I watch through Star Gate Atlantis one time but since it turned into "vampires in space" I haven't really wanted to re-watch it again. Star Gate SG1 is very re-watchable.
I did love this episode and it got me thinking that the Wraiths food is essentially just a transfer of energy from a human to themselves? In time i'm sure a substitute could be developed and like in the film Daybreakers the general population would be satisfied by this but those higher up would always apprieciate the 'real' thing and some humans would still be fed upon? Still better this than huge cullings? This way maybe Wraith and Human could even become allies one day?
If a enemy warrior acts with honour then it's only fair they are treated with the same honour they are still enemies but they understand eachother and their respective need to survive
If the Wraith could feed off of a cow or deer, would they basically be humans? To them the humans are the cattle, to us the cattle are the cattle and they all die to feed the other. Is it really that far fetched that the Wraith are just normal people doing what they have to do to survive?

John Sheppard has got it down for keeping a distance from Todd cause he still likes being near bad influences that can't be trusted and Rodney Just being the best pain in the Well you all know!!!; )
No he only fed on the right one, he was holding down the other. From what I understand of the wraith their right hand is the feeding arm, the left one is normal, so they only can feed on one person at a time. More than likely Todd was holding the second one down so he could feed directly afterwards.
Could do one of the last episode the conversation between Todd and Sheppard on the deadalus on there way to find the superhive and Todd says "why do you force me to wear this ridiculous outfit" please?
Do Wraith gift of life healing powers work the same as advanced human healing powers? I know it takes quite an effort and takes a toll on the user. But in this case it's consuming the food's life force and De aging the victim's life source. So is this damaging to Todd or it just works the opposite of life sucking. Does it take a concious effort?
Yes it's damaging to the wraith. They need a certain amount of life force in surplus to survive and give back life to another. Kinda like a battery I suppose. That's why he fed on the Genii before giving Sheppard his life force back. That and they were an immediate threat.
@@kierantaylor5715 so since he had extra surplus of life by feeding on two genii's he didn't look like he was going to pass out like jack when he healed brat'ac, in episode "lost city". I don't think jack's healing powers can make you younger though, just heals a wound. So if Todd had thousands of surplus food he could live on forever and give enough life to a person to make them younger? I don't think that theory is true but adult wraiths were once young like ellia in episode "instinct". Bottom line, human healing powers only heals a wound and the user takes a negative toll. Wraith powers though you can use the energy to regenerate yourself, make others younger and on top of that, if you had the surplus, it won't take a negative toll to do the latter. So wraith can't get younger by feeding but they can age for thousands of years, what if a wraith ascended and took a younger form? They will probably live forever physically that way surely? This can surely happen whether the wraith is good or bad. As seen on SG-1 episode "threads", Anubis ascended by tricking oma into helping him, by finding old research on ascension. So can an advanced human heal a wraith's wound and the wraith returns the favor by giving gift of life so he won't take a toll?
@@x18mania He did fight off 3-4, if not 5, so he took the life of 3-5, so he had a rsther decent surplus, I think. So not as harmful as you think. I mean, they're enemies. Why not feed on them all? We didn't see him feeding on them all, but it makes more sense if he did. Also, Todd is awesome.

Though the Wraith offer to let Teyla take care of Ashes, she turns him over to the other Queens in the alliance as a way of bringing a permanent end to the old feud. Presumably they executed him for his crimes.
@@WarGrowlmon18 awesome! Thank you so much! Happy New Years!
@@Mercedesxoo No problem. You too.
I watch through Star Gate Atlantis one time but since it turned into "vampires in space" I haven't really wanted to re-watch it again. Star Gate SG1 is very re-watchable.
Best villain in atlantis... love him... kinda like baal on sg1
and todd immediately was welcomed with a massive feast ;)
I MISSED TODD
Love Todd 🤘🏻💀👽👏🏻
I am loving that couple
This scene makes me rewatch the show lol
Ah yes, Ronon with his intergalactic ability to understand meters
I did love this episode and it got me thinking that the Wraiths food is essentially just a transfer of energy from a human to themselves? In time i'm sure a substitute could be developed and like in the film Daybreakers the general population would be satisfied by this but those higher up would always apprieciate the 'real' thing and some humans would still be fed upon? Still better this than huge cullings? This way maybe Wraith and Human could even become allies one day?
4:20 I guess Shep can cross "do a Batman vanish" off jis bucket list 😁
It is my favorit series. But i can find it anymore
Atlantis and sg1 are on amazon prime video
If a enemy warrior acts with honour then it's only fair they are treated with the same honour they are still enemies but they understand eachother and their respective need to survive
the wraith fight like #ChristianBale
If the Wraith could feed off of a cow or deer, would they basically be humans? To them the humans are the cattle, to us the cattle are the cattle and they all die to feed the other. Is it really that far fetched that the Wraith are just normal people doing what they have to do to survive?
Noz because that was the point. How do you deal with an enemy like that?
Bad ass show
All bets are truly off:)
He is Anti-Hero.
Without this alliance, they did nothing.
I had the gift of life when I first reared my ugly head into the world.
Your blessing's are false and deceptive.
Your blessing's are ruled only by money. You know not the power's of hell I could unleash upon you...Star.
And our brothers
Imo the Wraith were to Stargate Atlantis what the Borg were to Star Trek: TNG. Totally elevated their respective universes. I really miss this show.
I've always thought that this part was kind of funny because your hair would not turn Gray instantly But I have the full collection every season of stargate Atlantis it is my favorite at least once a month I watch every one of them
John is like a mouse to him.
A guy that lived at least 10'000 years some puny human.
I still can't get over the fact that we call him Todd...
One of the very best episodes
man looks like a metal vocalist
haha I know right, they always looked like metalheads to me lol, long hair, goatee, coat
John Sheppard has got it down for keeping a distance from Todd cause he still likes being near bad influences that can't be trusted and Rodney Just being the best pain in the Well you all know!!!; )
Amazing these people didn’t build a structure around the stargate
I never asked to be born... ...
you can have back this horrible reality known as life
So gefällt Mir das! Die starken Race! An denen sollt ihr Menschen euch die Zähne ausbeissen!
Pegasus galaxy is the origin of Aquaman who just moved to the Earth with the Atlantis city and chose to call it his home.
Still a better love story than Twilight
macabre best bromance
When they met Kolya again, they should have had him somehow reunite with Todd.
Only wraith to feed on two people at once. So badass.
No he only fed on the right one, he was holding down the other. From what I understand of the wraith their right hand is the feeding arm, the left one is normal, so they only can feed on one person at a time. More than likely Todd was holding the second one down so he could feed directly afterwards.
@@aresthecrazy9335 ahhhh
@@aresthecrazy9335 was hoping he was double fisting, does make a badass scene.
@@karlthorsten9118 Yeah he just knocked them out, might have accidentally killed one maybe but it's likely the others survived. Nom nom.
1:15 this actress look and sound just like Jlo!
Is he like chaotic energy lolz!
Aquaman on Atlantis. So funny.
Not sure how you spell his name but Kolia is Walmart Tommy Lee Jones.
I'd have beers with Todd...
Always thought the Wraith could do with being introduced to a comb.... Or conditioner D;
Damn Ronon should’ve just let the wrath give Sheppard more life he would’ve been a teenager again🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Just came from infection and they use the same music at the end did they in this episode. And parting ways.
