0L V8. Currently 2300 miles and loving every bit of it :)

I've been to the F150 plant and saw this truck last year at the factory. They have a pretty good reputation (Unlike GM) and are really luxurious
Excellent video as always and wish you and your family the best!
Another great review, Kyle! Really hope they come out with the Limited trim level on this one. That's always been my favorite.
Today I test drove a 2015 Platinum and I gunned the accelerator pedal, a minute later the truck didn't want to accelerate in the highway 20MPH had to go on the breakdown Lane with the gas pedal all the way to the floor. love your reviews, keep up the good work....
Kyle cool video! I will ask you what would you prefer? This f150 or raptor? There both beautiful but what do you think?
Just a thought Kyle, maybe its time to upgrade to a wireless lav mic for audio done along with the filming. Then maybe there would be less editing work becasue you wouldnt have to do so many voice overs

Does this truck not have a heated steering wheel, or did I miss that?
What a great review. Thank you for posting! You answered all my questions and more!
which is better between the tundra 1794 and ford f150 platinum
This white color looks the best on the f150
I didn't like how the music was, I've always loved the just random music that came on when you'd show the stereo off, like the 2012 Sorento and the C5 Corvette
i really like that music ... where do i find it?
I find it funny that Mercedes wants to make a truck to rival this but I bet with as many options as this has the price will top put at 100k+
top out*
roloxrox123 Could you imagine an AMG pick up to rival the Raptor tho? It would be so sick.
You should feel lucky to drive a truck with a spartan interior for $60k that was made in Germany! Peasant! Lol
+roloxrox123 They make the G-wagon, which could easily be a truck if they extended the frame and added a bed. Check out the G-wagon 6x6, that thing would eat any full size pickup for breakfast.

So body damage must cost a lot more to repair on this truck.. right?
My only gripes are I wish the seats had a thigh extension and it's a shame you don't get a leather wrapped steering wheel.
My younger brother has a 2015 F150 that's rare because it's not an automatic. It's a 5 speed manual.
So all platinums have power running boards?
Give me the 5.0 and I'd be happy, not the EcoBoost.
agree

Eco crap? the tow rating is higher on the 3.5 ecoboost, it's faster and it gets better fuel economy. So better is worse? That's really what you are saying.
+kma198199 Sounds like shit and will probably be unreliable too. No thanks, if you want an ecobox buy a Civic or a small Toyota pickup. Real pickups have V8s.
what's the different between ego v6 and the 5.0 v8
Your reviews are awesome! Thank you for posting them.
At 13:52 you mistakenly identified the grab handle as being on the "B" pillar.
My dad has a 2012 super crew with everything. I like this one a lot more. But the push button is ehhh. They're nice but it doesn't seem like something a truck should have.
Can you do a newer f150 like an 18 or 19 except not as high of a trim package. Maybe an xlt or something
Work of Art! 100%
