Hey guys! After editing this video, I started questioning my pronunciation and went WAY DOWN the google rabbit hole 🕳😂. I live in Canada and in the area where I live, everyone always says MISS-ILAR water, however, I think this is actually incorrect. I think it is MY-CELL-AR water. Sorry about that! 🫣 For some reason, my pronunciation changed half way through the video to the correct one. LOL. Clearly, two videos a week is making me slightly crazy 🤪
You were pronunciating the first part as we do it in French... an other example of the multi languages heritage of our country! Thanks for putting the price in CAD too!
@@juliedeshaies86 OOOOOH Maybe that is why! I live in Ontario so I am close to Quebec. I bet the pronunciation got leaked over here as it often does regionally. Thanks for making me feel better about it.
I really like how you broke it down for the different skin types; It is helpful to know what products are best for my mature, dry skin. Thanks for all you do!
This product helped me after my eye surgery. I couldn’t splash water on my face while I was on my antibiotic eye drops and this product helped me cleanse my face without infecting my eye.
A few years ago, I started using an eye makeup remover that contained micellar water. Within a few weeks, I started developing dry, itchy eyes. A visit to the optometrist showed that my tear ducts were blocked. I did some research and learned that those round little micellar cells can stick to skin and cause irritation. I stopped using that particular eye makeup remover, and, with treatment, my eyes cleared up. Some time after that, I accidently bought a small travel bottle of a different eye makeup remover that also contained micellar water (the print was so small I didn't see it listed on the label). Within a couple of days, my eyes started stinging and itching. After reading the label carefully, I immediately stopped using that eye makeup remover, and I have avoided anything containing micellar water ever since. It seems that most people can use micellar water without problems, but some of us may be sensitive to it.
Oh me too! I just wanted to post a request on toners. Do you need it to remove cleanser residue from the face, or is there no cleanser residue? If you do, what are the brands for different skin types?
I LOOOOOOVVVEEEEE micellar water! So much more effective than makeup wipes. And Garnier (the bottle with the blue cap) is UNMATCHED! I always purchase the jumbo size. SOOO GOOD! Great vid!
I'm obsessed with micellar water. I think as it doubles as an on-the-go cleanser and can replace make-up remover (works so well with mascara) it's a must. I use it for many things so I make my own 🙂
I’ve used micellar water for years. It’s great for removing make-up. My favorite is from Avene. I also often (gently) use the REN face scrub afterwards.
@@GlamGirlGabi I've been experimenting with so many options to remove mascara without tugging and I'm not finding one that works well. Do you recommend any oil-based cleansers?
I use a Garnier one that I really like. The one with hyaluronic acid + aloe. It’s perfect for first step in cleansing or just touch ups during the day…like you stated. Now I want to try the Drunk Elephant one for dry skin. Yikes. Random side note: this is probably really germy…but…I still do it sometimes…🙈…put it on your cotton round on one side & then gently blow on the other side for foamy suds.
The Bioderma Hydrabio is amazing. I have really dry skin and this is an easy way to cleanse my face in the morning. Also love it for eye makeup removal.
Well, I have to say since discovering micellar water, I am amazed to see how much stuff comes off on the cotton pad, even AFTER cleansing. (And appalled to think of all the years I thought cleansers and toners were actually getting all my makeup off my skin!) I've become a triple cleanser: Oil first, then water based cream cleanser, then micellar water to make sure I've gotten everything off my skin. (And frankly, I then rinse after I use the micellar water because, I don't like the idea of leaving what I think of as a cleanser on my skin.) It's like micellar water sees makeup that is invisible to the human eye! I use the Bioderma Sensibio.
What is question-Can Dimethicone free products be worn with products that have Dimethicone? We could say, what are Dimethicone free products, how they differ, how to use? Thank you, Gabi-love the tutorial on what is Micellar Water!

Hi Gabi, thank you for new serie, I like the idea a lot 😊 I have one question about micelar water. I have to say I use micelar water and I like it, but I always rinse it off with second cleanser no matter what (less makeup, more, none). I don't remember where I have got idea to do it, I only remember, that it should be better to wash it off 🤔 And this is actually part of my question. Is it true? Or am I beeing confused? (Is this sentence correct in english? I'm trying to improve my present perfect 😄🙈. - Sorry, forget about it 😁). Continue: I know, that makeup artists use it everytime before doing make-up on clients without washing it off (it is understood), so...I'm most likely mistaking 😉 Thank you, have a nice day 🍀🖐️
If you are using it to take off makeup you will want to wash it off and cleanse the face afterward. If you are just freshening up your face you don't need to.
I’ve been using wrong!! I first cleanse with an oil I thought to break down, then cerave foaming cleanser, and then I use the micellar water and I ensure everything off. Surprisingly I find some remnants on the pad. Do I need to flip this in my routine?
Oh yes that is the incorrect order. You’re using it like a toner but it’s not a toner. if you’re using an oil to breakdown makeup + a cleanser, there is no reason why you need a Micellar water. If you want to use micellar water, I would do micellar water + cleanser + rinse.
@GlamGirlGabi How about a video about the best way to remove waterproof mascara and eye makeup without pulling and tugging? I guess it should be something with oil, but what?
Yes it is very good for places with harsh water. Don't rely on it without water 100% of the time though. It won't cleanse properly enough long term if you never rinse.
I use Nioxin products. If you’re in Canada, you can buy them from Trade Secrets. There is a whole line they make that is dedicated to fine hair/thinning hair. I recommend for sure.
Once you use it second cleanse at night and as the start in the morning you'll never go back. I use Garnier -- all but the yellow oil one because that one breaks me out.

I ALWAYS use it. I like taking the bulk of my makeup off with it, which then allows my cleanser to get deep down and really get ALL the makeup off.
It is a handy tool, and way less harsh than makeup wipes.
Dry skin here and I love Garnier with aloe is my go to everyday. Removes make very easy and is good as you say a double cleansing .
