- Since you guys loved the first one, I did a second part!! Hope you guys enjoy!!
Todd is an alien called the wraith from the show stargate atlantis. the wraith feed on human life, but todd is usually more civilized than the other wraith and so he works with atlantis many times and he has a great sense of humor!!
As always feel free to suggest any video ideas that you have for me and I will consider making them!!

Nah. He's Ba'al through and through. He'll work with the lowly humans if need be. And he'll do what's agreed upon to the letter of their agreement. Once that's past he'll happily screw them over. And be magnificent while he does it.

Such a shame there was never a crossover with Ba'al and Todd in the same episode. The stargate universe might not survive the combined level of snark.

The game Dungeons and Dragons uses moral alignments as part of it's system. I tried to explain to other gamers how it is flawed.
That while some game races can be perceived as evil or noble... These are not very accurate.
Hostile to humans...doesn't make a character "evil". They are products of their cultures.
I got a lot of blowback on this and disagreement.
But I proved my point with my characters.
I had a Paladin...he was an orc. Hated elves and dwarves...but still acted honorably despite his personal feelings.. And an elf ranger...(all rangers are good alignment and have a race-enemy)...His race enemy was humans...And a happy go lucky little hobbit "thief"...who was actually a very evil assassin/monk.
It was fun to prove my point.
Vindication is so sweet.
Some of the group quit playing because they were so pissed .

@@darrinwebber4077 Whilst your case may stand true, there are some races that are just hard codded as evil, case in point the drow(how ever the fuck you spell it)/ dark elves, granted one of there most prominent members is a good aligned ranger, but even in the lore it is stated that he was cast out of dark elf society for his beliefs... Tho then again, the dark elfs do have a goddess that is actively trying to help them walk the path of light, and Lolth, the overlord goddess queen of the dark elves, HATES her and trys to snuff out the other goddess' worship as much as possible. Whilst on the other hand ya got orcs who also follow a hard coded chaotic evil got by the name of Gruumsh, who revels in war, death and destruction, and all of the orcs that follow him tend to be bandits, raiders or mercs, who only care about fighting and killing. But granted, there are outliers for EVERYTHING, such as your orc paladin that you mentioned. And what about me you might ask? Well! I am an unabashed player of a lawful evil undying yuan ti pureblood, warlock of Vecna who struck a bargain with the archlich him self,in exchange for his soul and service, he will get the knowledge of how to become a lich, that will if he gets strong enough, try and steal Vecnas power and become the serpent god of knowledge and secrets... At least thats my end goal for him

One of the better developed alien characters in sci-fi, honestly. Though, that's also a bit of a low bar. But Todd really was great.

@@DoremiFasolatido1979 For an occasional recurring antagonist, yes. For a show that didn't routinely feature aliens in regular roles, yes. There's a number of caveats to take into consideration, because the bar wasn't low. But Todd certainly held a special place in this show.

I grew up with sci-fi and then they became s*** it used to be one of the best channels of all time how to further ruin and butcher my childhood 101.
I am currently reading the "Legacy" novels, which continue the story of SGA after the final season. "Todd" is a recurring character, and the discription of Wraith society is really very interesting.

That's an understatement. In the Legacy novels we learn that when a wraith tries to eat "normal" food, they just throw up the undigested contents a few hours later

IMO the Legacy novels provide a logical and satisfying ending to the Atlantis series, certainly more so than the series finale of the TV series. In fact the Legacy novels pick up directly after the TV finale and seem like a natural "Season 6," albeit in book form.
But I'm just one person and my opinion certainly doesn't represent the entire fandom, so I'm genuinely curious what your thoughts on the books are
@@hfar_in_the_sky Without wanting to spoil anything, I was very dissatisfied with the way they handled the Rodney situation, and then proceeded to permanently destroy a major setting location. In my eyes, that is an absolute no-go, no matter if it's officially produced, licensed, or fanmade.
I didn't realize this character of Todd was Canadian actor, Christopher Heyerdahl, till I started watching the more recent show 'Sanctuary' in which he plays two different characters. His voice is unique, deep, sometimes gutteral - and at 6'3" tall, he's hard to miss as a character actor. Now I realize I've been seeing Heyerdahl on many shows over the years; very talented and worth watching.
Really? Of course it would have been he's an incredible actor!
Just to make ya go whoa again, you can see Christopher "Todd" Heyerdahl in Peacemaker the series.
Heyerdahl also portrays the Athosian, Halling in earlier seasons of Atlantis.
yea is really is in almost everything thats noteworthy... very skilled actor...
He had a recurring role in several of the "Twilight" movies, as well.
thinking about it, if sheppard had his way and the writers stopped for a moment and had a great idea, todd, would have been apart of sheppards team, and damn, atlantis would have got so much freeking better haha

Todd illustrates that Wraiths have complexity....not many, but they're not purely evil monsters. Excellent acting and writing.
Especially since they don't steal people's bodies and control them against their will LOL.
Wraiths are a grate idea. Very much a enemy of all humans but later they realise the benefits of human as allies against replicates.
Enemy by nature, rather then mustache twirling.
And when I first saw the wraith, I immediately thought the humans should somehow arrange a conflict between the wraith and the replicators.
Yes grate idea indeed. Those replicates were pretty nasty also.
@@SpottedHares Literally, since they have to feed on the lifeforce of Humans to survive. Apparently, if they try eating the same food as us they'll simply barf it back up undigested a few hours later. According to the Legacy Novels.
They've also could have been already useful against the goa'uld.

Honestly they are very alike probably what Todd meant when he said you are more like wraith than you know saw himself in Shepherd and probably reminded him of his younger days.

I miss this show. Who doesn't love soul sucking space vampires. A big virtual cookie to anyone who remembers what Todd's actual name is......
In the books his name is revealed as guide which is very fitting for him considering how smart and guideful he is I pretty much call him Todd the guide.
One of my favorite scenes in the series is at 8:20 when Sheppard appeals to Todd's pettiness.

Ollie in the books you saw it should have been on screen though even though there were some things in the books I did not like but from what I've read they are pretty good follow-up didn't read them personally but I've read the ideas of what happened in the books.

@@dragonmaulfulstill I would have loved the gene therapy idea better that way they can finally be free of their hunger and eat regular food and live their lives to the fullest peacefully if I were to bring the show back that's what I would do perfect Keller's idea so they can use their digestive systems without the cancerous side effect and thus The wraith are saved and free like the Jaffa.
Can someone remind me why the Wraith don't just feed on animals? Besides Humans I mean
seems there's something about sustenance that they can derive from human-derived specimen. Maybe it has something to do with how their original mutation from iratus bugs was from them taking in human traits in the first place; over a long process, maybe there's a genetic factor playing into it all. Would explain why, to some extend, they can feed on each other.
@@patrickschulz2193 its the original mutation from the iratus bug, the mutation formed bc the bugs were consuming humans, and the mutation began to require that type of nutrients, or some such similar, but yea its the mutation thing
@@patrickschulz2193yes especially since the ancients created the wraith intentionally to achieve immortality in case they couldn't ascend still I don't know why for sure they chose the iratus bugs for the genetic splicing on the first generation of The wraith that were once humans while the rest would be purely born wraith even though different they would still have hatred for the ancients to being passed down genetically.
Not really mutation but rather intentionally design since its reveal the ancients created The wraith literally creating their own enemy like the cog in gears of War did as they also created the locusts in a similar way and that's why both wraith and locust hate humans and their universes even though for the locust it was more about being abused while the the wraith hatred was passed down genetically never ending the grudge against their creators in either case I don't blame any of them at all and yet I am human unfortunately.
