I get motivated and feel like improving in my head while watching this videos but when I start playing I forget majority of this. Yet when I watch my friends play I can see everything and "coach" them. I should improve in trying to identify things while playing myself not just while watching. The way you can use these things is to master one part at a time. Just because I show you how to fly a plane, doesn't mean you can, once I give you control of the plane. Focus on 1 or 2 plays at a time. For example 1 macro play in laning phase and 1 macro play after. The way you learn these things is seeing where this play is possible. The more you learn the basics, the less you have to think about those basics. So you get room in your head to think of other stuff.
Like the other people said, coach your own vods after the fact and then bring in one early macro concept and one later macro play for the next game. Repeat this until you get the hang of a lot of those concepts. A fun psychology thing to know is that the human brain can only actively keep track of about six things (give or take) at one time. So between micro play, checking timers, enemy cool downs, and jungle pathing that's almost all of them right there. That's why it's important to refresh these concepts and be able to bring up these decision points quickly with practice and repetition while also being the reason really good players can get away with playing less mechanically intensive characters and still win games.
i really helped me tons to mute all the chat 10 sec before start i type; got chat muted use pings. and it helps a lot. Also the green light red light tactic is massive
I actually implemented this strategy as a mid laner in a game where my bot and top lost decisively. I didn't give up mid tower for almost 30 minutes. We were able to come back and win.
The only time I am okay with throwing herald top is if I am the toplaner and just killed herald myself, and even then only if mid is such a clownfest that it isnt possible there
There's a separate video here though discussing getting the most value out of your herald with plates and such. And that one would probably lead you to believe top herald is a good call in a lot of cases 😅
That also depends, instead of calling it top and bot tower u should call it dragon and baron tower. If you take top tower it makes it easier to pressure dragon cause its on the opposite side of the map. If you want prio on drake. Get top tower and get a push going then rotate with your team. Same goes for bot tower, u think your team need to end early cause u dont scale and enemy team outscale? Get the bot tower and get botlane prio, get a push going then rotate with your team to baron. Mid tower control those two lanes because its like he said, harder to get prio with it up.
@@SuperMortalix I’d argue that you’d rather have mid T1 down if you want to do drakes then bot T1. People naturally play around midlane, so its more impactful to take that mid tower
i have a new perception of map control now. it should b pretty easy to make decisions by splitting the map into danger zones and acting to reduce those while preserving safe zones. included in these can be everything from towers to players ad waves.
And this is why I love junglers who play around mid. It's sooooo strong. I win a game with eyes closed everytime when I can drop that tower before min 14. With all the plating and obviously being ahead as a Zed otp you need to be far ahead to get that pressure. Then I can clear my wave in 5sec, roam bot/top/invade jungle and make the gap in the other roles happen, wherever their or our wincon is. THIS is why mid is suposed to be a 2v2 lane. When I duo with a jungler, my winrate goes up with 15-30% depending what elo I play in.
Ive won a game where enemy mid and top tier 1 were still up and I split push bottom as trundle to their nexus while a big team fight was happening around baron
4:30 No, that's just wrong. 1. My teammates mid will not join me on pushing. 2. My teammates in river will definitely fight and then lose because I am not there. 3. They will blame me for not following and tilt so they throw the game even harder. So pushing mid in this scenario just isn't an option in low elo, sry.
All y'all low ELO know it all's act like everyone else didn't climb through the same elo. Only reason you're stuck there is because people tell you how to climb and you come with the usual excuse of "my teammates are trash, this will never work" your teammates are supposed to be trash, but so is the enemy team. so trying to play correctly instead of complaining about said correct low ELO play not working in low elo

What matters most there is if you can mechanically outplay the other noobs but they never admit that in any of their videos. Macro calls help shit when you have teammates that operate on a random generator
Oh yeah, I noticed most of the games I lose when I still have my tower up are ffs. I also have most of my games where I lose my tower last when the game is losing and then the game is completely over. I find that I'm able to defend my tower until around 20 mins on average, sometimes longer and the games only are lost when there's a split pusher who's strong like trynd or yorick or something. I also try to create a ton of pressure mid by being aggressive, sometimes I cause too much and get all 5 of the enemy team in my lane to shut me down lol
I'd agree that it's certainly difficult to win without taking mid, but I've seen it. Though if you're dominating enough to take inhibs on both side lanes, you're probably going to stream roll mid. So it's kind of moot
If you take top tower but mid isn't close to falling, it gives very little advantage. May even be counterproductive if it lets your opponent farm much more freely.
you should break top tower only if you have a roaming toplaner like quinn or shen. If your top is winning lane, keeping enemy top tower alive benefits your top since it benefits from laning. If your top is losing lane, destroying top tower won’t help him get out of the laning phase and it still wont help it get out of laning phase. Unless it’s a very vulnerable enemy top and you have a highly mobile jungler to punish him if he over extends. Or if you can solo enemy top without the help of your toplaner (so only if strength order is the following: you > enemy top > your top) last case is if your top can 1v2 jgl+top since it will be able to pressure in enemy topside jgl, but in that case dropping herald top wont really help it since it could already solo dive enemy top and take tower without you. Very last valid case is if you herald top t1 into dive kill enemy top into herald charge top t2 and break t2. In this case, if losing, your losing top gets so much resources it now wins 1v1. And if winning, your winning top gets so much resources it now can 1v2. Dont try that if enemy jgl isnt bot.
at 4:20 ur just wrong lol. if u push mid and they hardwin the river fight they will just walk up mid from river and have 2 people recall so they can push u and force a fight.
I know it's bullshit but in my dirt elo games I've actually started taking demolish on yone. The amount of times I use my e to run in and proc demolish is honestly priceless and even though it's such a cheesy strategy it just works idk what can I say.
In a lot of my games bot will lose there bot turret and then rotate to mid for safety under turret. Then I usually split bot so we do not miss exp and then mid turret falls because I am splitting. Should I let the turret fall or stay mid and miss out on exp and gold?
Im silver 1 and I would stay in my lane and try to set up a freeze near my tier 2 What I notice is once tier 1 is gone my opponent will do absolutely everything to stay aggro including completely abandoning bot lane I would say stay in your lane and continue growing, gank me if enemy bot tries to go for tier 2 and I'll be near for drake objectives while avoiding the inevitable ARAM But again I am only Silver 1 so I could be wrong
i tried this once a while back. i spent the entire game making sure they couldnt touch tower on anivia. at the end of the game the tower was up and we had lost, and the entire enemy team, completely unprompted, started flaming me for putting too much value on that tower lol
I often hear from master+ elo top laners like the baus and tf blade that bot and top lane towers/inhibs gets your team more value because you can put pressure on the other side of the map. Its one of the reasons you dont see solo laners just aram mid, they instead sit in a side lane creating pressure. Same idea apply to towers in bot and top, dont you think?
Yeah I get what you're saying when I play bot I try to rotate to mid or top after to give my top laner space to split a lane of their choice instead of sitting bot lane not helping my team the rest of the game
Definitely! I have found when you get that pressure top and bottom it allows your team to roam or take objectives like drag or baron. However if you were to take that t1 mid and than focus heavily of a bot or top tower it would be a lot easier I would think. Easier to roam as a jgler

But when it splitpushes, it forces someone to match it, so you can 5v4 on the other side of the map. And taking top or bot t1 doesn’t give you an extra splitpusher. but taking mid t1 allows your team to push further mid without overextending and dying.
I have won a game against an enemy team that had mid tier one up. Shen Toplane. The enemy contested soul point and I Ulted into drag pit and we aced them. However I hard already taken top tier one and tier two. And had just taken tier inhib tower toplane to start the fight off. Teleported back to toplane after 3 waves had taken inhib. protecting the cannon minion from the nexus tower. Forcing a nexus turret take. And repeated the process in botlane. I like splitpush Shen in this way. Because he doesn't push waves too fast so that 3 stacking on towers is impossible. Mid tower never fell. But with two super minion waves in both bot and top, in addition to no nexus turrets after the 2nd super minion wave came in. There wasn't much the enemy team could contest.
This is hard in solo queue. I remember a really bad game. I ended up in 1/10/6 and we ff. I gave 2 kills to mid, I gave him a herald we took T1. But it was a sh1tshow. The first mistake was, there was a fight for scuttle in the river when its spawned, enemy top and mid reacted bcuz their jgl was losing the duel. But my top mundo and mid veigar was just farming blindly. So I died in a 3v1, I went than top I pinged mundo and went for their top, he just turned around when I was dueling with his enemy, I couldnt get away.. So I was there 0/2 around 7 min. I was geting mad, and mundo started the typical team builder monologe: "JGL diff", I was seeing red in anger so I started to geting all over the place making mistakes. I went for a mid gank, pinged and catched Ahri. My mid Veigar man decided this is a good time to stack Q on minions. So I went away, long story short I went back 2 times and we killed ahri twice. Btw we couldnt get a single dragon bcuz our jinx only used her rockets. Literally... So I went for herald. Got to mid got the tower. But bcuz everyone was a numbnut in my team enemy kha was 7/0 by that time with 2 items. Came to my jgl and 2 shoted me, anytime he wanted. No one used wards btw, only me tried to put down some. Than the Veigar startad /all JENGAL diff. I tilted so hard, I started to argue with them. Even the enemy mid and top started to argue with mundo bcuz he was flaming them too. So long story short even if I blame myself to let my team tilt me, I gave such a lead to Veigar and still he fcked it up so hard. Mr jengal diff had 11k dmg at the end(it was a 28 min long game). Where me as voli tank jgl had 30k. So yeah thats just a story how we lost even if we had a T1 tower.
sometimes videos here contradict each other? One time It says that when you have an advantage and you go top or bot you force at least 2 enemies to come to you which should enable the mid push but here It says not to do it? Because It is dangerous?
no lol advice can contradict each other. It s your own responsibility to recognize the patterns and learn when one advice actually applies. They give you the tool of decision making. You are in charge of using them correctly to build a proper decision. When a guide gives you a decision making advice (like "take all t2 before aiming for t3" or "go mid once a bot tower is gone"), to seriously learn it, you should hard focus on applying it for 5 to 10 game. Once you can applying without thinking, you can consider deriving from the standard strategy if it serves a different purpose.
Nobody understand the concept of mid prio or pushing out waves before objectives except me on my teams which causes me to lose games because stupid team bumrush everything and fights without their adc.
If you are a mechanical superior Player, and know you can outperform your Elo... it sometimes is just better to stick with your m8s. Even if they do bullshit, do the bullshit together. I remember a game with a Toplaner never in Teamfight. So i just called the team to stick with the toplaner, so we are at least as 5, and it worked XD

No, league is not complicated, dota is. Its just most of us are below average or cant do all the tasks at once like I had yesterday when I was playing jg and had 0/10 kata in 12 minutes XD and had 3 loosing lanes so I had to do solo obj and gank them while being flamed for them loosing to their laners....

This might be one of the worst you've made. "Because Twitch didn't have a tower, he had to take a different route." No he didn't. As for your explanation of enemy teams in low ELO choosing to ignore waves and go to fights? No. No they don't. They will fight for minion wave control and often times split up. If you move to the fight, they will match you. And if you move to stay, they will still match you. Because they want to fight the person they see on their screen. The problem with low elo isn't the lack of knowledge (outside of matchup knowledge for their teammate's roles) it's that every person on both teams want to coinflip every decision, all the time. Everybody always thinks that they should win the flip. I think the people you keep pulling clips from for "low elo" are in a medium/medium high level Smurf queue.
Skillcapped, I watch your videos daily and I find this video to be one of the least helpful videos out there. No offense, I just cannot believe that tier 1 tower being up is such a game changing factor. When you have champions like Yorick or Tryn who may potentially stomp their lane and split push for the rest, it (to me) makes no sense if the mid tower is up or down if they're split pushing all game. I'm sorry skill capped, but I don't think this video was for me today. I cannot wait for tommorow's episode, and hope that it is very informative.
hi I m d1 (top) and despite being bad at the game, I can at least tell you that mid priority is the #1 focus before rotating to an objective. And mid t1 gives crazy good safety to catch mid wave as soon as possible. And if you are a toplaner playing only hardcore splitpush champion, let me tell you that you are wrong to pretend you can’t learn anything from this guide. This guide features 2 tips: - take mid t1 - defend mid t1 If dragon is about to spawn and you are top pushing to t2 or t3 but someone you can’t dive come defend, it is a very common play to go split mid to for enemy team to give up drake and rotate on you. Taking t1 mid is excellent here. You should look for splitpush mid whenever enemy team is overwhelmed elsewhere on the map. As a toplaner, you can also consider getting top prio into setting up a dive mid to then take mid tower. Very common strategy. On top of that, you are also likely to solo herald at some point in the game. Consider dropping it mid. And about defending mid, this is also critical knowledge. If your mid leaves mid for some reason and you have top prio, you are in charge to rotate mid to catch the wave that will crash onto tower and set your mid t1 exposed. There is no knowledge that doesn’t improve your decision making, only you deciding not to change your point of view.
What I hate most are jglers that break my freeze, destroy the tower, use rift on my lane, or feed the laner I'm against. Literally makes the game feel 10 times harder then it needs to be
i also threaten them about rift, but when they just feed I have learned to accept it, it doesn’t affect me anymore. A bit like when enemy laner gamble roam and gets double. Sometimes gold rains on someone for no reason. nb: I m playing scaling toplaners so I think it help. It only delays the times I can start playing the games.

The first mistake was, there was a fight for scuttle in the river when its spawned, enemy top and mid reacted bcuz their jgl was losing the duel. But my top mundo and mid veigar was just farming blindly. So I died in a 3v1, I went than top I pinged mundo and went for their top, he just turned around when I was dueling with his enemy, I couldnt get away.. So I was there 0/2 around 7 min. I was geting mad, and mundo started the typical team builder monologe: "JGL diff", I was seeing red in anger so I started to geting all over the place making mistakes. I went for a mid gank, pinged and catched Ahri. My mid Veigar man decided this is a good time to stack Q on minions. So I went away, long story short I went back 2 times and we killed ahri twice. Btw we couldnt get a single dragon bcuz our jinx only used her rockets. Literally... So I went for herald. Got to mid got the tower. But bcuz everyone was a numbnut in my team enemy kha was 7/0 by that time with 2 items. Came to my jgl and 2 shoted me, anytime he wanted. No one used wards btw, only me tried to put down some. Than the Veigar startad /all JENGAL diff. I tilted so hard, I started to argue with them. Even the enemy mid and top started to argue with mundo bcuz he was flaming them too. So long story short even if I blame myself to let my team tilt me, I gave such a lead to Veigar and still he fcked it up so hard. Mr jengal diff had 11k dmg at the end(it was a 28 min long game). Where me as voli tank jgl had 30k. So yeah thats just a story how we lost even if we had a T1 tower.
Surely my team wont know this, and just blame me for pushing mid instead of joining fight

It s your own responsibility to recognize the patterns and learn when one advice actually applies.
They give you the tool of decision making. You are in charge of using them correctly to build a proper decision.
When a guide gives you a decision making advice (like "take all t2 before aiming for t3" or "go mid once a bot tower is gone"), to seriously learn it, you should hard focus on applying it for 5 to 10 game. Once you can applying without thinking, you can consider deriving from the standard strategy if it serves a different purpose.

If your winning elivate the game take mid tower, do all of the things you normally would and end laning phase take your lead and make the jg start to feel it tax the hell out of it

As for your explanation of enemy teams in low ELO choosing to ignore waves and go to fights? No. No they don't. They will fight for minion wave control and often times split up. If you move to the fight, they will match you. And if you move to stay, they will still match you. Because they want to fight the person they see on their screen. The problem with low elo isn't the lack of knowledge (outside of matchup knowledge for their teammate's roles) it's that every person on both teams want to coinflip every decision, all the time. Everybody always thinks that they should win the flip. I think the people you keep pulling clips from for "low elo" are in a medium/medium high level Smurf queue.
So always crush that herald mid I guess!
Skillcapped, I watch your videos daily and I find this video to be one of the least helpful videos out there. No offense, I just cannot believe that tier 1 tower being up is such a game changing factor. When you have champions like Yorick or Tryn who may potentially stomp their lane and split push for the rest, it (to me) makes no sense if the mid tower is up or down if they're split pushing all game. I'm sorry skill capped, but I don't think this video was for me today. I cannot wait for tommorow's episode, and hope that it is very informative.
hi I m d1 (top) and despite being bad at the game, I can at least tell you that mid priority is the #1 focus before rotating to an objective. And mid t1 gives crazy good safety to catch mid wave as soon as possible.
And if you are a toplaner playing only hardcore splitpush champion, let me tell you that you are wrong to pretend you can’t learn anything from this guide.
This guide features 2 tips:
- take mid t1
- defend mid t1
If dragon is about to spawn and you are top pushing to t2 or t3 but someone you can’t dive come defend, it is a very common play to go split mid to for enemy team to give up drake and rotate on you. Taking t1 mid is excellent here. You should look for splitpush mid whenever enemy team is overwhelmed elsewhere on the map.
As a toplaner, you can also consider getting top prio into setting up a dive mid to then take mid tower. Very common strategy.
On top of that, you are also likely to solo herald at some point in the game. Consider dropping it mid.
And about defending mid, this is also critical knowledge. If your mid leaves mid for some reason and you have top prio, you are in charge to rotate mid to catch the wave that will crash onto tower and set your mid t1 exposed.
There is no knowledge that doesn’t improve your decision making, only you deciding not to change your point of view.

i also threaten them about rift, but when they just feed I have learned to accept it, it doesn’t affect me anymore. A bit like when enemy laner gamble roam and gets double. Sometimes gold rains on someone for no reason.
nb: I m playing scaling toplaners so I think it help. It only delays the times I can start playing the games.
