Goldilocks: Her head is way too small for her body and she looks far too much like Alice, so no. 2nd princess: No. Odette: No. Doroty: They already did a Wizard of Oz sequal called Return to Oz in the 1980s.

I'd like to make 2 suggestions, 1st- I think that Disney should make the animated movie "PRINCESS ACADEMY", & 2nd, I think they should also make a new animated movie called "THE 12 DANCING PRINCESSES". Now that would be exciting to watch. 🧚♀💃🏰🏫❤🎬🎞🎥🎨🖌🖊
Disney DID eventually make the live action film ‘Return to Oz’…I’m not so sure Walt himself would approve of that film tho. 😅 the 80s were honestly such an odd time for Disney movies. I was lucky enough to have been born in 1991, at the dawn of the ‘Disney Renaissance Era’ and got to grow up with masterpieces like ‘Mulan’, ‘Aladdin’, and ‘Tarzan’ as they were coming out. 😊
The director Walter Murch was good friends with George Lucas and apparently Disney tried to can murch in production. Lucas went to bat to keep him and im glad cause this dark movie was a staple of my childhood and the books were creepy so it fits!
Why didn’t they just make a Disney Princess Enchanted Tales series on Disney Channel? Instead they release two movies, and then nothing else after that. They just give up halfway through.
I think Disney chose to adapt Hunchback as a response to the Claude-Michel Schönberg Les Mis musical. Where it was a different Victor Hugo book so it was similar enough, but not the same story as it would have just been compared to that.
These would of looked interesting. I've came up with five Disney princesses: Princess Antonella who will be the first Italian princess and second princess to be a secondary character (first being Jasmine) since the storyline is about the title character, Geronomio who will be the first half-royalty prince. Chloe who will be the first Canadian princess and the fourth princess to be married into royalty (after Cinderella, Belle and Tiana) this storyline is about her who is cursed making her human in the day but a mysterious wendigo at night, she'll need to find her true story in order for her curse to be lifted, she'll marry a prince named Edouard, the prince of Maplea, a Canadian-based kingdom. Princess Amelia and Olivia will a pair of first Australian princesses who are in love with a pair of princes named Ethan and Thomas, this storyline is loosely based on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Elysia will be a titular siren princess (even though that may sound like Ariel) who lives in the North Sea, her storyline is in a middle of a siren-pirate war and she falls in love with a Dutch pirate prince named Adrianus. I've been coming up with these ideas since 2018, they'll all be 2D animated musical fantasies to have the Disney Renaissance feelings, classic love stories and classic villains who are evil from start to finish.
The Wizard of Oz will explain why the wicked witch features so much in Once Upon a Time. I could see where all the other characters came from because of the Disney projects, but not her.
Shirley Temple was actually cast as Dorothy. The issue was that she was signed to Fox. A deal was struck to loan her to MGM for the film in exchange for the loan of Clarke Gable and Jean Harlow. But then Harlow unexpectedly passed away and the deal was scrapped. Fox wouldn’t let her go. And as much as I love Temple, I’m so glad she wasn’t Dorothy. It wouldn’t have been the enduring classic that it is without Judy Garland’s beautiful vocals. It would have been ok, but it would be “just another Shirley Temple movie” with cutesie dancing and “meh” songs.
The problem is with Disney going full on DEI woke, there won’t be another Caucasian Princess for a long, long time. And Princess Minnehaha would only offend the folks who are offended by Pocahontas.
Since there's been a couple already, I don't think it's a problem to add more diversity . As long as that diversity does not come from race swapping the previous ones.
Still waiting for a Disney swan lake...they should ditch all these live action films and do an snimated swan princess! We need a another odette. By the way the 90s swan princess is fantastic still a favorite.
Minnehaha, and Hiawatha are really well known names in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hiawatha is a neighborhood, and an avenue, and Minnehaha is a park, and a street, and a waterfall all within minneapolis. It's so cool to me that even watching youtube, I'm still reminded of our lands history.
Yennenga is a cool warrior princess in Mossi mythology (modern-day Burkina Faso) about this bad @$$ princess who just wants to find a nice man to settle down with and start a family with. But her father doesn't want to let his best warrior to marry. I can see her story fitting in disney nicely as she would be the first-ever African princess and be the perfect example of how to write a strong female character that's a good role model for children. It's gold just waiting to happen but they instead made a mermaid black to pander to the people.
Interesting and ironic that “babes in toy land” incorporates elements of the wizard of oz because ray bolger, who played the scarecrow in oz, was the bad guy in babes in toy land.
Disney definitely could have made Latin American princess films (Coco, the Emperor's New Groove, and Encanto aren't in the same vein as good as they were). The material was there. Both Brazil and Mexico had European royalty at one point in their country during or after the colonial period. But that wasn't even necessary either. Much like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, there was a lot of interesting history in countries like Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina between 1521-1900. Also, most Disney fans don't know, but Disney actually liked to use European classical music to score their films (Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, etc.), just like they used actual fairy tales. Both Mexico and Brazil had classical composers going back centuries. In fact some popular waltzes, originally believed to be German in American pop culture were actually composed by a Mexican composer in Mexico (Ex: Over the Waves). There are many more examples, but too long a list. And if looking at historical heroines like Mulan or Anastasia (I know not Disney), they could look at figures like Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz from Mexico, Juana Azurduy from Argentina, or Policarpa Salvatierra from Colombia. Point is, all the elements for a Latin American Disney princess are there. Disney just hasn't really looked closely in the past.
I really liked the second Odette concept and Dorothy - I would have gone with an older version of Shirley Temple - 16 or 20 year old her- for reference. Saw her play John Wayne's daughter. I would like to see A Rose Red/Rose White Disney version - Or Oscar Wilde's Salome, but that's too dark.
I'd love to see more in this series! Even if it's just imagining other cartoons as Disney Princesses (ie what if the simpsons was created by disney, 4 historical figures reimagined into disney princesses & writing out their film plot!)
Peau D'Asne is probably the fourth more famous fairy tale Princess between the realese of Snow White and The Sleeping beauty. Her popularity deminsih in the 80s, because of the incest subject. And was easily replaced by The Little Mermaid and Belle.
i watched princess swan for the first as an adult i had never seen it as a kid and boy was it so bad like i couldn’t even appreciate any aspect of it other than the animation
Ok The Swan Princess was perfect I'm glad Disney didn't get their paws on it on this one 😂. Swan 🦢 Princess was a big favorite in our house growing up ❤
Disney should either do a movie about a princess who's father is the dark lord and is just flat unfazed by a lot of evil stuff while still fitting the classic Disney mold or one where the Princess is the true villain in the end and is just a master galighter and manipulator.
The classic fairy tales are filled with usable story, moral, character and plot. So therefore Disney will just dredge another property from its past and beat it woke and keep going broke. Your AI combos are intriguing, not what I pictured but true to style.
Minnehaha in the poem has the drawback of being almost entirely a side character. A little kid version in a short cartoon could work, but as a feature film protagonist, I just don’t think she’d be viable.
That comes from a 1933 short animated by Ted Eshbaugh. It was made asd supposed to have been released in Technicolor, but by the time they were done Disney had signed an exclusive contract with Technicolor, so it lay on the shelves for years. Eventually black-and-white copies got out, but now the full-color version is available. One place is right here on TH-cam! th-cam.com/video/B9KidXbATgw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BilboBarpkins
Your concept art.... 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍❤️🩷💖 its perfect! Its so respectful of the time period, which was my favorite, where they still portrayed the characters faces realistically and not cartoonish.... and you also gave a bunch of history about these possibilities. Sorry for blabbing, i love this so much. Amazing job.
Oh my goodness thank you for your nice comment! Thank you so much! I worked REALLY hard on the art and concept and wanted everything to be perfect! Thank you!
I used to have this classic Disney record called Tubby the Tuba with Annette Funicello narrating the story, and I would have loved to see that as a full movie.
The Princess on 4:00 is *NOT* Disney. She's a Columbia Tristar Home entertainment character, and the film is titled as "The Swan Princess, *NOT* "Swan Lake"!
Disney actually made FIVE of those Oz records, at least. The one you showed is the 78 (I think) and they also for that did versions of The Scarecrow of Oz, The Tin Woodman of Oz, and The Cowardly Lion of Oz (though all of them deviated a LOT from the actual books, more so as you go down the list, the Cowardly Lion one had NOTHING to do with the books). They then re-did the Wizard as a 45 with new illustrations for another set (and you see that one a lot). In some ways, the pictures with those give you a clue as to where they might have gone with Dorothy had they done it. The main problem with the design you showed is the one from the MGM movie, Dorothy is way too old (she's supposed to be about eight to ten in the books). That rainbow special gives a clue as to where they might have gone, older than eight to ten, but younger than Garland's fifteen or so. Specifically in the Scarecrow, which has a group pic of many Oz citizens, it looks like they might have actually planned to hand the role over to Haley Mills (who they were already using a lot), since their drawing has a very Pollyanna like look to it. www.amazon.com/Scarecrow-Oz-Ray-Bolger-Based/dp/B0085BC2RU
I grew up during the 90s and watched Disney blossom with their incredible movies. And I kept waiting for them to tell stories from India, Africa, South America (Emperors New Groove is alright, but I’m talking a more serious movie), etc. and then….. nothing… 😢
The AI art is both unethical and badly rendered. None of your versions come close to anything that Disney might have done. You could have done this whole truly fascinating discussion without any of the AI art and it would have been a thousand times better. Minihaha, had it come out, would lie on the trash heap of history alongside Song of the South. The racism of Little Hiawatha makes me glad that Minihaha never came to fruition. I would have loved a Disney Wizard of Oz. However, I suspect that Walt would have gone with costuming more from the books than the MGM movie, copyright being what it was. The rest would have been wonderful to see, especially Odette, as I felt the movie that was actually made was pretty poor quality.
Goldilocks? To begin with, you can’t make her older than 10, tops, or her behavior becomes alarmingly idiotic. She is not a heroine either, nor does she embody any quality of character or virtue. It’s a case of havoc wreaked by a disrespectful child. I don’t think Goldilocks has any redeeming qualities! 😳
Odette wasn't a disney princess, plus the Swan Princess film wasn't disney either, but if she would've been a disney princess she would be my favourite along with all the rest but her as number 1
Hollywood should stop remaking. Unless it's live action. But disney should rest for awhile making live action. Because they're horrible at marketing. They can't shut the critics.

I like Swan Princess the way it is. The comedy is also Gold. I don't know how Disney would have written it but what we have is Gold. LEAVE IT LIKE THAT !!!!
Hugs and Kisses
I agree that movie is GOLD! Such a classic!
I know you said Goldilocks is a blend of Alice & Snow White, but I can't help seeing shades of Elwony from 'The Black Cauldron'...
Good Point!
Goldilocks: Her head is way too small for her body and she looks far too much like Alice, so no.
2nd princess: No.
Odette: No.
Doroty: They already did a Wizard of Oz sequal called Return to Oz in the 1980s.
Little Minnehaha
I agree.
Also, first two should be more childlike, than adult.
Odette was alright, not convinced by Dorothy.
They're all beautiful, just I don't see them in the role.
It's AI, what do you expect?
@@oboebuddy15I had suspicions it was AI! That's for pointing it out
Would really love a snow white and rose red Disney film.
Yes! I agree!
Fav fairytale for sure, I would have loved that. Would need to change Snow White's name to avoid confusion though.
The cancelled Disney version of Odette looks every bit like the Barbie version and the RichCrest version.
True
I liked the brunette version of Odette
Disney did do a live action movie Return to Oz in 1985. Kind of nightmare inducing but I like it
As Minnehaha and Hiawatha are both legends from my home state of Minnesota that got popularized by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s “The Song of Hiawatha,” I gotta admit to being curious
Disney had also planned a Rapunzel movie after Snow White but nothing really came of it, no concept or anything, supposedly they had a hard time coming up with a satisfying story, especially one centered aroumd being stuck in a tower for majority of the film. Im saying this really because atleast the Goldilocks one can very well become a future movie, aslong as they stay away from blonde and blue dress which i imagine is gonna be difficult because thats her design
They should bring those cancelled projects out at least it isnt a remake 😂
True!

Lol, still no Ancient Egyptian Disney Princesses? *I wantta Nitocris Movie*
Ooohh never thought about that 🤔 An Egyptian princess would definitely be cool
My great aunt's name is Nitocris ☺️
@@LauraMelle1995 Was she named after Nitocris?
@kingtut3152 Yep, I'm Egyptian 😊 it's not a common name though, she's the only one I know with that name. My great grandfather had an ancient Egyptian theme to the naming of his children 😄 Ramses, Isis, Nitocris, and, my favourite name of them all, Lotus 😄
@@LauraMelle1995 Do you know what percentage you are Egyptian?
I remember when I wanted to be a Disney animator. I had an idea for a movie based off the Wild Swans by Hans Christian Andersen.
I wanted to be a Disney Animator too! I actually got to paint with the Disney Animator who worked on the little mermaid 🧜🏻♀️
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette lucky you. I actually met Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel) I promised her that I would do it for her. Unfortunately, my mother dashed my dreams as I was starting my first college course. She told me that I was unrealistic. I never recovered since. Jodi is supposed to be coming back to town for a convention. How do I look her in the eyes knowing that I failed her.
Your princesses look so much better than these new bulb eyes creatures. Thank you. Could you please design the goose girl and the prince from Engelbert Humperdinck's Königskinder. Always thought, it would be a great Disney movie.
Thank you so much! I worked hard on them!
i kinda gave up after rapunzel, i like tiana but this wierd style is getting boring with the big eyes lmao
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette I love your elegant designs! This is Disney! Do you consider to do the goosegirl, prince, fiddler and witch for the opera Königskinder/Royal children? It is such a beautiful, yet sad story. I think the goose girl should be a little bit like Aurora/Audrey Hepburn with flowers in her hair.
This production here is too modernized. It is set in 1920 and not in the Middle Ages🙄. Nevertheless the music is haunting and the acting quite good:

Dorothy looks a lot like an animated version of Elizabeth Taylor. Ironic, if you think about the term "friend of Dorothy", in which Taylor was 'Dorothy'.
Yes! I made a video about the princess academy!
I would LOVE to see Disney's take on "The Twelve Dancing Princesses."
Heck yes!!
All of them look better than the garbage Disney is pumping out these days.
The blonde Odette looks breathtaking.
Idk if it would've been better but I love the swan princess the way it was made.
I loved Return to Oz!
Why didn’t they just make a Disney Princess Enchanted Tales series on Disney Channel? Instead they release two movies, and then nothing else after that. They just give up halfway through.
Oooohhh that would have been cool!
2:12 This Goldilocks looks so tall and athletic, nearly the level of a Dutch or Scandinavian teenage girl preparing for the Olympics!
Personally, I wish Disney did Les Miserables, that Victor Hugo book seems more like something Disney would adapt rather than Hunchback.
That would have been very interesting 🤔
I think Disney chose to adapt Hunchback as a response to the Claude-Michel Schönberg Les Mis musical. Where it was a different Victor Hugo book so it was similar enough, but not the same story as it would have just been compared to that.
These would of looked interesting. I've came up with five Disney princesses:
Princess Antonella who will be the first Italian princess and second princess to be a secondary character (first being Jasmine) since the storyline is about the title character, Geronomio who will be the first half-royalty prince.
@@tonyparra8459 I actually made 2 of these. I made a Italian one and a Canadian one 😊
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette What are they like?
The Wizard of Oz will explain why the wicked witch features so much in Once Upon a Time. I could see where all the other characters came from because of the Disney projects, but not her.
Once upon a time was not made by Disney, they were bought for streaming
@@pixiepalasmr6881 It originally aired on ABC, which was created as a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. Disney has always had the rights to it.
I'd be curious to see if Disney would make The Twelve Dancing Princesses into a film. It was one of my favourite stories as a kid.
It would be cool if they did!
I loathe race swapped characters/movies.
Swan Princess was supposed to get replaced by something like this? I thought replacing trash with trash was bad?
The swan princess is perfect, I’m glad it ended up as it did actually
Agreed! It is one of the best animated movies ever!!!
Still waiting for a Disney swan lake...they should ditch all these live action films and do an snimated swan princess! We need a another odette. By the way the 90s swan princess is fantastic still a favorite.
Yessss! I totally agree!!!!
Your concept art for Minehaha (sp) resembles the Land-O-Lakes butter mascot.
Yes and they got rid of her, too.
It would've been nice to see a British or African princess😔😫
I have another video coming out Thursday with concept art and story for an African Princess
I am not sad about Disney not getting the rights to Swan Princess or Wizard of OZ. Those are both amazing films without Disney.
Um, NONE of these characters were EVER princesses!!! That is probably why they never WERE made into Disney movies🤷♂️
No one at Disney can draw like that anymore. Even Tiana is a Black Belle, and Prince Naveen a Latin Aladdin.
Not At ALL
Interesting and ironic that “babes in toy land” incorporates elements of the wizard of oz because ray bolger, who played the scarecrow in oz, was the bad guy in babes in toy land.
Actually it wasn't her singing skills it's that they weren't able to trade two actors that Shirley's Studio wanted in exchange for Shirley
Don Bluth's princesses! ❤ Odette, Thumbelina and Anastasia
Oh yeah I forgot about Anastasia
I really liked the second Odette concept and Dorothy - I would have gone with an older version of Shirley Temple - 16 or 20 year old her- for reference. Saw her play John Wayne's daughter. I would like to see A Rose Red/Rose White Disney version - Or Oscar Wilde's Salome, but that's too dark.
South Korean Disney Princess ❤❤ 🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷
I know you didn't diss Swan Princess. That movie was 🔥.
I would NEVER diss that movie. It’s a CLASSIC!
I’m hoping Walt Disney Animation Studios could make a animated film of The Wild Swans
9:08 Where is this from?
It’s from Wreck It Ralph 2
I'd love to see more in this series! Even if it's just imagining other cartoons as Disney Princesses (ie what if the simpsons was created by disney, 4 historical figures reimagined into disney princesses & writing out their film plot!)
Thanks! I am planning on making a part 2 very soon! Stay tuned 😁
Disney did a live-action squeal of the Wizard of Oz in the 1980s Return to Oz.
Peau D'Asne is probably the fourth more famous fairy tale Princess between the realese of Snow White and The Sleeping beauty. Her popularity deminsih in the 80s, because of the incest subject. And was easily replaced by The Little Mermaid and Belle.
Go back to making fairy tale adaptations, Disney! 😢
i watched princess swan for the first as an adult i had never seen it as a kid and boy was it so bad like i couldn’t even appreciate any aspect of it other than the animation
Ok The Swan Princess was perfect I'm glad Disney didn't get their paws on it on this one 😂. Swan 🦢 Princess was a big favorite in our house growing up ❤
true! It is such a classic! :)
The bears look so sweet
Disney should either do a movie about a princess who's father is the dark lord and is just flat unfazed by a lot of evil stuff while still fitting the classic Disney mold or one where the Princess is the true villain in the end and is just a master galighter and manipulator.
I’ve always heard that Shirley Temple didn’t get Dorothy due to failed negotiations with 20th Century Fox.
I like 👍 to see none of the abandoned Disney characters
The classic fairy tales are filled with usable story, moral, character and plot. So therefore Disney will just dredge another property from its past and beat it woke and keep going broke. Your AI combos are intriguing, not what I pictured but true to style.
Minnehaha in the poem has the drawback of being almost entirely a side character. A little kid version in a short cartoon could work, but as a feature film protagonist, I just don’t think she’d be viable.
The princesses in the thumbnail looks like they would definitely be in Disney films
Thank you! I made it! 😊
@@DisneyDudeAndDudetteThey are beautiful
Don’t use AI drawn images. It steals from other artists without permission in order to “learn” how to create “original” art.
Where is the animated Oz footage used here from?
Thank you!
I would like to have seen Odette, I enjoyed the Swan Princess.
💐💐🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐🇹🇼😍🥰🥰🦋❤️💋

The first Dorothy imagining looks like Jena Malone.
I would love Disney to do a animation of Red Riding Hood,
One of favourite stories as a child ❤
Ooooohhh that would be so cool!
I grew up during the 90s and watched Disney blossom with their incredible movies. And I kept waiting for them to tell stories from India, Africa, South America (Emperors New Groove is alright, but I’m talking a more serious movie), etc. and then….. nothing… 😢
*Those all sound so good!*
it wouldve been wierd to have 2 disney characters named Minnie especially with Minnie Mouse being so iconic
All though it would be interesting to see some of these Disney princesses
I think odet looks better the way she is now
No im scared because the goldilocks you made looks exactly like me
NO WAY! That’s so cool!
Goldie looks like Alice and the girl from the black cauldron
Goldie and Bear is really cute I'm glad the others didn't work out
I hear you, they should just go back to good old 2D hand-drawn animation.
