Wiki suggested to ignore the shadow at the Champion boss and just "out heal" the 45...and doesn't even mention hitting the scarabs, and stay Rapid shooting instead of long range. One of the only guide I’ve seen that actually explains how the second boss’s shadow attack works. 90% of guides and the wiki say that you have to kill the shadow fast to avoid damage, which is a RUTHLESS DPS check, and just isn’t true. Like you showed, is you’re not in melee range, the big shadow attack doesn’t hit, and you can just tank or pray it’s ranged/magic.
This is legitimately one of the few times a tutorial helped me automatically win a boss fight after watching. Focusing on only the Menaphite Akh instead of both the Menaphite Akh and the shadow makes it 100 times easier. Thanks alot!

The 2nd boss tips helped me out, but I couldn't afford Bandos so I continued to wear the Karil's top/bottom because the mage part of the shadow was super distracting making me eat so often, so I kept wearing the robe set cause it had good ranged and magic def

Thanks just cleared on my 82 combat ironman. Did the first fight with red d'hide, rcb and mithril bolts no staminas on the first try but it was close. The Menaphite Akh took two tries. Did it in rune platelegs, fighter torso, nezi, power ammy and dscim. Killed the ranged shadows and prayer swapped for the magic ones.
Slayer helmet seems like an odd choice. It's no better than a rune full helm off-task. One waterskin is enough to run from the fairy ring to the Champion of Scabaras. Even so, it's very useful to see the fights in action.

I did this at cb75 heres some tips for the second boss for anyone else doing this low level. Wear your best mele defencive gear and best stab weapon. I used the leaf bladed sword and dragon dagger for spec.pray mele and Dump your specs at the start of the fight then once he summons the shade wait for him to do the lighting move dodge it and move closer to the shade. When he gets down to 50% the shade will start using magic. Since youre wearingngood mele defensive armorn switch to protect from magic. Hope this helps.
Omg thanks before watching this I kept getting one shot by the attack where the screen goes dark. I thought to prevent that you had to kill her shadows but really you just have to focus her. Whoops!
So I tried this boss using a blowpipe. I’ve died in the two times I’ve tried this. I didn’t have my weapon set to long range. Is that a reason or am I bad?
If you have a fang the menaphite akh fight is ridiculously easy (he's super weak to stab) Also you can use thralls for the champion of scabaras which might help a little :)
Why do I keep dying as soon as she switches with the shadow. Literally dead in 1 tick after awitch even at full health (92). Why is this not covered in your video?

Ever Since Sins of the Father im always paranoid of Master Quest Bosses But compared to Vanstrom Klause These guys really dont measure up Probably cause i dont have to use that dang flail

I'd switch out the twisted buckler for a cheaper option. Run Barrows, get karils. A rune Crossbow will probably work or spend the 1.7m for a D Crossbow. Honestly the gear I'm running with other than the buckler is stuff you should have at this point if your trying to do these types of quests. It's by no means the best gear in the game. So I would spend time in either upping your stats so the basic cheap gear will be enough or spend some time grinding for gear or gp to buy it. Thanks for watching!

Run to the shadow when it gets DARK and DO NOT "run to the other side of the room".. Attack the other shadow thats is attacking you instead.. Died 2 times to this wrong instructions.
honestly as an iron, you using top gear makes this guide less useful than it could have been. I dont have any of that gear and if thats the minimum(which its not) then i'd be screwed.

If your slayer helm is not imbued it doesn't have any range penalty.

I don't see why not. Just keep in mind your prayer will drain quicker.
Didnt explain very well that you have to hit the other shadow during that phase.
You don’t need to hit the shadow just pray magic after the boss has dropped under 50% waste of time
