Im glad they figured out how to make a folding case. Ive used otterbox defender cases for the better part of rhe last ten years. They arent always cheap, but they are durable enough to justify dropping the insurance plans most carriers offer. Im very clumsy and rough with my devices and never had a cracked screen, even without screen protectors once they stopped being included in the defender cases. Amd ive dropped my phone and gad it get kicked around in moshpits, dropped on concrete and very hard old wood floors numerous times. My only disappointment is that this lacks the 2 layered protection of their normal defender line. Usually there is a hard interior clamshell, then a rubber lining on the outside.
I have this case had butter fingers one day and it dropped, the hinge popped off 😂 but thankfully no scratches. I’ve never had a case do that before. The hinge did snap back on
That's the most important part 😅 as long as no damage on your phone. I guess because of the hinge, they're a little more fragile versus non foldable phones
It may even been to help you phone that it pops out I'm assuming if when you drop it the part that pops is because maybe it's taking the most of the pressure and then it pops off therefore stopping the force from the drop reaching your phone it happen on my last otter box case fur my surface duo 2 loads but never broke and phone always survived I just assumed it was some sort of thing to alleviate the pressure so it has an escape route
The fingerprint area is deep and harder to get to compared to other cases, but it still works. My complaint is it lifts my Zagg screen protector in spots.
@doncali7722 i wasn't sure what to do at first, but it's not horrible. The Zagg has a warranty, so if it gets too bad, I'll exchange it and use another case that I bought. Is yours lifting badly?
@doncali7722 it didn't help that my wife was talking to me, and I put the screen protector on upside-down at first 🙃. I was able to remove it and put it on correctly.
Only problem I've had is that of the several screen protectors I've tried for the front screen will all start bubbling at the edges since the case pushes on them, would be great if there was a screen cover out there that was just a little smaller dimensions to not touch the otterbox plastic edges.
I went with the thin clear one, its just nice and adds a bit of protection... but i have had the defender forever on my s22 ultra and it was great... just don't like the hinge bulk... of course some protection loss there

Is it best to put the screen protector on before you put the phone in the case of afterward? I'm not using glass but a film protector. Thanks. Good install video
For some reason I am seeing really bad reviews about this case. Complaints about the front screen not being usable and things like that. How has this case been holding up for u?
front screen is usable and the case is great for those that need that added protection. I personally prefer a slimmer case, so the Thin Flex is better for me. Maybe the bulk is what the complaint is about ?
@@FIREWOLFUNBOX people keep saying also it doesn't close all the way? Have u experienced that with yours? and how is the case holding up overall for you?
Did not scratch the hinge. Overall for me personally, I prefer slimmer cases so something like the Thin Flex is better for me. I would want this case if I'm exposed to constant drops or rugged environments
These cases are also super durable though. Enough to elimiate the need for an insurance plan on your phone. My galaxy s21 ultra has one and has been dropped and kicked around moshpits on concrete floors and still come out unscathed. Edit: actually that was probably my galaxy note 9 but the case is basically the same between both models. Ive used these cases for a decade now and they have always been absolutely perfect.
@MattHikesHills did you not get the free year of samsung care+ with the promotion? I can't bring myself to put a case on the fold 6, it's absolutely gorgeous
@wentoneisendon6502 I got insurance with my network. It's a shame to cover the phone but it's a slippery thing, especially when unfolding. The case makes it a lot easier to unfold.

Do you think dust or durt can get through it when close? I travel to areas with lots of dust lol
It probably could since its not like its completely sealed off
It is definitely not dust proof. You might want to to keep your phone in a pouch or something.
