Really appreciate this review, its been difficult to find any solid info on this product since its launch. After watching I think I'll give it a miss as my potential first tube amp, your "not tubey enough" description was the clincher (and that blue LED is awful).
What’s the big beefy looking orange cable adapter hanging out the front of it at around 11:36? Is it a jack to xlr adapter? And if so who makes that one please?
what is the most affordable tube distortion device you can recommend for those who already use a dac and iem ( bur still offer noticeable tube sound distortion) ? thanks
The Fosi Audio P2 is the best low-cost amplifier available today. It doesn't handle heavy (250-300 ohm) headphones very well, otherwise it's a great device.
Monoprice. They make very good cables that are quite affordable. Don’t waste money on cables that cost more than Monoprice unless they have something particularly useful. Of course, if you want something more aesthetically pleasing, the price goes up but not the functional quality.
Nope, I don’t think so either. But without measurements of some kind I don’t know what it’s putting out. I think if you’re on a budget, this will do for the Argon.
Love your reviews
I'm such a newb with tubes, when you ripped it out at 3:52 I was terrified...
Lol. Tubes are pretty robust.

I swapped the stock tubes with Mullard CV4100 and the performance is amazing !!
Glad you straightened up those valves when they sat squint.

Good afternoon from Toronto ☕️
I’m still rocking the Xduoo 604 😎
Nice little amp/DAC and a decent

what tubes would you swap into this unit if one wants to upgrade the the tubes?
I would be curious how it would match up with FiiO K5, since they are in the same price category
They really need to hire a better translator for their marketing info.

Little Bear will probably do it. But if you want something better, get an iFi iTube. You might find one on AliExpress

Hey man, what high quality but reasonbly priced cables do you recommend?

the 1.3W spec is for 32 ohm so for the argon the math do not add up , it's not going to get to 1W with a 50 ohm load
