THE BASSLINE FROM ELECTRIC RELAXATION!!!!
This is pure joy to listen to. I freaking love it when people aren't afraid to take risks
Bassline = Ronnie Foster's Mystic Brew, sax melody = Wayne Shorter's Nefertiti, title track of Miles' '67 album. An inspired and inspiring combo!
@reasonformirrors oh instantly got that one. I love jazz. I love hip hop. I wish more people realized how closely related they are to one another.
Awesome...just awesome. Sometimes there were 3 ideas going on, then 2 but then it was all 1? Mindfuck.
"AHHHHHH! . . . AH!" ~Chris Dave. lol
that just blew my mind
Shorty let me tell you about my only advice; it has to do with lots of drummin' and it always sounds nice.
I hadn't heard of Chris Dave until only a short while before this gig, when I interviewed Matt Johnson, drummer on Jeff Buckley's 'Grace'...
Sounds interesting but I didn't get what's the relation between Chris Dave and Matt Johnson

Props to Foley too man. He always knows right where Chris is at
The trio - originally advertised as having, I think, a guitarist (so, yes, Zhenya was depping at the last minute) - played two nights at CW's...

When talking about influences, and his favourite drummers, etc., Matt mentioned that Chris Dave was the local drumming talent when he was coming up...
