    Scarbee is an excellent developer. I'd love to see you compare this to Orange Tree Samples' Evolution Rickenbacker bass and get your take on the strengths and weaknesses of each when comparing the two.

    You can also do polyphonic slides by playing a chord , holding sustain pedal (CC64) and then choosing another single note down or up from the chord... as long as the new notes can still be played on the original respective strings it will work. New note velocity determines speed of slide.

  • @bill4510
    @bill4510 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it consistent across the keyboard, tone and volume wise?
    How consistent is the tone between velocity layers?
    I'd like to hear how it responds, when playing fast repeated notes, think yes
    "heart of the sunrise".

    Have to agree Russ, NI once again I'm impressed and cheers Russ for the lightening quick review

    This thing is amazing. When I pulled it up in Komplete Ultimate 9 I could not stop playing it. I think I had just as much fun with this as I did with Studio Drummer if not more so. I dont play bass but this will definitely give me the edge I been looking for in comparison to my other bass plugins. There are some presets in here that remind me of that Usher song "Throwback". I have been trying to find a plugin for so long to give me that sound. This paired with my PRS will keep me real busy.

    This is actually really nice!! I normally stay away from bass/guitar samplers but this is absolutely stunning! I'm very impressed.

    Yes, I bought the Rickenbacker and use -30ms. Is -33ms even more precise?

  • @seansaccount101
    @seansaccount101 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    By far the best bass guitar VSTi I've heard yet

  •  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    It has something that makes it sound more real but also presents some delay, I always put it -33ms on it...

  • @refrigo5067
    @refrigo5067 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Isn't there a let ring mode like modo bass, to let the strings go without stopping the sound?

  • @monterosamusic
    @monterosamusic 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    NI is quite incredible. I'm about to record a few tracks and will use some of the drums sounds. This bass is pretty killer. Great one man! Cheers.

    I 100% agree that this is a beautiful bass full stop regardless.

  • @synchronizerman
    @synchronizerman 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you were playing the Jam music, the bass seemed to have trouble keeping up with the beat. Does the Scarbee Rickenbacker have some sort of delay?

    Can you route the pickups to two different amps while using Rick-O-Sound? I think that's what Chris Squire did on those Yes records, sometimes with the bridge pickup sent through a tube guitar amp

    • @stevejamieson7589
      @stevejamieson7589 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No - send to two separate mono channels and use Guitar Rig or TH3 etc on each channel.

  • @Hifcrea
    @Hifcrea 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    how do you strum one note. so that it doesnt sound like im picking stopping and picking. I just want the bass to ring out with the sound of the strumming the one note

  • @synchronizerman
    @synchronizerman 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm waiting for Orange Tree Samples's Rickenbacker sample library before I make my choice. It's going to be difficult.

  • @mbareCT666

    absolutely love the huge variety of sounds! This is one of the reasons I am going to buy the entire bundle. However..I do not really like the tape saturation..sounds fake.

    Orange Tree's doing one too? Jeez. That'll be killer. Iconic Jaco is sublime.

    so if i have midi controller only with 2 octaves, there's no melisms for me?

  • @Trevaland02
    @Trevaland02 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    My midi controller has no keyboard sensitive control so is there any other way to play harmonics other than playing it softly?
    Thanks.

  • @seven0929

    Can I trigger it with a .wave file on reaper? My goal is to use this as vst to enhance my crappy bass guitar sound, so I need to use it as vst without a midi controller.

      No, you must have a midi track.

    The track you demoed it with could really benefit from Abbey Road | 50's Drummer. It would be a match made in heaven. I own them both, so I know first hand ;)

    Does this only play in standard tuning or can you play notes lower than standard?

  • @pitchblack480
    @pitchblack480 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you know how to program it to do alternate-picking?
    I've tried alternating C0 & C1 up/down-stroke triggers, but it seems I'm doing it wrong.
    Can anyone help me?

    • @stevejamieson7589
      @stevejamieson7589 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you play quick enough, it will emulate alternate picking - it is very intuitive - conversely you can force it to play up or down only...

      1. Make sure that the upper and lower notes can be achieved on one string. 2. Select the appropriate string using the Keyswitch. 3. Play first note and hold. 4. Depress pedal (CC64). 5. Play second Note and slide will happen. NB - the second note velocity will adjust speed of slide. Good Luck! This is by far the best VSTi for Rick out there...:)

    In the loops high notes, has been played very bad. no humanization atack! But the best recommend for me is a play executing the bass manually, for a full feeling performance. This is very impoortant, in different music genres recordind, the musician need a control from the expression notes and silences counter-times!

    Anyone know why half of my notes are being played as pickup claps?

    • @stevejamieson7589
      @stevejamieson7589 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pick up claps are only played on Bflat 1, or your velocity is very low...

      16YearsInHell You can artificially tune any Kontakt instrument within Kontakt using the tune knob. This simply pitches down/up existing samples.
