know Jacob Collier well yes! He is crazy talented, i'm not sure there's anyone who could keep up with his arrangements as they go all over the place. I find his tone incredibly round, like an owl!
Chenyu like Dimash is very unique and you will never not be surprised by a Chenyu performance. He can take you to the Heavens with songs like "Child", shock you with "Fake Monk" or make you cry like a baby with "Dad, I'm Home". Thank you for both Dimash and Chenyu.

The feminime part he was singing was actually a traditional chinese opera back in thousand of years ago. He’s simply amazing🙏
This fella is definitely a gifted creature. You have to get the english sub version for your next reaction videos of him, as voice only is one of his ingredients in his performance. What I think he is really talented in is he put in all his acting, gestures, voice, instruments arrangement and lyrics to create the "Atmosphere" that he wants the audience to jump in. Check out the creepy "Fake Monk" by him that will make u think of the movie "The Joker". And "Dad, I'm Home" that he will make u cry with only some mumbling sentences and a few simple notes.
He is a force in stage, whether this great song or a more soft song or a sad song! He sells out concerts in seconds! He’s in my top 2. This about martial arts! So much fun! More!
Since I listened to his ordinary path cover from Pu Shu 4 years ago , each and every time seeing him perform I fall always in love with his songs anew....
This dynamic writes most of his music, incorporating some operatic inflections. He is so exciting and dramatic in his performances. He commands the stage. Singer's orchestra/band has so many of the members I have seen every year since 2013.

HuaHua rearranged the song himself and for some song asked for someone to sing with him softly, really great you noticed that! He is really great for coming up with something like that, (note we still don’t know his highest note he sang very high in other songs even higher than here and in a show it was a competition who could hit the highest note he went so freaking high I don’t know which note exactly, I’m not a musician but that that was a mini game against very experienced singers and he beat everyone and we don’t know if he could go even higher because every time they went one note higher until there was one person left and HuaHua won eventually after competing long against one other person who could also hit very high notes but we don’t know how much further he could go. He didn’t even use his ‘fake voice’ yet and it was sooo high I bet I could break a glass if he held it before his mouth.

He is well known for his powerful vocals, dramatic stage performance and talents in composing. He plays piano, guitar, flute, drum...etc. He has very solid classical background but he is a rock star who can also do rap, pop, ballad, opera, musical....etc. Huahua has the power of making any songs his own! He is the most strongest China “Live” young male singer. And he is the only one singer who’s creating original and various voice in Chinese singer history. Lyrics say that “hurry up, follow me using the nunchuck”,and his move is TaiChi.

Hua Chenyu is a real artist. He is such a unique thinker, super creative and amazing at performing.
HuaHua sees his voice as an instrument, in fact, the only reason he started singing was that the instruments weren`t able to make all the sounds he wanted. He got famous from a competition called Super Boy that he was first bribed into joining because of food, then later they had to persuade him to stay as he was afraid he would become famous. He later changed his mind about things, right before the final, to accept everything bad that comes with the music industry so that he could fully enjoy the good things. He won the competition and is now the top performer in China and it is so hard to get tickets to his concerts. He has tried and failed to get tickets to his own concerts and he is genuinely embarrassed(in a fun way) for failing haha
His fans(the "Martians" or "ET") has had fun tesing him about it, but I believe they have also written an apology to him now lol
HuaHua has so much to offer, and even if he has changed a bit from his first performance in the SuperBoy competition, he is still exactly the same if that makes sense:)

The traditional Chinese style singing Hua chen yu did is call " Beijing opera" which is the most of traditional Chinese singing.
That band is one of the best bands in China.

I consider Hua second to Dimash in his creativity and his unique style of singing. Hua can remake and totally change a cover into just about 24 hours. He has done it often for a special show. He never knew what was going to be thrown to him. He lives music and composes almost all of his own.

In Nunchucks, he intersperses Chinese Opera techniques in the song...And He is someone who considers his vocals to be part of the complete Composition of the music... He is soo talened and I consider him to be the Chinese Dimash - in his innovations and creativity.!

blueorchidfeather I personally wouldn’t compare the two in musicality, they’re completely different in what they sing, the way they sing and the way they see music. I’m not trying to cause an argument, just saying that they are very different within music and the way they interpret it. The way HuaHua views singing and composing as a whole blows my mind. Although I agree that both of them put their vocals very impressively into the composition! Don’t get me wrong I love both of them, but I wouldn’t compare them to one another because they’re unique in their own ways.

Dimash and Hua Chenyu are my major finds from the singer competition, they're both amazing! Nice reaction too :)

Oh BTW the rapping track is pre-recorded by Hua Chenyu himself, and if you listening carefully at the Chinese opera part, he also pre-recorded a male voice version of what he singing in falsetto. He always pre-recorded supporting choirs for himself😚😚😚
And yes he is doing Tai-Chi at the part hahaha, even some professional gestures of female Chinese Opera characters (because that part he is playing a female character)

Thank you for reacting to Hua! He has much more talents than what he shows in "Nunchucks". He is very versatile and always perform a different style on the SINGER 2018's stage. Just for your choices, if you like ROCK N ROLL, check out his original song "I don't care"(ep7), to know how high he can hit and his voice control, check out "Child"(ep5). Or some fresh staff? His new song "A New World" -- performed at the music festival, in which he mimics an ancient Chinese musical instrument "Xun" (a globular clay-made flute). A very creative and brilliant way to infuse a feeling of vastness. I've never seen anyone using such techniques effectively in their works, not merely showing a talent which may in the shows like "America's Got Talent", but artistically. He sings Rock and goes into the Female Chinese Opera singing about which martial arts weapon he should used and he chose Nunchucks since they are benevolent but there is Tai-Chi & Qi- Gong.
(I think you already know about the YT HUA Chenyu English Subs. They have most of his songs, interviews, other shows The Next & Ace vs Ace but you really should go back to 2013 when he won Super Boy and watch his Mars Concerts, he is quite a complex person and highly talented and creative. He helps design the stages)

The third part (after his rap) is Chinese opera singing. In the olden days, women were not allowed to participate in theater plays. So the men would play both the male and female roles.

The traditional way he used in this performance is called Xi Qiang“戏腔”， which is used in Chinese traditional drama, such as Peking Opera. Sam, really recommend you React to Hua Chenyu's performance of "God Tree" in his 2023 Mars Concerts. We don't see anything like this in the West. "God Tree" is not in my Top 10 Hua Chenyu songs, but you have to SEE this performance. 😳😍😳

I missed yr live chat... we r of different time zone. Hua is a music Composer n often uses his voice as an music instrument. To me he is a magician, he gives out tons of surprises. He is now the TOP performer in CHina, last sat his concert tickets (50,000 tix fr 1 nite) sold out in 5 seconds.
U can check out ' Fake Monk' rearranged by him. A very dark n deep song. Just a piano n his voice. Nothing else. This performance can transport u to outer space. Very amazing.

Wow, second song I hear with this guy and every time he is just a box of surprises. Even bringing in traditional Chinese theater together with rapping. So refreshing after same old same old production from the US/UK music machine. No limits here. Everything can come together even classical European elements going straight into rock and rap. Brilliant and refreshing

There is a useful channel called "Hua Chenyu Eng. subs" which would be good to use for future episodes. In this case though, they go by so quickly that they would have distracted from the singing a lot. It is a re-arranged rap song with lyrics about kung fu. In the Chinese opera type part his hand movements are called "orchid fingers" and the lyrics do mention Tai Chi. If you also react to "Fake Monk", there is a version on that "Hua Chenyu Eng. subs" channel with a pre-show interview, where he explains why he interpreted that song the way he did. You pronounced his name correctly the first time, like "Every breath you take I'll be Hua Chenyu."
That last sentence absolutely killed me! "I'll be Hua Chenyu!" Hahahahaha sorry no more reactions from me as i'm now dead haha!

This song don’t actually push his vocal range to the limits. You can try other songs like 齐天，孩子 to see more of his vocal range
