Of course she did. He doesn't know what happened to her, if he killed her or if she was still living. Plus - she was his girl....his to keep or to kill......and she slipped through his fingers, she got away from him.

I was a huge fan of this series (book) in high school before the first movie came out and now as an adult after more than 10 years, I finally understand his pain. The whole Hunger Games is still not justifiable, but he was just once a young man who loved so deeply and felt betrayed by the same person which shaped him into this kind of character 😭
I don't know how much it can be said that she changed him....didn't he say he preferred her being in the cage they'd put the tributes in in the capitol because then he'd always know where she was and who she was with? In any case....no matter how much we loved someone or how deeply they hurt us, it hardly justifies forcing others into prostitution by holding their loved ones hostage.

That’s the tragedy! He was an entitled capitol brat through and through, even when he experienced first hand what it was like to be deprived, what it was like to choose between killing and surviving, when his body literally sent him signals all throughout the book that the politics of the capitol were taking a toll on him. The only times he didn’t need to pretend (apart from Tigris) was with Lucy Gray and Sejanus, and HE IGNORED IT because he was so focused on the fact that everything was out to get him! He didn’t even ponder on it! I watched the movie yesterday. I've never been a big fan of the Hunger Games film franchise. But this, in particular, is so... Poetic? In so many ways, but mainly, in symbolism. It's beautiful to watch, I was genuinely moved. They had such a great dynamic, but he wasted it all for an ambition. They could have had a life together, but he chose to live a life with power. I imagine he regretted it a lot in the end. If he still remembers her after all these years, he must have been tormented by the choice he made his whole life since then. And the worst, he couldn't make amends for what he did.
I watched Catching Fire again last night and thought the SAME exact thing. That wistful, distant and sorroful look in his eyes. Its amazing he was able to portray that without his backstory being known yet.

She betrayed him, clearly you haven't read it lmao. The situation is left open to interpretation, but if you're anormal person rather than biased towards the WHAMAN it's obvious she did. She didn't even give him a chance to talk it out, nor was he going to kill her until she set the snake trap on him.
The prequel made me feel so much more than the other movies did. Don’t get me wrong they were amazing but a ballad of songbirds and snakes made me so happy and so sad and it’s on a different level.
too sad for him, he kept himself out of love and died without loving. he took 'brain over heart' seriously to his death. 😔🥺😭 what could have changed if he pursued lucy gray?
President snow put cameras in the woods the last place he saw Lucy gray and after 60 years Lucy turned off the camera and got her revenge but he always loved Lucy and he tried to find her
In my opinion snow was always a monster, he wanted power. Sure he “cared” about Lucy gray in his own little mind, but for me he wanted to posses her, own her he was obsessed even in the books, his internal dialogue is fucked. He killed his first victim, he called it “Powerful”, he lied countless times to Lucy Gray, also killing his best friend. He never wanted to run away with Lucy, he never cared about leaving her either, didn’t even bother to tell her. After knowing about the guns, he again didn’t think twice about going to the capitol instead of forgetting about the guns and leaving, Lucy’s final test and straw, when she finally decides to leave him escaping. He finally cracks revealing his true self when he gets bitten by the snake, no more nice guy, loss of control… power. He tries to kill Lucy Gray but will never know if she died or not. Now, I don't know why he changed to go to district 12 if he cared about her. (This makes me think he's either a sociopath or a narc) He feels these emotions, he probably even actually believed he cared about her. He cares about power far more. Doesn't care about who suffers, who dies. He wants to be Victor. Ultimately ending up like his father, the way his cousin describes it.
Having read the book, I don’t think Snow was always a monster. At some point he did actually care for Lucy gray but after he killed Bobbin and Dr Gaul let him go to District 12 everything unravelled. I am absolutely not defending his actions, but in the book he was freaking out about sending the jabberjay to the Capitol and felt so guilty about condemning Sejanus- and he didn’t even think it would get Sejanus hung. He thought Sejanus’ father would buy him his was out of it. As for Lucy Gray, he wanted to run away with her because he was afraid of first- Someone finding the guns and SECOND- Lucy gray. He was already crazy at that point but I don’t think he truly became the monster until he shot at her in the woods and returned to the Capitol
I think he had issues from growing up in war and then Gaul got her hands on him and made him one of her muttations. Gaul created aberrants to nature. Lucy is pure nature. When Lucy gray disappears Coriolanus' pure self disappears with her to be replaced with Gaul's monster.
I know snow was bad but i feel bad for the little girl they where also talking about putting ger in the hunger games she was innocent and pure Edit:her

as he demonstrated every time he forced a victor into prostitution by threatening someone they loved
too sad for him, he kept himself out of love and died without loving. he took 'brain over heart' seriously to his death. 😔🥺😭 what could have changed if he pursued lucy gray?
Idk but when i saw the way he changed, i had the feeling that this character’s so real 😅
Song is "as the world caves in" by Matt Maltese. But i think the song is a little bit edited.
How do you do that overlay thing? Btw love the edit
Ahora todo tiene sentido, porque snow lloró
That cut deep.

I feel so sad watching this Scene…😢
I fucking loved this movie. I’m a little late but holy smokes, closet character to anakin sky walker
(This makes me think he's either a sociopath or a narc)
He feels these emotions, he probably even actually believed he cared about her.
Lucy Grey broke his heart and unetentionally turn him into a monster.
He stalked her through the woods with a gun!@@snowsnow1162
The ballad of songbirds and snakes was created after the original saga, so basically lucy grey didnt exist for quite a long time
I know snow was bad but i feel bad for the little girl they where also talking about putting ger in the hunger games she was innocent and pure
Edit:her
Snow always lands on top
