Same, I was watching it with my 12yo son (who is also a fan), and we just looked at each other and went "I know that voice!" No hesitation as to who it was.
I love how all the McFly fans knew who it was from the start. Danny really does have such an amazing and distinctive voice. I hope he got some new fans out of this.
I think he’s released one of the songs on Spotify and I’m pretty sure there’s rumours of him recording some others 😊 I’m keeping an eye out for it myself!

I've been a huge mcfly fan ever since they came out, Danny was always my favourite his voice is brilliant but this programme gave him the recognition he deserves, truly one of the strongest male voices i have ever heard..and i was so excited it was him as i recognised him soon as he first sang🎉🎉❤❤
I got his voice within seconds of his first song and I still listen to it most days as he's realised that song on Spotify. I adore Mcfly and their music.
