Nelly, I'm so glad you came across this video. While watching your review, I felt the same emotions I felt when I saw the video for the first time. It brought tears to my eyes. Tony's experience is much the same as that of my Filipino friends in Hawaii. As a student at the University of Hawaii, I couldn't understand how they could feel that way. I had nothing but admiration for the Filipinos I knew because of the beautiful character they possessed. As a result, I got more involved in the Filipino community and learned as much as I could about the culture, which only solidified my beliefs about them. I was told by some of my friends that my desire to be a part of their community got them to feel pride in being Filipino, which I am humbled by. No Filipino should feel anything but a healthy pride in their heritage. My heart swells with love for the Filipino people, and I'm appreciative for the way they have welcomed me into their community.💗 Aloha at Mabuhay!🤙
I use to be like this guy when I was younger in the Philippines, then when I moved to Los Angeles I had this history teacher who was an ex America G.I., who taught me filipino pride. He told me that if it wasn't for filipinos Americans would be speaking Japanese and we will be in Japanese rule. So now I am proud to be filipino, and I am grateful to the filipinos who fought in 2nd world War who kept the Japanese at bay in the Philippines.
Anyways when I was growing up in the Philippines I was bullied and made fun of all the time, because I did not look filipino. Because my ancestors were all migrants who came to the Philippines in search of a better life. My ancestors came from Europe, Spain, Italy, North America, Mexico, China, and I was born and spend 14 years of my life in the Philippines. Then at the age of 14 we went back to America.
@@dominicbustamante730 , I was born and raised in the Philippines. I don’t think they bullied people from any of those countries you mentioned. I’m sure you’re just another liar who keep giving negative advertisements about the Philippines and why this guy in the video became ashamed of his Philippine ancestry.
I'm a Filipina and I deeply value the videos you continue to share, THANK YOU. As a teacher and dual citizen in the US, I have not forgotten our hospitable nature as Filipinos. I take pleasure in preparing Filipino dishes like Adobo and Bihon (dry noodles), Caldereta, and Escabeche to share with my colleagues. It is my hope that we all learn to respect and appreciate other cultures.
You’re right Nelly you can feel His genuine heart❤ Love this… as an OFW in England I’m always proud to be a Filipino even if always facing racist people everyday…
Wow, i am so touched with this man, i had goosebumps too, i can relate to what he's talking about, thanks Ms. Nelly for sharing this video, we love you and take care always!
Everything he mentioned can be found in other countries as well; they are not exclusive to the Philippines. What truly stands out are those who make positive contributions to people's lives in various ways.
Thanks Ms. Nelly for sharing your videos and beautiful reaction, and I hope more videos for supporting your channel always. Please take care of your self and safe. Almighty God bless you always 🙏💜🙏💝🙏💛🙏💖🙏💓🙏💙🙏💗🙏.
I'm proud to be filipino, I'm Canadians citizens now and filipino as well because of my dual citizenship. I love being canadian now, but I can't give up my filipino roots. I always going back to my hometown in Oriental Mindoro. Yes it's true, our culture and traditions wherever we go still with us. We're easily to adopt other culture too. I met different nationalities coz I worked in middle east Riyadh. I received many compliments from them. They said we're so different from others.
I can't help but be proud of my ethnicity, no matter how wonderful or awful, since it's who I am. Being Filipino comes naturally to me to help, love, and share!
I remember in 2015 when im working in sm north,we have booth there and when a met aprospect who speaking tagalog, i thought hes a ofw, but when we talk yo each other i found out that hes already an american citizen, i doubt about it but he told me why he decide to be an american citizen, he said he dont want to be Filipino and dont want to live here in Philippines, he dont want traffic, he dont want corruption, and everything negative and hate filipino, i feel sad about it, and that time, i have question in my mind, is his living jn america is like paradise?
