- Today we create a world of natural beauty and solace, by hiking up to Lake Blanche in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Millcreek Utah. Lake Blanche is one of Utahs most popular hikes. It is one of the most frequented tails on the Wasatch Front. That being said, once you hike up there, you can find many quiet places where all you hear is nature.

It’s so incredibly beautiful here. I don’t think I could every leave my mountains. I’ve lived here my whole life and never knew you could get to Lake Blanch from that trail. I’ve always hiked to Blanch via the lower lakes trail out of Brighton Ski resort. Kellie and I will have to try it this weekend.
I am glad you liked the video! It's a good one! It'll take your breathe away, literally. haha. But very worth it! There is a link in the description on how to get to the trail head. Check the all trails link. :)
I'm coming up from AZ to backpack that (and spend some time in the SLC area) in 2 weeks. So excited.
It is a pretty convenient spot to get away to. You can get isolated but still get back to town pretty quick. When you get to the lake you can keep going a lil to the west and get to the other lakes, they are usually a lil more separated from the main traffic. Tag me on IG and I'll share your pics (if you use social media) haha. Would love to hear your take on the trail!

This was super helpful! I was headed there tomorrow . I was curious when they legally allow us to show up in AM to start hiking the trail? I did an hour up with my fiancee on that trail but we had plans for the afternoon, so I wanted to go first thing in AM to maybe catch up sunrise
Ive never done that one but it looks awesome! Definitely miss the mountains
I imagine the AZ mountains are a bit different.. haha You're in Phoenix right?
It's a good hike. If ya come up we should go!
@@ChrisCreatesTheWorld Yeah in Phoenix! Definitely, that would be awesome!
2024, All trails says 7 miles
Are there really steep or slippery sections? Are there sections where you are walking on a cliff or steep drop?
Hey Jen!
Thanks for your questions.
It definitely has quite a bit of elevation gain, that is why AllTrails rates it as difficult. That being said, I saw people of all skill levels on the trail. Just take plenty of water (and some snacks) and take all the breaks you need.
I would not describe the trail as slippery. There is a brief section of rocks though (skip to 2:56) and some rocks at the top (3:15), but if you make it that far it is nothing you can't handle!
Definitely check out the AllTrails app if you want some more reviews. People give updates on there all the time.
Hope that helped! :)
@@ChrisCreatesTheWorld I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! It's helpful!
Is it worth what?
