Congratulations on a marvellous channel, informative and entertaining videos alike.
Around 1998 you introduced me to Fish Keeping. I remember, as crystal clear as yesterday, the multiple tanks in your flat. Especially the pride you took in your Discus tank. Also the fact that you had moonlights for nighttime on tanks, a Malawi Tank and much more.
On your advice, I kept a tank with a puffer - which, to this day I swear, had a sense of humour. Again, on your advice - I kept, what was then extremely rare, Ghost Knives. Obviously combined with many of the other species you pared together.
Somehow, we lost contact around 2009 ish.
Because of you, my friend, my own aquarium is still my favourite hobby. The kids even have a Beta each in their individual bedrooms.
Again - well done! Recording a life long passion for prosperity.

Do you have backup power for load shedding? Or do you just keep the filter and heater off while there's no power?
I do. That puffer tank has a ACDC airpump that keeps going, running the sponge filter when power is off. So there is always at least some filtration going when the power is off in my tanks. Heaters are not running when power is off but the temps do not go down enough to cause trouble for the four hour outages.
