Cool review. This product would not fit my needs though. Thanks for your thoughts regardless. Other looking at this price range might also consider the Schiit Vali 3 tube amp (if you already have a DAC, obviously).
How do you think this would do with Hifiman Edition XS, I haven't gotten them yet but I would like a tube amp. Not sure how this one would work with it.
Yes, it would be a solid choice. If you already have a DAC, I'd get the Apos Gremlin instead, but if you need a DAC and amp, the MH-02 is a nice choice.
I've actually just finished the K11 R2R review including that exact comparison. It's going live to channel members today and will be released in early December. How urgently are you planning to purchase?
If I had the means to experiment I would buy both and stack them, for $300 total. The MH-02 has analog input, so I would use the K11 R2R as the DAC and the MH-02 as the Amp. If it worked I would add liner/low noise power supplies for both.
I have a pixel device and an apple type c earpods ( wired ) and apple music subscription. Is it enough to experience hires audio or am i need for any DAC ?
I know I've mentioned this before but, boy, the new Schitt Vali3 headamp crushes everything in it's path for $149....or even up to $400. Of course it doesn't have a DAC built in. Get you hands on the Schitt Vali 3, then get a WE396A tube. You will be shocked.
Good morning Lachlan! Hello from Vancouver Canada. Thank you for another great show.
Hello! You're welcome and I'm glad you liked it.
I really like your presentations, thanks Lachlan.
I'm so glad you like them! 🙂🙂
Thanks for another great review! :)
Always a pleasure
You have a great sense of humor .

I can almost guarantee that if you upgrade the included psu to a linear based one the noise will disappear.
Perhaps. I haven't tried that...
I bought it !! 😊
Nice!

Great review. Does this amp have the same channel imbalance issues as the other Xduoo amps you previously reviewed.
Do you mean at the lower range of the volume pot? I actually didn't notice because it's not really good for IEMs anyway. Sorry.
@@PassionforSoundwhat you suggest for iem?
I've got recommendations in the descriptions of all my recent videos because I can't remember them all.
Would you recommend this over the topping dx3 pro +? I know this is a tube amp and the other one isn’t. Great work as always.
I haven't tried the DX3 Pro+. Sorry
is it better then the fosi dac
It's very different because of the tubes and headphone output. I haven't compared them yet and may not.
Any feedback vs Fiio K11 R2R? Set my sight on these two.

will it be okay for planar magnetic headphones ?
Absolutely
thanks! @@PassionforSound
How will it pair with hd560s? Will it cause hissing?
No, none at all. You can even use the MH-02 with IEMs at a pinch.

You can definitely get even better sound with a DAC, amp and a set of wired earphones or headphones

That’s great and all if you live in the USA. The rest of the world pays out the arse in taxes and shipping that makes Schiit not worth it.
@@MrKeech666 forgot about that. Bummer.
I mostly use my speakers. Would it be s good match with kef q350?
I don't know the Q350, but it will work quite well as a DAC and preamp in any setup, I think.
@@PassionforSound Thank you 🙏🏻
The sounds, this or mt604?...tq sir..Peace!
As a pure amp, I like the 604 a little more - it's such a fun amp
