Thanks for the great video! I like to seek your opinion on the F64 Evo as a home grinder. Do you think it is great for home use? Also is the cleaning of the burrs a chore in the design point of view compared to the newest grinders in the market with great design to make opening up and cleaning much easier. Thanks
I was using the F64 as a home grinder for 4 years. It is a good grinder. Now I switched over to Mazzer SJ Pro (cant get better than this) How to clean fiorenzato f64 , refer to our video 139 , or th-cam.com/video/wm_7anrzHo8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=T34tyJe36KonjhDc This is recommended every once a year (or 6 months if your volume is high). You should never scrub or clean the burr of the grinder too often as it will make it blunt. You can flush the grinder once a week (or daily). The chamber contains 2 shots, so just grind and throw away 2 shots of coffee for flushing.
You shouldn't be looking at the number. As the burr blade is new, its more coarse. As the burr gets more worn, you will need to set more and more fine. So the number will change all the time.
@MalaysiaBarista thats useful, thanks. Another simple question for you I think. What should be the correct number when set the griding times? I expect about 17-18 grams coffee for double spout basket. And so far I did 4,7,5 but coffee amount still not satisfied yet. Pls help thank you.
@@jampruekasavanich3872 this totally depends on the coffee beans you are using . Different coffee beans have different hardness (or how fresh) , harder = more time to grind . The lastest Fiorenzato model , is 4.95 for 20g for the coffee beans we are using .

Had my evo for 2 years now. Its awful. Costing my small coffee van business due to the amount of coffee I continue to waste getting the grind time right along with the grind of coffee!
You shouldn’t be spending so much coffee beans on calibration (dialing); unless if the blade or burr is worn . Symptoms of worn burr is inconsistency . Have you check your burr?

How is this different from the oldest model?
Does this version have a cooling fan ?
Yes it comes with a cooling fan
Hi.. I would like to know that is this grinder grind by weigh or by time?
XGI version is by weight , the non-XGI (this video) is time .
@@MalaysiaBarista thank you..
That's very helping answer.
how can you manually grind on it ?
Press the Manual button in the center
What's the burr size?
64mm flat burr
Whats the grind size you selected at last?

@Malaysia Barista the Mahlkonig 365s is one I'm looking at. A weight based machine rather than timed. It's really expensive though.
