    I have been watching your videos about your trip throughout Norway and it was great ! what I am left with is this:
    Even if you came to Norway in one of the coldest and most rainy summers recorded in history , you still kept your mood high! Loved your content, it was really really good There is even stuff I, as a Norwegian didn't know about.
    As a traveler vlog: 10/10.
    However, lots and lots more to see! 10/10!
    No:11/10!

      Hi Helge, thank you so much for that heartfelt comment! It means the world to us to hear such encouraging words! This was a dream trip of ours and no amount on rain was going to stop us enjoying it! -had no idea it was one of the rainiest summers on record lol.
      We're delighted to hear that you've enjoyed the series! If you happen to know anyone else who might appreciate it, we would really appreciate it if you could share it with them.
      Next episode out tonight.
      Thanks again

      @@SeanandEmily I will definitely share with family and friends 😊 and watching your journey to Nordkapp as I am typing this 😊
      Raindeers in the north are domesticated animals and you almost never have them as wild animals, as you can have in small quantites in the south. In the north the indigenous Sami people herd them all year around. Winter and summer 🌞

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Helge, thanks so much for sharing it really means a lot to us and helps the channel to grow =) .
      That's interesting, we did see some tags on some of the reindeers which did make us wonder if they were domesticated. This is a very natural way, they appear to have the freedom to roam about which is nice. Hearding them in the winter must be a task!!
      Thanks again for watching!

    As a fellow Norwegian motorcyclist rider. At a ferry lineup station, create your own queue. Pick the outmost lane. The ferry peronnelll will like to stack their cargo as easy as possible. A separate lane of motorcyclists in a separate lane makes the boarding easier. Happy journies forwards!

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh good tip! We were worried that the first lanes would fill up and then they say there isn't enough room -but i guess there's always room for bikes. You live in a beautiful country! we are already looking forwards to returning.
      Thanks for watching and we hope you are enjoying the series.

    The mountains you saw just after the second ferry is called «Lyngsalpan» or something like the Lygenalps. Quite famous actually - as many people also foreigners come to ski there (and get killed in avalanches as well…)

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info! Guessing there is a lot of off-piste sections then where the avalanche danger is high.

      Olderdalen - Lyngseidet Ferry

      The two ferries were to get from Tromsø back to the E6 as a shortcut over the ullsfjord and lyngenfjord, no need to take them but saves a lot of gas and cost since they are free.

    If you had taken the other way around, you would have seen more beautiful mountains in Nordkjosbotn and Skibotn, pluss the mountains you saw. I think you guys missed out.
    The signs you saw, at the end of the video, were road signs for reindeer and moose.
    Greetings from Norway

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're probably right, as we came to Tromso on the E8 we didn't want to double back on ourselves and ride the same road twice although as you say that section does look stunning too! That said the ferry crossing (Olderdalen Lyngseidet) was stunning so perhaps the 868 road would have been a good option too. All the more reason to come back and do it all again 😀.
      We hope you are enjoying the series and thanks for watching.

    Nice video.
    Too late now, obviously, but you would have saved time riding via NORDKJOSBOTN given the waiting for departure…
    A bit longer but without any ferry rides…
    Ride safe 😊

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah ironically we took this route to save time!! 🤣 Upto this point every short ferry crossing had been a maximum of 20 min wait, so over an hour was a bit frustrating -will be sure to check the ferry times next time. Although the views form the second ferry (Olderdalen Lyngseidet) were spectacular!

      The GSA has taken us to every country in Europe without any problems, has carried our luggage, kept us comfortable for 12 hour riding days, been fun on the twisties, let us ride longer without fuel stops and given us some of the best memories ever. Sure any motorcycle can do the basic requirement of transporting you but if that was all that mattered we would all ride 125 cc motorcycles. As a tall rider riding two up I find the R1250 comfortable and i'm happy to ride all day everyday on it. While acknowledging the GS's remarkable qualities, I am open to exploring other options that might better suit our needs. I welcome your recommendations for a motorcycle that matches or surpasses the GS's capabilities.
