The Glow of Fire and Passion in this girls eyes is...almost terrifying. There is no doubt in my mind Mckayla Maroney will become one of the greatest gymnasts in the world, If not THE greatest!
Even though this was not a great routine for her, this is by far my favorite floor routine on the entire U.S. team... her choreography is amazing and she's cleaned up her routine so much in the last year :)
When she is running to do a tumbling pass on floor, she runs like she is doing vault! ;D but that's okay because it just means she's going for good form!
3.5 NEEDS to be a G or maybe an H. everyone can do a silivas but hardly anyone does a 3.5 maybe bc it’s so low rated but it looks so difficult and much more beautiful than a silivas
name of song its absolutely beautiful btw i dont really know about gymnastics is she like on travel team that get too go everywhere in the world? respond please ty!!!!!
Totally agree! The rule is awful. They want them to be more like the men, but when have women's floor routines EVER been like the men's? Not only does it run the risk of injury, but the controlled step looked better on the landings almost every time! Plus, it made sticking a pass look that much more impressive, as opposed to stutter steps and leaps that we get today.
If she could just control her landings...her routine would be amazing. She throws such difficult skills, that if she stuck them or at least controlled them a little more, her routine would be amazing because everything else is great!
@accent77 well obviously you arent paying attention since you didnt notice that this was in 2011. She has improved so much in the last year, watch a floor routine from 2012 like the on from the olympic trials, then you will see how amazing she is one floor :)
Yes! And being able to step out of it (while in full control of course), would allow them to display their transitions within their routine which is part of being "artistic." Hence the name "Artistic Gymnastics." For dancers (which gymnasts practically are), there comes the sport, but the artistry part comes from small things like musicality and transitions. So why not allow them to step out as long as it's in control? However, I believe in sticking for the other three apparatuses.
Matthew Torres Well They Aren't Practically Dancers Because Gymnasts Swing On A Bar And Do Releases And Go Over A Vault With Flips And Twist And On Floor They Do Double Flipping Skills And Really Powerful Skills . Dancers Don't Do Any Of The Things In Gymnastics Except The Coreography On Beam And Floor With Leaps And Pirouettes
This is a great idea. They already have the difficulty score mechanism in place. Make worth a tenth or two in difficulty to have stuck landings on a tumbling pass.
I hate the "Sticking" rule on tumbling passes. I think if the landing is controled, there shouldn't be a deduction. Girls are making more mistakes trying to stick it than they would if they were allowed to finish their passes with a step to present.
Going back and watching more of her floor routines; cant understand why she wasnt known for her floor too. She was absolutely stunning on this event. And ...... I am noticing how long her arms are. Maybe that was the secret to her incredible block. I know she said she was obsessed with tarzan and walked on all 4s for some time; maybe thats why her arms are longer.
I think she had some bad luck in major meets on the event. She was good enough tob e a contender but it didnt quite all come together at the right time. Also while she had great tumbling and very good dance, where she probably lost difficulty points was in missing the complicated dance jumps/turns n eeded for extra points. That is the one thing I notice missing and was key to start value.
She was a greate gymnast .!!
Please, does someone know how song is playing during her routine?!
her spin at 1:00 is beautiful! I think she could also be known as a great FX worker...she has the grace and power in my opinion

she shoyuld do a quad twist
It’s not in the code of points right now, but it’s not as hard as the biles ii lol
@@EmilyS1234 okay? not everything is about simone
Not enough rotation she looks like she twists into the floor
@@zaaachhyyyif you see it in slow motion it looks like she completes it mid air then drops into it

I don't know why everyone is saying that she's bad, i mean, she won silver in the all-round that year at visa's, and gold at vault.
elegant as nastia Linkin was

I know this is not the most important thing, but I love this leotard!

This is my team mates floor music, I love the music and the routine so much!
She is very inconsistent on this event, but her 3.5 twist is amazing!

That's really stupid
She improved so much since this though. If she hadn't been injured, she would've definitely been used on floor in the TF.
if you think she's bad, try doing it yourself =)
Ella no va con la música! Es muy linda, pero no lleva el ritmo, ni la velocidad que esta melodia requiere! Es raro, tal vez no va con su personalidad!
I like the song :D

i agree i LOVE her 2012 flooe music tho
I came here to watch her do something besides vaulting. I watched her other three routines and now I know why she only vaulted.
Ummm rude
2 people were not impressed
@LoveAndGymnastics noo, dont you get happy when you see a triple twist stick or a double double. its awesome.
thank goodness for the new CoP :D It allows a lunge out
it's is the greatest, europeans are not winning as much anymore
Love her Leo and her routine but her foot hit the white! :0
McKayla was not impressed by this routine.
the music is so not mckayla
Anyone else think that music was like nails on a chalkboard?? So irritating
It is funny how the commentators say this is a great choreo.... It seems like they haven't watched european gymnasts ahaha. :p
to be honest shes pretty bad on the other events but great on vault like bae status vaulting omg
She's improved a LOT since 2011. She's the national champion on floor and has won a major AA title.
Thay 3.5 is amazing. I miss it
