  • A parade, dancing, sports events, arts and craft, free food. Join me as I show you some of the glorious offerings of the Sangam Fiji Annual Convention held at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
The Sangam movement began in Fiji in the 1920s with the benevolent efforts of Sadhu Swami and his followers. Today it manages not only religious and cultural centres but also funds and manages primary and secondary schools, vocational training centres and a Nursing School around Fiji. It is built around the principles of helping people of all races, religious beliefs and ethnic backgrounds.
Please like, comment, and subscribe. This helps me make more fascinating content. Above all, just share the love.

Fiji's Hinduism is the most tolerant and inclusive faith of Hindus and Fiji's Hindus are so blessed to be part of the South Pacific for 150 years. India's neo- fascist Modi government can learn from Fiji islands how it can return India to a more tolerant and inclusive society.

You would have to tell that to the thousands of displaced Hindus within India itself to be more tolerant of their attackers in West Bengal, Kashmir, Kerala, Assam and many other parts of the country. Hindus were very inclusive from the beginning. Do you hear of attacks on Parsees, Tibetans, Jews, Bahais, Ahmadis, Ismaili Khojas, Buddhists or Jains - the true minorities, from the majority? Almost never. The global media is deeply anti-Hindu and because of that, the image of an intolerant India is common.
