Hey, I have the same gimbal, and a Lumix S5 camera with S primes. I perfectly balance the gimbal and it works well when I put the camera on the sliding plate, however when I put the camera on a ANDYCiNE quickrelease plate and I balance perfectly again, but when I turn it on then it starts shaking as if it was not balanced. But when I turn it off and check the balance I can put the camera in every angle and it stays there, also when turn on the gimbal and tap the check balance it's perfect. I noticed when I losen the lever under the camera the shaking is gone. The I thighten the lever and it starts the shaking again.
If you still have the Weebill S just go with it, honestly I don´t see a reason to Upgrade :) And we all know that Zhiyun are completley crap when it comes to customer service, they wasnt able to bring a proper update for the Weebill S. Dear Zhiyun that´s not the way how to handle a customer. My next will be definitely not a Zhiyun one
If you are not a full on pro (like me), have an apsc or light ff camera (like me too) and already own a Weebill S (also like me) then you are perfectly good with your current rig. The latest firmware lessened the jitters a little. However this is the best gimbal for first timers.
I don't know at this stage - I will keep to my Weebill S's (I have two of them), as I think that I can more or less simulate the new features as on the Weebil 2, to some degree.
Glad they updated the lock system, mine Weebill S doesn't lock at all anymore and just flops around. Kinda sad they made it bigger though, I love how the Weebill S is pretty small for a nice gimbal. But overall, this looks really nice!
Nice Peter as always. My older weebil S with GH5 and the Sirui anamorphic lens. I can't get the load far enough back to make it work. I have to tape lead weights on lol. Does this new gimbal manage this. As in can you get the centre of gravity further back for bigger heavier lenses? Thanks:)
@@PeterMakholm Ah cool thanks. I have enough room on the weebil s. It is just the plate isn't long enough to go any further back so can't get the centre of gravity further back. Does the 2 have more adjustment?
Thanks for giving us your thoughts bro. My main thing is how smooth I can get footage in 24 fps. Running Bmpcc4k on Weebil-S with no cage, C-fast, and counterweight. Still cant get rid of the intermittent wobble despite firmware updates, Balancing, walking carefully, adding dual handle bars, you name it. It's gotten the job done in 60fps for me but still. Maybe I just received a bad unit but no one should have to worry about these things (this much) on any set by now.
no Lumix S1H ?? but the S5 will balance ?? the S1h is about 3.5lbs with small lens .Zhiyun says 8.8 lbs load cap. what gives here? The top heavy footprint??
Can I use the old TransMount Servo Zoom/Focus Controller with the New Weebill 2? Are they by any means compatible or I just have to buy the new one that comes with the PRO Package?
You are right mate. I don't know why I took the S1H and not the S5. but as you could see the S1H goes on there and the weebill 2 has the power to handle it , but you can't balance the Roll axis with the S1H.
DJI RSC2... If you want to use the transmitter a lot the I would go with DJI RS2... The Weebill 2 is good, but I need more time with it to give me my final verdict.
Thank you for always taking time to review zhiyun gimbals bro. I only have one question, does it have a mode in which there's a horizontal lock so that when I tilt up or tilt down, the horizon is locked, like in the DJI R2 ? In weebil s we only can tilt up or down in pov moee. The problem I have in pov mode is that the horizon is not straight when I tilt up or down. This for me is the only reason I would switch to weebil S2.
Great video as always :) I have wanted to replace the weebill s even though I love it, for somethign more robust. I also have the Crane 2S and would love to know how it would compare to the weebill 2. The reaso I have the Crane 2S is so I can use my GH5s with Sigma 18-35. Also I like that it has the larger tread in the base if I ever want to use it on a monopod like a crane. Dont trust the small thread on the weebill S. Can you tell me what tread is on the Weebill 2? ANyway thanks for your great videos, keep it up :)
Bro,i have bought weebill s after watching your vdos and many other influencers on youtube, and at my first payed project the gimbal had a problem, when i place the camera on gimbal the camera automatically goes down, ithink the joystick goes jammed to downwards and i returned it, as you said i was happy with weebill s other than built quality and now i am confused on buying another gimbal, sir what should i go for as i travel with gimbal a lot it should be compact and powerful, and should i invest on rsc2
Being a. Weebill S owner, I’m already having mixed feelings about the weebill 2. But I have to admit, the weebill s handle, I accidentally touch the buttons all the time.
Get the WEEBILL 2 for 499$ at Ulanzi: geni.us/YX1f

Because you probably have used your weebill s that you probably have memorized all the settings.
What quick-release plate are you using Peter to quickly attach your Weebill 2 onto the tripod legs?
Hi, I am using the Ulanzi Falcam geni.us/Aqlw
@@PeterMakholm thanks Peter, I’ve found it now.

excatly my thoughts !
Yes, if you don't need to upgrade then I would keep the Weebill s
Hello! Can you make a video about the latest update of this gimbal? Thank you
Can we use this gimbal for canon eos 90D along with canon 18-135mm lens ? Please inform brother
Does anyone knows if this can balance the panasonic s1?
If not what gimbal should I get for it?

Hello, where I can buy second vertical grip for two hands like yours? (its not a Weebill 2 Pro package included) ?
Can you use the Weebill 2 in upside down mode? Does it work well in upside down mode with dual handles?
I havent tested that yet.
@@PeterMakholm Hope you'll cover this in a later video Peter!
@@ImpactBlueStudios no it is not possible. I tested it yesterday.
@@PeterMakholm Sad. Thank you for confirming! Both the Crane 2S and DJI RS2 can be inverted with no issues correct?
is it smaller than the rs2 by a lot or just about the same size now?
It is smaller than the RS2, and the weight distribution of the gimbal is very good.
great video always. This is the official zhiyun weebill channel for me. Is it worth moving from Zhiyun Weebill S?
I you already have the Weebill s and don't need a bigger gimbal, then there is no need to get the weebill 2..
Oh Yeah straight to the point ... Niiiiiiice .
For someone looking to buy their first gimbal it’s between this weebill 2 and Rsc 2 which would you recommend ?

Yes, you will get a lot more clerance. I could easily put the larger S5 with a cage and quick release plate...

I hope they can make it output video through the monitor by wire not the transmission transmitter
I am not sure about that at the moment.
is it Falcam plate from Ulanzi still compatible with Weebill 2 ?
Yes it works perfectly.
Where did u buy it?
Bcs on the site u can only pre order
I got is as a pre production modes for test from Focus Nordic.

Hi, Yes it can take the S5 but not the S1H.. It has the power to do it but you can't balance the roll motor.
@@PeterMakholm this is such GOOD INFO saves me return postage thank you you are a great discovery
do you use the Ronin s2 for the high end Lumix S1H?
Do you think this gimbal can hold a gh5, sigma art 1.8 18-35mm and a xl metabones speedbooster?
Can I use the old TransMount Servo Zoom/Focus Controller with the New Weebill 2? Are they by any means compatible or I just have to buy the new one that comes with the PRO Package?
The Gimbal King.
Thanks mate.
Any chance for comparison Weebill S vs. Weebill 2 (field tests) ?:)
Yes. It will soon be out.
on 8:27 you are mounting the S1H not the S5 and on 8:53 you say you cant mount the S1H, i m a bit confussed Sir :)

hi peter, which one is better, weebill2 OR rsc2? if you know, please help me
There is ups and downs on both. I need more time with the Weebill 2 to 100% anwser that.
Weebill 2 or DJI RSC 2?
RSC2

You have to use the "follow" (F) mode with zhiyun for that. This normally already exists on weebil s and all zhiyun gimbals
I will have to check that on Monday...
Very good Video

s5 ? say s1 or s1r
S5 fits on their perfectly.
Sometimes you will sound like Arnold. I'll be baaack!
The design looks to be a lemon. Don't like the battery solution and the placement of the controls. Let's hope v3 is better
Saying the Weebill 2 makes smooth footage while using the Lumix S5 is kind of useless.
Don’t be nit picking man. Then show us your footage of something similar doing it without the gimbal then on the LUMIX.
man , you need a better table, whole scene are shaky
try to smile a bit
Weebil s was so bad. This model looks much better
Yes, build quality is defiantly better.
