Wouldn't you want the in side to be hooked to the PCV valve? Oil from your valve cover is going to come out the PCV then into the can, then out to the intake?
Have you reversed the hoses on the catch can, I’m about to install the catch can on my 2017 Frontier and I want to make sure I install them right ? I noticed a couple comments on here saying they were installed wrong in this video. Please let me know.
How much oil do you actually get in your catch can? I ask, because we're talking about vapors. With a long hose run, it'll condense inside the hose. Depending on which end is lower will determine the flow.
Well Ive had this catch can installed on my Nissan for about a year. I empty it about 2x between oil changes. It really works. The can is about 1/4 to half full of this brown liquid sludge. Certainly wouldn’t want that recirculating back into my engine.
I recently bought a oil catch can for my 2022 frontier and I was looking online and another video that shows that the in goes to the PVC valve and the our goes to the intake ? Which is the correct way?
You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks :)
Try pvc is in to the can, out run back to intake, I've seen this mounting place before I don't like it, I'm go on other side an drop it down a foot, ggz
I was wondering, do you think if I install a oil catch can on my 2022 Frontier that it will void my warranty? I guess I can remove it if I’m going to the dealer for a oil change
I thought a catch can was only necessary for a turbo intercooler engine? A naturally aspirated petrol engine will simply burn off all oil vapour. Catch can prevents the oil vapour in intake from condensing in intercooler and causing problems there
I think catch can works best on a direct port injected valve, with the frontier engine set up,it doesn’t seem you need it at all, most stuff you get in the can is from condensation,a mix of a little oil and water, but the fuel will burn most of it with this type of engine..
I thought about installing my catch can in the same place but unfortunately there’s no clearance under the can to unscrew it. You have to remove the can from the mounting bracket. I decided to mount it on the drivers side fender. There’s already a threaded hole there. Just need to make a bracket and an M6x1.0x25mm bolt. Can unscrews nicely.
My install was beside the master cylinder n the inside of the fender. There’s already a threaded hole. Use an M6x1.0 bolt about 1/2 inch or so will do.
Great job. This is another part I've been putting off installing just because I'm lazy. Make sure to share updates in the group on how well this specific catch can works for you

Yes that’s the right way I have to edit the video
Exactly right. Between where the pcv valve is and where that plumbs back into the intake.
Agreed. "In" on Can is from PCV. "Out" from can goes back to Intake.

Installed wrong, it’s out of catchcan to intake. In from pcv to catchcan.

So much incorrect information for a very simple installation. “In” on catch can means in from PCV and “Out” goes to the Intake.
I’m looking forward to your video to learn from it, thanks for watching

@Jairo Gerald definitely, been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :)

Did you put anti seize on the threaded areas? I was curious since aluminum has a tendency to gal.

I bought the same kit. Mine has 4 rubber o-rings. What are they for
I've had 3 Nissan trucks, I've never done this at all, could someone tell me how it helps you out please.
Thank you.
it doesn't help anything.. this is his fix for a problem that does not exist.

Installed on 3 months ago. Amazing how much oil it catches.
I need one. Where did you get this kit from?
Awesome video as usual !!!!
Thanks for your support !!

is the video updated?

Can you send me a pic when you are done installing it, thanks jgoni20@gmail.com
Nissan Frontier Mods sent you an email with pics

Mate you have it the wrong way around In to PCV and out to intake

Thank you.. I have nissan frontier 16

I’ll make a video on my next oil change, thanks for your support.... let’s keep modding!!!!
Guy needs to update the video. That's the wrong hose orientation.
Just get to it.
Thank you
Installed wrong, it’s out of catchcan to intake. In from pcv to catchcan.
I have more MOD I done???
There is no way you used about 6 feet for one route of tubing, maybe 6 feet total 3ft for each in and out?
Anyone with a frontier with thr new 3.8 engine smell gas in thier oil?
Great video.

Removing the outlet from the back of the engine is a nightmare !
