When I was your age & living in NYC, I too dreamed of owning a small library. Old books, with hard covers that smelled like... well, you know how old books smell. I had the bookshelves built-into the wall like you'd see in a Nora Ephron rom-com. Then I moved to the West Coast & realized filling an entire U-Haul trailer full of books was dumb... so they all went back to Strand bookstore from whence they came. The point is that owning copious amounts of physical objects (like books) can be an albatross and limit one's mobility early in life. Then again, I derived great joy from purchasing these used books, even though I never read most of them. My advice is to do whatever you want, as I've presented two opposing viewpoints & made you read a wall of text that leaves the reader more confused than when they started.
Found your channel and subbed! This was honestly the perfect way to do a bookshelf tour! ✨💖💕💜😂 Absolutely loved this, keep up the great work! I have a personally fun question for you. Would you rather be able to read only romance books during the summer or read only fantasy books during the winter?
definitely unrelated- but what’s your opinion on the reading order of sarah j. maas books? i’m currently finishing acotar. should i read ToG or crescent city next? thank you!
You probably already know but you can get books from resale shops and book fairs and online stores and the library. Unless you only want new copies. Anyway, I like your energy😊
the brutal birthright series is going out of print so you’d wanna snatch the old copies up or wait until the new covers are out around beginning?? of 2024
@@HeatherMcLarry yess it’s on bloom books! they changed the print and i believe it has bonus content, the first book goes out of print july 25 and the second book in august! you have some time, would get them indie now they’re cheaper since they’re being published ❤️❤️
Harry Potter books are everywhere in thrift stores and have the used look!! Don’t buy them brand new, usually goodwill have loads of Harry Potter.
You are absolutely hilarious! 😂 Thanks for validating those of us with small physical book collections!
