    I’m a boat (biggest ones) captain on Mississippi River.
    Enjoying this.
    Impressed with willingness to “cast off bowlines”, and taking on this adventure.
    That’s living, folks.
    Subscribed and look forward to watching more. 👍🏻

    Would you consider adding your docking fees at all your different marinas just so those of us in the wishing stage can understand what's ahead? Good luck!

      Good idea, we can do that in the future. I believe this one was $1.50 a foot.

    We have a 2006 silverton 430 and we learned the hard way like you described. Since our boats doesn't have a mid cleat we tie off to the bollard in the rear cleat next to the rear doors. We ask the lockmaster for an additional line to tie off to the cleat you described at the bottom of the front stairs. If they cant provide the line then I just use the forward thruster to keep the front from swinging around. Hope this helps

      Thank you, that is pretty much the way we figured out would work best.

    Hey guys , nice video! I was speaking with you when we left cedar key the other day on Southern Estate (we where crewing), we got off in Tarpon Springs and are exploring Clearwater this week. We are exploring the loop or live aboard south with our Carver 3607. We live in Kingston, ON right at the thousand islands , if your up that way this summer , look us up if you need anything . • @melissafitzpatrick9956
      @melissafitzpatrick9956 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zero experience. We did hire a training captain to teach us how to maneuver the boat, anchor etc but this is all new to us.

    Looking at the 43. What is your gph at 10 knots and then at cruising?

    • @melissafitzpatrick9956
      @melissafitzpatrick9956 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our sweet spot is around 8.25 knots. We are getting about 1.5 smpg. We are not running as efficient as we could, need prop work, and bottom cleaning.

    In Kentucky, I assume you're talking Fahrenheit... 14 is chilly.

    • @melissafitzpatrick9956
      @melissafitzpatrick9956 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes fahrenheit, it was 14 in the morning at Demopolis AL. It was during that cold freeze most of the country was experiencing during Christmas. That's just toooooooo cold.
