Was using a crossbow with ruby bolts (e), which has a 6% chance (6.6% if you complete hard Kandarin diary) to activate and deal 20% of opponent's current Hitpoints with a cap of 100 damage (at the cost of 10% of my current Hitpoints) This opponent has 600 Hitpoints so 20% of that was 120, therefore the cap of 100 damage kicked in. As you can see in my inventory, I have also brought diamond bolts (e) in my inventory, which has a 10% chance (or 11% after hard Kandarin diary) to increase max hit by 15% as well as make it become a successful / accurate hit. I would switch to diamond bolts (e) 1. to attack shadow rifts with 20 Hitpoints and 2. after the boss has dropped to a low amount Hitpoints that dealing 20% damage to its current Hitpoints became insignificant Best of luck with this boss! I was stuck behind him for weeks so don't give up! (But also don't hesitate to give up for now and go off to train your stats and/or upgrade your equipment before coming back again haha)
How did you manage a 100 damage first hit?
