In the Unicron trilogy, which served as my introduction to the franchise, he's a Unicron cultist and con artist purely motivated by his desire to cause chaos among both Autobots and Decepticons alike. And then he makes his big screen debut as a throwaway 'Con. Ugh.
I do agree on that the cons deserve to shine in live actions has true main antagonist instead of being treated like animals cuz look at how they massacre devastator they turned him into an wild animal like I don't mind he is a quadrapidal transformer but at least they should have given him speech and higher level intelligence same goes shockwave brawl and the others

Also I love this part 3:01 where ironhide burst through the flames to catch up with Optimus, cuz he knows that he needs help to take demolisher down. Man the loyalty of this autobot. And love the fact that Optimus went for demolishers head to blindside him. Now he was blindsided ironhide went for the tires to stop that crazy ride. And god I love that shot 3:25 of Optimus and Ironhide together!

I completely agree, the story lines made more sense. I’ll admit it had plot holes, but it felt like Transformers 3 was suppose to be the last film considering all the big bad Decepticon’s like Star Scream and Megatron got killed off. Age of Extinction was very disappointed all the original Autobots were killed off except Bumble Bee. I also was gutted Ironhide got killed off too.

Fun fact:
Due to licensing issues with Audi and the writers' strike, Sideways' role was dramatically altered and he was early taken out of the script entirely. Originally, Sideways was going to escape the first wave of his Autobot pursuers by using Demolishor as a distraction. After Demolishor's death, Sideways would have been cornered and engaged by Sideswipe in robot mode. At this point, it would have been Sideways, not Demolishor, who would have dropped the Fallen's name when he threatened Sideswipe during the fight. Ultimately, the scene was never finished. Audi backed out of the licensing agreement and the scene was rewritten to focus on Demolishor. Audi later decided that they DID want their product featured, so a pre-visualization animation of Sideswipe bisecting a Lamborghini (included in the movie DVD's and Blu-ray Disc's bonus material) was reworked to feature an Audi R8 being sliced in half instead.
