11:20, driving through there a couple of years ago, a lady was in the middle of the freeway, waving us down to stop. Turned out a family of elk? moose? was crossing the highway right in front of us. A fantastic drive made even more wonderful. (And no animals were harmed in the process, either.) Thank you, lady in the middle of the freeway.

In 1978, my brother and I were driving to Denver from Aspen. Weather was fine entering the tunnel. Came out to a foot of snow on the ground and blizzard conditions. Had a 64 Dodge pickup that I left in what I thought was the median. We hitched back to Denver, then went looking for my truck the next day. Quite the adventure.
You are the BEST RV channel! You give us beautiful scenery and drone shots! You don’t give us face time with talk, talk, talk or whine or complain or show us your Mickey Mouse collection! 😂. You rule! Thanks so much for an excellent TH-cam channel!!😃👍❤️👋👍👍👍👋👋❤️👋👋
Interstate 70 for me, is one of the most beautiful American roads, mainly in Utah and Colorado, passing through rock walls, mountains and following the Colorado River, passing through tunnels and viaducts and after Denver, everything practically flat and straight . It is to be appreciated, beautiful road engineering work. The i90, i80, i40 and i10 also have their particularities that are jaw-dropping. Hello from Brazil, thanks.
Awesome! Really scenic highway, I-70. Stopped exact same pull out on the way back from Arches National Park via Grand Junction, CO on late January, 2020. There were more vehicles in Vail resorts areas back then than as your episode shows in late July. Thanks for sharing your Virtual Vacation!
So nice to be a passenger finally on I70. Ive driven it so many times and really not seen the scenery as a tourist. Thanks. Also the 25 upto WY is a city drive now, no longer rural. Summer tour 202 to remember!
Sitting here waiting for your video! Thanks Russ, love all your videos. Last year we were in Oregon and traveled some of the same roads and places you did. We spent about 5 hours in the Hood River Providence Hospital when our daughter had a gall stone attack, not quite the memory we wanted to remember!
I had a little shop for a while in Glenwood springs back in the 90s when they filmed the movie flashback. With Dennis Hopper and Kiefer Sutherland. The bridge scene was at 4.20 :-)
Hi Russ, I really enjoyed the ride in your video today. For extra realism I kicked back the recliner when you were climbing up those mountains. 😊 Stay safe out there and thanks for letting me hitch a ride.
Thanks Russ, now I knw what I-70 looks like.. Its just like I'm traveling also in that particular highway for free while watching your videos.. Thanks for keep sharing your travel videos.. Keep it up..
Russ, it's in the 90's close to 100's here in Neb. You're going to 3 of my favorite states. It's all breath taking! Wish I was there. I would have liked to see what it looked like from the high road but you would have to be going back that way. You were on the low road. Ha!
This is such a cool one Russ, driven this route a couple of times, to Wolf Creek Ski and to Grand Junction. You could get lost in those pine trees living in a cabin!
After watching your video - I just had to listen to John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High". I love being in the passenger seat of your RV! I hope we Americans can continue to cherish and protect our natural heritage. I hope someday I can visit Colorado (and Montana, too) before I get too old.
FYI Russ. The Eisenhower tunnel runs East to West. The tunnel that you drove through was the Johnson tunnel which runs West to East. Everyone seems to call it the Eisenhower tunnel no matter which way there going. Beautiful scenery all along I-70 especially in Glenwood Canyon.
Love the idea of traveling indefinitely. Especially by road. Every day I'm one step closer to living that dream. I bought a pickup truck this year and now just waiting for high season to end on buying a travel trailer. In late August I expect prices to drop and parks to be more accesible due to less traffic (again summer peak season). The big wildcard is covid. Hopefully things improve on that front. Stay safe Russ, I enjoy your videos.
In 2000, my transmission locked into neutral halfway through the tunnel at the divide. Since it was tall downhill, short uphill, tall downhill, short uphill from there, and it was 2am with no other traffic, I coasted all the way to Idaho Springs before the van couldn't make the uphill.
I drove that road a couple of weeks ago. In spite of the road construction, it is an absolutely breathtaking drive! It didn't cool down til we got to the rest area in Vail.
Lived in Denver in 2015-2016 and drove that route on weekend trips. Loved loved loved it. I saw more on your video since I wasn’t driving this time. Thanks for the video! 👍💕
I was hoping to see Glenwood Springs along I-70. I use to live there. My daughter was born there. You mentioned Rifle, west of Glenwood. I lived there too. I traveled that stretch of highway often. Very familiar, though it's been a while. Thanks for the virtual drive.
That is a amazing road with some of the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen. It was breathtaking on our trip from Denver to las Vegas. We went from a snow storm in Denver to desert in Utah. The greatest creator of all, God, has given us something that man will never be able to create. Enjoy it!!
I was in Colorado 2018 for Vacation. went to the The Georgetown Loop Railroad . Last minute decision to drive west some more just to drive through the Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel.
Last time thru the Rockies along I 70, I was west bound on AMTRAK from Naperville, IL in 2015. I drove a big rig east bound in 1999. Beautiful part of the US no matter what mode of transportation you take!
Back in 2012, I camped underneath the I-70 overpass in idaho springs on the way to sturgis. They were overhauling the overpass. I didn't realize they worked at night until the jackhammers fired up after midnight!
at 21:25 you can see the town of Georgetown. The ending to Every which way but loose was filmed there. That little alley where Philo Beddoe fought the Black Widdows and Cholla fell into the water puddle, and then when Orville dumped the bikes in the dump truck and then ran. Check out the ending to the movie. I always listen to the soundtrack to Every which way but loose or Charlie Rich when I pass through Georgetown. Those were the days.
That was a beautiful video on I-70. Just incredibly scenic and worth the drive to view it. It is totally different from the Central Valley in California.
I almost got eaten by a huge snow plow at the the eastbound end of Eisenhower Tunnel. I had pulled over as far right as possible to put snow chains back on to descend into Denver. I was wearing cowboy boots on the packed snow and almost couldn’t get out of the way in time. Beautiful drive up that way. I hope to get back up there some day.
We’ve been watching for two months now and love your videos. We appreciate the clean windows 😃 and all the care you put into the cameras and drone. The videos have really helped during this time of being shut in. Look forward every day to a new trip and sad when the show ends. We now are looking back at your past trips. Wanted you to know how much these mean to us and your followers. Stay cool 😎 out there this. Weekend here is hot hot hot 🥵. J&L
In Debeque canyon just after the long tunnels across the river on the left as you are headed there is the remains of a pony express stage stop. A little hard to see but just a few hundred yards from the river on the other side of the train tracks. Neat!
Next time instead of the tunnel take the old highway and see the seven sisters. They are avalanche areas in winter but pretty awesome in somewhere. Havagudun Russ.

I'm back-and-forth between Junction and Denver every month :-) love the drive till I get back to Denver.

Hi Russ,
This is absolutely gorgeous, never knew why my Mom ended loved going to Colorado now I know why.
Just Spectacular Wow!!
Went through Sturgis post motorcycle rally....also went through Black Hills area ....wonderful. Keep these wonderful videos coming...thanks Russ!
This is probably my single favorite stretch of interstate highway in the country, with Frisco, CO being my favorite small town along the way.
You are the BEST RV channel! You give us beautiful scenery and drone shots! You don’t give us face time with talk, talk, talk or whine or complain or show us your Mickey Mouse collection! 😂. You rule!

The views from the approach to either side of the Eisenhover Tunnel is so majestic
Colorado marvelous state
Great roads and tunnels
Thanks Russ.

I drove from Lookout Mountain to Central City and saw the same tunnels and beautiful scenic route.
Great ride along. The tunnels are amazing and think what it took to dig thru them. Stay safe
Beautiful drive 🚐. Thanks Russ. Stay safe 😷
Great job Russ! That section of I-70 is on the bucket list for sure 👍
Super ride along, Russ, thank you. Magnificent scenery; can’t wait for more!
Copper Mt area is beyond beautiful in the fall with all of the autumn colors.
The stark relief of the mountains against the sky indicates clean DRY air! 2:59
Took 70 from pa to grand junction. Loved it. Nice video. Thanks!
I lived in Vail during the late 90's. Travelled this road a lot. Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories. I drove that road in 1998. I departed the highway to keep heading east on I-76. That day I drove from Rifle to Grand Island.
Awesome! Really scenic highway, I-70. Stopped exact same pull out on the way back from Arches National Park via Grand Junction, CO on late January, 2020. There were more vehicles in Vail resorts areas back then than as your episode shows in late July. Thanks for sharing your Virtual Vacation!
Beautiful drive, reminds me of parts of Idaho with the rafting and fishing. Thanks Russ!!!

Good morning Russ. Good to be on the road with you !
Your latest videos are really good! Enjoying the ride!
Thanks. You are showing me things and places I have never learned about.
I drove this 2 summers ago. Love Colorado.

Thanks for the great ride...you are the best for RV travels...what a beautiful country we have. Travel safe.
Does no return was quite spectacular green as long as it is and that 11000 foot elevation. We've been through it a couple times once on a motorcycle.
Did those tunnels back in '74 on a Suzuki GT-380. Had to downshift from 6th to 3rd gear to make it.
Beautiful! How amazing. Great video....I feel like I am on the road 🤗
Glenwood Canyon and I-70 is on my bucket list. And stops in Georgetown, Dillon . Nice drive!
Hey Russ!! Great views!! Sturgis sounds good!! You did good there last year!! Stay Safe!!
You just drove by my stick and bricks just as you got off the mtn. Stay safe on your trip up North.
This is such a cool one Russ, driven this route a couple of times, to Wolf Creek Ski and to Grand Junction. You could get lost in those pine trees living in a cabin!

Don't you mean Glenwood Canyon? Glen Canyon is back down near Page, Arizona.

Nice one Russ, very picturesque. Stay safe
Enjoyed the ride.
will be taking the west to east route next Saturday for an annual 10 day camping trip! thanks for posting!
I love that section of I-70 thru Glenwood Canyon with the elevated west bound lanes. It is spectacular. Great video.
It’s been more than 10 years since I’ve been there!!

Always a beautiful drive to and from Moab, Utah.

Beautiful drive excellent video, well watch it over and over
Leadville is the highest town in the US. ...interesting place. Would be a nice place to live I think. Never too hot, and never too cold.
Tunnel vision! Great views all around!

Beautiful countryside.
Talking about cooler weather I spent July 4th week in Breckinridge a couple of years ago and had to wear a sweatshirt when the sun went down.
brings back a lot of memories, thanks so much

I'm in Fort Lupton, just north of Denver. You should have waved when you passed my Rt 52 exit! LOL!

dang your getting real close but good afternoon any way
Once I sheared off 2 lug nuts right before the Eisenhower tunnel. Took the dealer 10days to order them.
Safe travels
I-70 is getting to be in pretty sad shape........... Beautiful drive on I-70!
