    I have had problems with O'Reilly giving me the wrong parts, almost every other part I buy. So I measure EVERYTHING!! The Tacoma has 3 different starters also!! Make sure to ALWAYS ALWAYS bring your parts with you if you can,that's the only way I will buy parts from them!

    I've had similar issues with parts stores. Not only do they not know the parts... some of the chineseium replacement units don't fit even if it is the "equivalent part". Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for releasing this video. I just ordered new radiator a few days ago for 96 Tacoma that has 262k miles. Helpful to know about tools to use and hope I got the right size.

    Perfect timing for this video. I was just given a 1995 tacoma with the original radiator. Still in good shape but I’m gonna change it out in the next 20k miles or so just incase.

    Think the method of measuring is the same for all radiators ? Ive just changed a rad on a friends 2011 VW Golf and there were a few sizes online, but it was the manual or automatic that was the issue !!

    You would think the parts store computer would have a note telling the employee that there are several size radiators which fit that year & model vehicle. so be sure to select the correct one. Maybe they do.

    Petr, I am sure you will get this genuine, made-in-USA Tacoma ready for the road. I wish the owner another 270,000 happy miles of shifting their manual Tacoma through the gears. 😁

    I thought that this generation Taco used Toyota LLC (RED) coolant, and not the SLLC (PINK) coolant. Would you confirm and comment?

    just replaced my wifes radiator on her 1994 3.0v6 . What pressure cap should be good. I put in a 3 core replacement it came with a 19lb large cap.. and it fits fine..vehicle has 211,000 miles. I think 19lb cap with such a high mileage is bad? Maybe 13-16??

    • @Esteban_Herrera
      @Esteban_Herrera ปีที่แล้ว

      I would use the stock pressure range. All the pressure does is raises the boiling point of water. The dude who designed the engine's cooling system knew what he was doing. Sometimes adding extra rows to a core means the rows have smaller tubes and the core's thickness remains the same. A thicker core may cause higher resistance in the air flow. The fans will cycle or off keeping the radiator at a set temperature. It's the thermostat that controls the engine's temperature.

    Great video!! Question: My tacoma 2001 3.4 it's blowing hot air all the time once it reaches operation temp just hot air unless I turn on the AC and even with the AC sometimes
    Can you or somebody here help me please.

    • @Esteban_Herrera
      @Esteban_Herrera ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a servo on the air box isn't operating. Find all the servos on the air box. Look at each one while going through the modes like heat, AC, vent... The servos should operate respectively. If you see one not moving it's fried. Check with the engine warm.

    It's an automatic transmission Oil cooler, no antifreeze flows through it unless it's defective

    The old radiator seems pretty dirty - dust not dirt. I wonder how it got so dusty.

    The first time i saw the trailer, she puts her arm in front of her face then hits the bracelet with the long big hammer, but i find it weird because wouldn't it be easier to rest the hammer on the ground since the handle is long enough, then hit the hammer with the bracelet thing instead? It didn't look natural. The hammer has a long handle that can just rest on the ground and then just hit it with the bracelet thingy.

    Peter! Would you believe that my Tacoma's P0171 and P2195 codes were caused by an intermittently stuck open, AND partially restricted PCV valve! New OEM valve installed and now the single digit, long and short term fuel trims, are cancelling each other out, for a nice zero average!
