Hi Graham! So glad you enjoyed it, Tromso is indeed a beautiful Arctic city and it must be a magical place to live -especially in the winter with the northern lights. I guess we are still a young TH-cam channel so perhaps once people start sharing our videos through other platforms it will keep going up. Thanks again for your comments (i see you have been awarded with the a Top commenter badge!) they are always appreciated. Next episode out in less than an hour =) Sean and Emily
Hi Jeff, it's been an adventurer of a lifetime and we are only half way through! We really love the artic towns and cities they have a certain charm about them. Thanks for watching and we appreciate your comment! Sean and Emily
Have followed you from the time you left home until now in Tromsø. I always look forward to new videos from you. Got a bit hooked, so while I'm waiting for a new video, I'm starting again from episode 1 on your journey in Norway. Starting now for the third time watching your tour. Drove from Oslo and to Nordkapp summer 2022 and experienced the midnight sun at its best.
Hi, nice to hear form you and thanks for following our tour! We are really glad you are enjoying the videos -even third time around! =) This has been a special tour for us indeed as Norway has been spectacular. We were a bit too late for the midnight sun -but with it we might have forgotten to sleep, sound like you had a great trip too! Just in case you don't fancy watching the Heading North Series a 4th time perhaps the Heading South Tour might be of interest too =) th-cam.com/play/PLl_mRzVHVQ0yRXu9qeZuZWnHoS1KQV7_8.html&si=ayIajU-UvhRafspo New episode out on Saturday as we finally start the final ride North =) Thanks for your continued support and comments. Thank you for visiting my country😊🇳🇴 It look like you had a fantastic trip on your bike❤ when did you actually go? If you had been here in the summertime this year the north of norway had a spectacular wether☀️☀️☀️😎 Thank you again and welcome back😊 Ride safe🇳🇴
Hi Jan, thanks for having us in your wonderful country -it was our privilege to travel through Norway! We set off the beginning of September and got back home early October (a little late we know but this was the earliest we could go). The weather in the south wasn't that great as you may have seen in previous videos but as soon as we got past the artic circle the weather went great as you say! Thanks so much for you positive comment and it's great hearing from locals. We hope you enjoy the rest of the series. Sean and Emily
A lovely video, Emily you should be a tour guide! You both make the video's so interesting. Thank you for sending the 'Spain tour' link Sean, I'm binge watching at the mo! 🤣
Thanks so much! Hehe the only problem with that is Emily isn't in the same place for more than a day 🤣 The timing for Tour guide Emily would have to be perfect lol. But really a big thanks for your kind words of encouragement! You're welcome! The Spain tour was a lot of fun too (we will be adding the map to our website soon for this one) there's plenty of other tours on here too but i think Spain should keep you busy for now 😄 Thanks for your continued support Sean and Emily
Nice videos and fantastic trip, well done !! Just wondering what microphones you use while filming as you both can talk on the same clip. Thanks for your feedback and keep it coming!

Well, it is not the inhabitants of Tromsø that started to call it Paris of the North (not Norway). This article will explain were it came from: Travelers in the nineteenth-century were blown away by Tromø’s women, fashion, food and culture. In admiration they dubbed Tromso “The Paris of the North”. There’s always a lot going on in Tromso, from exciting restaurants to numerous festivals, museums and cultural events, so no matter your preferences, you should be able to find some sort of entertainment to keep you busy. Around the year 1900 the poet Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, who wrote the lyrics to Norway’s national anthem, told his wife that Tromso is "nothing but champagne and spectacle."
That was very interesting, had no idea what to expect, and I didn’t realise Tromso was so big, population approx 70,000! I bet it looks entirely different in the winter! Thanks for the guided tour, always a pleasure, well filmed and narrated! 👏👍😀🏍
Hi, Yeah that surprised us too! Riding for hours without seeing anything but small towns and then seeing the big city lights was cool. Actually very glad it was a big town as i (Sean) left our camera charger at a hotel and fortunate they had them in stock! (also found out our camera wont charge with a USB cable). Yeah it must look amazing in winter -would be cool to go back with a 4x4. Apparently Northern lights are best seen in this area! Thanks for you words of encouragement -it means a lot to us =) Sean and Emily

We're thoroughly enjoying your series of videos. We have a planned trip through Norway next year, after starting in Barcelona, shipping the bike from Queensland. I don't seem to be able to work out what time of year this is, assuming late August and early September? That's probably when we are looking to get to Scandinavia. Keep providing the great content.
Hi Andy, we are so happy you are enjoying them and thanks for taking the time to let us know 😊. Yes you are right, it was basically all of September - perhaps a little late in the season so the risk of bad weather was high (although there is always a risk of bad weather in Norway) but I reckon mid August is probably the best time to do this trip as it's still summer but coming towards the end of the busy season. It's really cool that you are coming form Australia to do this trip! Not sure what you are planning for the rest of your trip but perhaps you might want to check out the 'Heading South Tour' and maybe the 'The Alpine Tour Of Switzerland And Italy' playlists for some awesome rides. You can also find some maps of these tours on our website: seanandemilytravels.com/tours You must be really excited for next years trip!! All the best in your planning and hopefully hear from you again soon. Sean and Emily

@@SeanandEmily I've just thought of something. Did you have any difficulty find a launderette in Tromso? I will need to do some laundry but hotel laundries are very expensive.
Hi, Actually we were only in Tromso for 2 nights so didn't do a big wash there. We travel with hand clothes wash and a small washing line so can wash smaller items on the go. To be honest we are not sure if Launderettes are a big thing in Norway, although a few hotels we stayed at at had self service washing machines. But yeah totally agree when the hotel does it it can get expensive. Another tip would be to go to a youth hostel and ask if you can use their machines (they almost always have washing machines to use there).
Im on the sofa with a deadly case of man flu, and you guys popped up! What an amazing channel. Been binge watching.. its a bit wierd that it took so long to find you, but i blame youtube. Hi Jon, oh no not man flu!! That's going to take at least a week to get over -be sure not to leave the sofa unless necessary 😂. Thanks so much for commenting! -we really appreciate your comment and positive feedback. Our channel is still fairly new (just over 12 months now) so i guess it takes a while for YT to push it out -if after your binge watch it's still good feel free to share with anyone who might enjoy it. Yeah we loved Trondheim -so lucky you for living in such a cool place. Next episode is out Saturday and Sunday as we make our way to the Nordkapp. Thanks again for your positive comment -it makes a nice change from 'it's a city not a town' or you said '23 km when actually it's 22.5 etc etc ' lol 😂 Wishing you a speedy recovery Sean and Emily

it's true it can be an expensive place to travel, however we cooked most of our meals and slept in the tent some nights. Also the small wood cabins are a great price and most have cooking facilities too.
