I totally realate to feeling most beautiful in nature. One thing that made me fall in love with backpacking is that for the first time in my life I wasn't thinking about belly rolls, or jiggly thighs, or if my body looked the way it "should". My body becomes my ally on the trail.
Thanks so much for the information and ideas and you both are so funny. We 70 years old generation is true what you said what was expected in society. I cried with you when you finished. I have felt that to some extent on some hikes. Yes, do it and push forward. Don’t let fear get in your way along with the dang trolls. Thanks again and Jen, thank your husband on this Veterans Day 🇺🇸for his service along with thank you Jen for your support to him.
You ladies are both amazing! Solid advice!! One of the first lessons I learned thru-hiking the PCT was to throw the plan out the window and just go with the flow. Once I fully accepted this lesson, my hike was incredibly amazing and there’s no way I could’ve planned for any of that amazingness. So many wonderful memories.
I need to watch this again because I was interrupted multiple times. 🙄 That’s how much I love the two of you! 🤗 Watching the two of you on your hikes either together or separately, helps me remember my own adventures when I was your age (hiking and skiing). It makes me want to get back out there again! And, I think I’d almost prefer to go section hiking with one of my girlfriends...versus my husband! I think I might actually have more fun. 🤭 😂🙃
I came across Jennifer's Instagram while she was doing the PCT but didn't realize it up until the mountain lion incident or maybe a little before. It then clicked why she was posting pictures of how dirty she would get and all the amazing pictures she would take. It was like a mini series. Thanks for keeping up updates Jennifer!!
Such a fun video . . . I came here from the link on Jen's "Final Day" video. I love that blanket and think it's cool that you carry the extra weight. I use to think I was not strong enough to carry non-essentials but after 1700 miles of the PCT I think I can carry more now. My non-essential is a Z-Pad on top of my air mattress to sooth my old bones :o) This is cool . . . I did the same thing you did, I decided to start hiking the PCT in 2019 just to get in shape and see how well I did and I ended up doing 1,200 miles (all of Calif except the Sierras) without a permit and then this year I got a permit did the High Sierras (500+ miles). Now I know I can do more than i ever thought I could. Jennifer was one of my inspirations. P.S. You have a great voice which I mentioned in one of Jen's videos
Im glad you mentioned on one of Jens videos I have a great voice! Im sure she loved that. Haha. So great. I think she started to find my voice annoying. Yes my blanket brings so much comfort! I will carry it on every trip.
I’ve heard you say it about the PNT before but I loved hearing it again: that you chose it for the solitude. That’s the exact reason I hike too and it’s the one thing that has hit me watching American thru hiking videos (I’m from Sweden). I just don’t get how people wanna head out hiking and not get to be alone 😅 each to their own I guess, but you’re the first TH-camr I’ve heard agree with me on this
After watching this and the TRT videos I think Jen's trail name should be Dirty Girl and Dianna's should be Goofball Enjoyed this and looking forward to the last TRT video 📸!
Found you since I was following Whimsical Woman, shhh....much more entertaining. JK, you are fucking hilarious! Can’t wait to watch some of your videos.
This was fantastic 👍 Both of you deserve all the fulfillment from meeting your measures in Nature. Outstanding ❤ ✌ 👣 👣 BTW , I always thought Jen's trail name should've been "PigPen" 😆 LOL
Great questions. I have a ? for the dirty girl. In a clip you could see two water bottles in her pack. One of them was REALLY brown. Is that the colour of the pre filtered water or was it clean with some additive that made it that colour?
Oh man that would be so much fun! We just don't live near each other. Maybe this year I'll see if she wants to get together and we will do a mini series.
@@dyanacarmella1379Hahahaha! What is this, the 1950's? Actually, even then the tech existed for people on opposite sides of the planet to talk to each other on the same broadcast/recording. Distance is no issue.
...Great 2-way Q&A ,, Admire and respect you both,, strong women.....you make a good team ,, love the trail shots.. ... Social education for men.. class # 101 - NEVER tell a strong woman she can't do something ..... She will make you EAT your words !!.. ..I hike Dyana's style .. for the moment , or happening available......... for me , it's to fishing spots ..might be more than one in a day ,, but spend time at each ...if possible set up camp early enough to have "golden hour" to fish ,, (last 2 hrs of sunlight)... never hiked a 20 mile day in my life .. been on mountain trails over 50 years....with all the water to fish on the PCT ,, it would take me 5 years to do it... ...maybe need to design hiking pants with a flap on the back......lol..
Y’all are funny together, funny video!

Funny. ...and informative.
Gosh, I just love the two of you together so much! You make me laugh so hard every time. I just want to be part of that. Haha

At the water pump....had to be a classic....Im paraphrasing...."I dont have the answer...it's just there"....LOL. !!!
It was amazing that two such different people, who had traveled long trails alone, could come together for TRT.
Now it is clear why they joined
You two definitely need to do more hikes together! Super entertaining, inspiring and fun! We need that right now! Thank you!
I hope you two do more hikes together- loved watching
Maybe.. If she's lucky. (=
SAIR I agree! 👍. More trips...more videos!
Dyana Carmella Lol....😂🤣😅
Love watching you both! You have inspired me to do the Tahoe Rim Trails as soon as possible!
You two make a great duo! Good questions.
Great Q&A!
I like that clip of Jen doing a climb. Shows how difficult it is.
The best advice, just Go! Hikers on the trail will help you and look out for you

She likes to talk about random things that don’t matter 😂😂 loved every answer lmao
It's true!! LOL

Hahaha!! I'll never forget that moment.
Great interview!!!
Thank you! It was so fun to film.

I subscribe to both of their channels! What amazing and hysterical women. Would flip a gasket if I ever got to see them on trail🥰.

Haha! She ads water enhancements. Maybe it was like ice tea flavoring or something. I know she uses red fruity flavoring.. maybe it was that. (=
@@dyanacarmella1379 Thank God. I don't' know of any filter that could handle that. It looks like a bottle of giardia.

Jennifer doesn't have any dirt on her face. So unnatural. Nice video though.
