When fighting Sara, you can completely negate the special attack if you hide behind rocks/trees etc. The attack will hit you for 0 and not pull you towards him because of the obstacle in front of you. its one of the easier fights if you get lucky with the spawn!! Great job on the guide!
Indeed, I had the same spawn as in the video and just pulled sara a bit more backwards so I could stand behind a few rocks in the area. Only the spiders were a little bit annoying but that's about it. Great comment.
Just a... friendly reminder to anyone doing this quest: You CAN and WILL spawn more than one boss if you spam-click the talisman thing dialogue or die/leave the zone and attempt to spawn it again (before the former despawns). Considering most - if not all - of their spawn zones are in fact Multicombat, expect to be wrecked by duplicates. Learned it the hardest way. Damned Zachariah had another Zachariah play ping pong with him. I was the fucking ball.
This is by far one of the best guides I've ever seen for old-school. Had gear & inventory in the beginning, everything well explained, reminders to bring appropriate staff/cape/spell. Thank you!!
A few pieces of advice for anyone doing this now: You can triangulate the position of the spawns. Head to the gate that takes you from MA to rest of wildy. Stand a decent way to the left against the south wall, activate symbol. Run to spawn point east of gate (5:49), activate again. If it says hotter than last time, boss is spawned in one of the eastern spawn points. If its colder, western spawn points. Run south, then go either east or west based on whether it was hotter or colder, respectively, to the next spawn location. Activate again. If hotter, the spawn location is in a southern spawn point. If colder, the boss is in a northern spawn point. This way you will only take damage 3-5x to find the exact spawn the boss is at. As others have said, you can dodge ice barrage. Move when you see the animation and it will not hit you. Turn off auto retaliate to avoid running up to the bosses. If left on, sara and zammy fights will be difficult. You don't need sanfew serums whatsoever for this process and rings of recoil do not help you. Do not bring these items. The bosses can hit fairly often and fairly hard. As such, I recommend bringing double or triple eats (manta+karambwan or manta+angler+sara brew) so that you get more up time in the fight (especially important for pures). These are 3 pretty easy fights if you follow these tips. You can also hide from the Saradomin attack by using obstacles, but not necessary if you already dodge ice barrage. Everything else you need is in the video. With this advice you should be safe with half an inventory of food left over after each kill at ~70-80 def/hp/mage.
A most deserving subscription! I attempted to do this on my own but the Justicar was seemingly impossible (he was the first one that I found). We had a time limit draw (he despawned and shuffled) so I looked up guides. Hands down, the best one. I got my cape and you got my gratitude 🤟

Easy fights if have protect from magic and dragonhide gear for magic defence you watch the animations and move (RUN) from them sideways, and use the charge orb godspell with wearing cape for +50% damage. Thanks for this guide it helped. Was able to find the gods on the same spots both times, to imbue all capes.
OMG, I tried to do mage arena 2 a couple of weeks ago and failed really badly. started with saradomin (since he was the hardest) and failed miserably (i got the same place as you). Tried it again today at around 12am and all the spots I got where all next to each other next to the resource area. made it very easy and quick to kill all three. Finally did thanks to your guide. Aces.
Watching your video motivated me to complete the mini quest after being pk'ed so many times before. Luckily not a single one, and all three monsters were in the same general area.

I just came back to the game after about 5 years away and I am immensely pleased they added in more to do with the god spells! I helped a friend (as he had membership while I could never afford it) get the god spells but aside from that he never used them and I rarely got to play on his account. Coming back to the game as an adult with an income, im gonna make damn good on all my teenage dreams of being the ultimate Zamorak Mage and this guide will only make my goal easier Heheheh 😈
@colonello you can dodge justiciars spec attack that pulls you into melee range as well as the barrages from all 3 bosses by moving tiles ( not in a straight line though). I just did it on 2 accounts today and found that they are both straight line projectiles, so if you take a step to the right or left or diagonal you can juke both the justiciar special and the barrages from all 3. Hope that helps someone!
I'll add that if you take the like 30 minutes to do it, the easy wilderness diary sword is guaranteed to break webs every time. It can save you some potential headaches.
Got the imbued zammy cape from your guide ty. Helped having max combat but still so annoying having to get damaged when searching for the bosses. Bring as close to no risk as possible, sweaty pkers camp the mage arena lever
Great guide bro! Got my imbued sara cape today. Surprisingly the sara boss was pretty easy for me. I fudged up with guthix boss and he healed completely from half hp and the first time i went for zamorak boss fucking callisto pjed me... But no worries i made it thanks alot.
It's important to note that for the God spells you can equip a Staff of the Dead for Zamorak, Void Knight Mace for Claws of Guthix, and a Staff of Light for Saradomin to auto cast the spells.

Kenshin na not always. I was able to agro justicar and run East a bit to where chaos ele couldn’t see me. If u accidentally agro him just run around the gate, hop worlds and try again.
for people having trouble locating the bosses, her is how i do it: first try of the orb go stand somewhat in the middle. i stand just south outside of the gate between those two green spots. then use the orb for the first time. after that i want to know if its to the east or west so i step one tile to the east and activate the orb. (look at chat) if its warmer its to the east. if its colder its to the west. then idem for north of south. the boss spawns somewhere near the spot when its incredibly hot.
A little tip if you're worried about pkrs: I did this early in the morning when all the pkrs were asleep (~5:00 -5 GMT) and stayed in a pvp world while in the wildy. I never saw another person even once.
Some other stuff: - Obviously turn off player attack and skull trick protection. - YOU CANNOT BANK THE DROPS! YOU MUST TURN THEM INTO KOLODION OR YOU WILL LOSE THEM ON DEATH! - Bring antipoison for spiders - Bring a wildy sword to get back in or out of the bank real easy (always cuts) - If you're 80 mage there's a spell called Charge that increases the god spell max hit to 30 (up from 20.) you can boost at 76 magic with a magic potion normally or 75 magic with a super magic potion in NMZ, sip it and quit instantly and use Charge, it lasts for 7 minutes. - You can use staff of the dead (zammy), void knight mace/staff of balance (guthix), or staff of light (saradomin) to autocast the spells and get some magic atk/str bonus. - For the justiciar, you can sit behind cover and he won't drag you. For example the lava vents found all over the wildy let you sit behind them to avoid his suction. Have fun and get these sick capes. Btw sara cape is the best looking no cap
tip: use staff of the dead to auto cast the spells (no need to get all 3 staves at that point. also if 80+ magic use "charge" to increase your max hit with the spells.
On the Saradomin boss just run from right to left while attacking to avoid the spec attacks. Btw sara was my last boss n I got pked instantly after picking the item up. Then the second time I got pked at the webs to the entrance where Kolodian is. Fml...Still tanked him tho
Got pked while fighting Zacaraih in the spider zone, he had 30hp left smh! I guess 90k loot is worth it? Had to come back in robes for the kill since I only had 1 set of regular black dhide... Barely survived haha w/ spiders, needed to brew and restore a couple of times. This guide was super helpful, especially the hot spot map!! Now I have the mage cape (i) :)

Great guide! I've been wanting to do this and tried yesterday, and found all the guides were way too outdated. One tip - before the fight, if you have lvl 80 mage, cast "Charge" as it'll help you a lot. Cast it again as soon as you can before the monster dies, if you're able to.
wow I did it, only got pk'd 3 times. Once being when i had the remains... before I even started this I always thought "well fuck me I'll probably never get that done" lol. This guide helped a lot, especially separating the two parts of "find the guy" and "kill the guy". P.S. I think the bosses move every 45 min so you have "plenty" of time, but don't drag your feet since you don't know how far along you are into the 45 min cycle.
i didn't end up running into any pkers so this ended up being much less stressful than i anticipated. completed at 67 cb, i definitely don't feel like i could've done it without overheads though. guthix was my last one to get and it switched spawns as soon as i got warm :')
Died at the Zamorak boss. Retrieved my items and returned safely back to the Mage Arena's safe zone. Tried finding him again. Almost got hunted down by PKers until I got back to safe zone. . . . . Screw the wilderness and this miniquest. I'll do it another time when I become stronger.
@@Bilbus7 - I have gotten stronger since then (since I'm training for Dragon Slayer II as Vorkath wrecked me 5 times before I lost membership) but I haven't retried Mage Arena II yet, mostly because I'm focused on completing Dragon Slayer II but my membership ended and while my membership ended, I'm spending some time in f2p combat training (melee training on SoS Giant Spiders and ranged training on Ogresses to profit off of them). I'm almost done (Almost 101 combat level and SoS Giant Spiders will stop becoming aggressive then, 81 HP soon to be 82, 80 ATK, 80 STR, 79 DEF soon to be 80, 75 RNG, 70 PRY, 83 MGC) and will go back into p2p soon but I'm prioritizing Dragon Slayer II. Don't know when I'll retry Mage Arena II soon because other than Dragon Slayer II, I also have Monkey Madness II to do and Song of the Elves and the very new The Freminnik Exiles came out. I'm prioritizing my remaining main quests first, then finish Mage Arena II since it's my last mini-quest. Or I might do Mage Arena II after doing a few main quests.
@@ThunderDragonRandy mage arena 2 isnt that hard at all. just log when u see a white dot on ur mini map and dont bring anything too valuable. the most annoying part for me was when sara spawned next to chaos elemental. i had to wait it out and it became very frustrating

You can also just walk to the side so it completely misses you. Cast from max range so its very easy.

If you quickly pray melee when you get teleported to the Sara one, you can negate a lot, if not all of the damage.

total level 1500 or 1750 worlds are also pretty quiet middle of the night

i may have missed it but you forgot to mention you can dodge the ice barrage by walking away from ur current tile so the sara one wont combo you out

Great guide! I've been wanting to do this and tried yesterday, and found all the guides were way too outdated. One tip - before the fight, if you have lvl 80 mage, cast "Charge" as it'll help you a lot. Cast it again as soon as you can before the monster dies, if you're able to.

wow I did it, only got pk'd 3 times. Once being when i had the remains... before I even started this I always thought "well fuck me I'll probably never get that done" lol. This guide helped a lot, especially separating the two parts of "find the guy" and "kill the guy".
P.S. I think the bosses move every 45 min so you have "plenty" of time, but don't drag your feet since you don't know how far along you are into the 45 min cycle.

i didn't end up running into any pkers so this ended up being much less stressful than i anticipated. completed at 67 cb, i definitely don't feel like i could've done it without overheads though. guthix was my last one to get and it switched spawns as soon as i got warm :')

Died at the Zamorak boss. Retrieved my items and returned safely back to the Mage Arena's safe zone. Tried finding him again. Almost got hunted down by PKers until I got back to safe zone.

@@Bilbus7 - I have gotten stronger since then (since I'm training for Dragon Slayer II as Vorkath wrecked me 5 times before I lost membership) but I haven't retried Mage Arena II yet, mostly because I'm focused on completing Dragon Slayer II but my membership ended and while my membership ended, I'm spending some time in f2p combat training (melee training on SoS Giant Spiders and ranged training on Ogresses to profit off of them). I'm almost done (Almost 101 combat level and SoS Giant Spiders will stop becoming aggressive then, 81 HP soon to be 82, 80 ATK, 80 STR, 79 DEF soon to be 80, 75 RNG, 70 PRY, 83 MGC) and will go back into p2p soon but I'm prioritizing Dragon Slayer II. Don't know when I'll retry Mage Arena II soon because other than Dragon Slayer II, I also have Monkey Madness II to do and Song of the Elves and the very new The Freminnik Exiles came out.
I'm prioritizing my remaining main quests first, then finish Mage Arena II since it's my last mini-quest. Or I might do Mage Arena II after doing a few main quests.
@@ThunderDragonRandy mage arena 2 isnt that hard at all. just log when u see a white dot on ur mini map and dont bring anything too valuable. the most annoying part for me was when sara spawned next to chaos elemental. i had to wait it out and it became very frustrating
@@earthwormjim420 - I finished the miniquest some time ago as well as all Hard Wilderness Diaries. Even after doing all of that, the Wilderness still feels so intense to be in or stay in.

It's cool that you can dodge the ice barrages just like the shockwave.
The Saradomin boss nearly killed me, even in an easy area. He did the whole ice barrage pull forward combo you mentioned.
