Dave. I have a question: Why are did u use the base plate of a NL licenseplate in front of the RS2? Do you have a dutch connection? I am sure it have something do to with your surname... tnx!
Yes, Dave is one of these Canadians that likes to show off how "Euro" he is! I know he had gotten a lot of questions about the NL front plate. In Alberta, front plates aren't required so it's not uncommon to see people sporting plates from countries of their heritage. I have one friend who has a Latvian plate on his Lexus.

Hi George. I don't paint correct in one day. I'm like you, it takes me a lot of time. Thanks for the video. As for your question, I find every PPF has its own "personality" for lack of a better word. They all react differently to things. For instance, I used GTechniq's Panel Wipe on my old 3M film and it immediately clouded it up and I could never get it fixed. I hesitate to advise you on what your PPF can handle. Just found your channel and love it! Do you recommened anything to do to winter protect your car during our harsh canadian (salty) winters? I drive a rcf and definitely want to protect it as much as possible!
I put a fresh coat of ceramic protection on my car in the Fall so it has some semblance of protection during the winter. That, and I have the front clip fully PPF'd. Other than that, I try to wash it as often as the weather allows. It's tough going. If you were in Calgary I would LOVE to get my hands on your RCF. Those are gnarly!
Sweet! Thank you for your time and suggestions. Will definitely do that from now on. I use to live in Calgary down in china town! Miss that city! Living in toronto now. Also purchased some ethos detailing spray! Keep up the awesome work brother. Hope to one day have you detail my car!
Very nice car! Even here in germany they are very rare meanwhile. I live near Ingolstadt and the last time I saw one on the streets is around two years ago... Take good care about it!
If it were my car I would be sure to take great care of it. The owner has a great instagram channel and you can see he truly loves and appreciates it. @blau_rs2
Not strange at all It’s a rather straightforward process. You will see snippets of me in action in this video: th-cam.com/video/qGkMAvh1ARo/w-d-xo.html
Hi Rick! Cool shoes!! In Canada it’s very rare probably to see r6 avant. But in uk and Europe there are a lot of Audi r6 avant- of different ages. I travel a lot to Germany and Italy and in Germany I’ve seen on autobahn loads of them. Impressive cars!! from the Audi r6 it’s the 2015 onwards for me! The ones with the big oval exhaust tips!! 👍💪
Avant's don't typically sell well here. There are those enthusiasts who covet them, but the majority of buyers here prefer small to mid-size SUV's. More Toyota RAV4's and Honda CRV's than one can shake a stick at.
I have something better than a slider. I have a motorized caddy that runs off a remote control so I can do some really nice moving shots while I detail. I highly recommend one. I use a Sony a6000, nothing fancy but I am going to see about getting an even better lens for it.
@@RADGarage Oh I like them and they're well suited to the (stunning) car, I just wasn't sure if perhaps the Canadian models had a different spec. Thanks for the reply :)
Interesting... so Canada never saw the RS6 till just recently (2019) from what I understand (like the US) ...was the RS2 sold new in Canada at the time?, ...Dave has an ultimate collection by the sounds.
No, the RS2 was never sold here either. I don't think the latest version of the RS6 has landed here yet. At least you can import cars to Canada after they are only 15 years old, unlike the 25 year rule in the US.
Not a big audi-fan at all, but thats one cool car! How was the condition of the paintwork? And did it have some form of protection? Looked like it beaded water pretty good :)
The paint could use a mild correction, but with a car of this age I am somewhat hesitant to do that. I have zero experience with older cars. I know where my limits are and I don't want to push them with this amazing piece of history. I finished the wash with a spritz of DEFY by Ethos and that little spray is really growing on me. So, besides that this car is unprotected in terms of a coating.
What are your thoughts on the Ethos Defy? i just bought 3 bottles and i was just curious? i know Brian at Apex loves it. Thanks for your input. Great job on the RS2, Beautiful Car!!
I love it. I tried P&S Paint Gloss Spray (name?) and it didn't do as good a job as the Defy at bringing gloss and slickness to the paint. I am eagerly awaiting the release of what is going to be an even better finish spray by Ethos. Tim was telling me about "Resist". He says it is going to blow me away, and I have good reason to trust he will be right!
Watching this after Doug Demuro's video revealing he has bought this car! 👍

Please sir can i ask what is better or what you use to clean windows specially on inside : (paper towels or fluffy cotton textile ?) the problem i need to solve is that after washing when the car is dry in-out but when the air conditioned is used on the inside the glasses get steamy by the air blowing leaving nasty trails that gives a foggy looking sight specially when the car is used during the night).Tanks in advance, look forward for anyone who can help me.. great video ! ;0)
Not sure where you are in the world but do you have access to a quality detailing product provider? I suggest getting a few high quality microfiber towels designed specifically for glass.
@@RADGarage tanks for fast response, i'll try to find in my area those if not maybe i will try from e-bay or online shop.. anyway, tanks again, be safe.. cheers ! ;0)
Great job again
morpheus Thanks. It was a great day.
Truly amazing 👍🏻
Veng Thanks Veng. Always appreciate your supportive comments.
Dream rs2....
There's one on Bring a Trailer right now! I think it was at $42,000 last time I checked with six days remaining! Same gorgeous RS Blue colour.
I had to double check the channel I clicked on with today's opening. I was waiting to hear "It' s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Won't you be my neighbor?" :)
Indeed, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. A beautiful day for detailing!
Nice work dude. Those are exceptional vehicles.
They are!
@@pngo481 Anything is possible in this strange and wonderful car/detailing/garage world!
@blau_rs2
I know this is a strange comment, but I'd love to see your camera slider in action. Your dolly shots are RAD!
Not strange at all It’s a rather straightforward process. You will see snippets of me in action in this video: th-cam.com/video/qGkMAvh1ARo/w-d-xo.html
@RADGarage ok I'll check it out.
@@RADGarage that was great!
Thanks, the team at Dr. Beasley's did such a good job with that interview!
Man you have a sweet garage and do beautiful work. Just subscribed to your channel 👍
Thanks. It has been a passion of mine since we moved in almost 10 years ago. Thanks for subscribing. I really appreciate it.
@@RADGarage 👍💪
Geweldige auto en super resultaat!
Bedankt! 🤘
Did you use a camera slider ? What camera did you use ?
I have something better than a slider. I have a motorized caddy that runs off a remote control so I can do some really nice moving shots while I detail. I highly recommend one. I use a Sony a6000, nothing fancy but I am going to see about getting an even better lens for it.
Great video as always. Love your channel
Thanks. I really enjoy the combination of detailing and videography.
RAD GARAGE I can tell I try but it’s a lot of work, it’s time consuming
Legendary car,
What is the story behind the Dutch number plate?
Defiansy Dave has Dutch blood.
THISSSSS!
Is a 1994 Audi RS2 and it’s my...
Brilliant video, stunning car, but shouldn't it have either Porsche Cup or Audi Avus wheels on it for full authenticity?
By no means am I an expert on these cars, but I believe the wheels on this car are widely "accepted" by the enthusiasts even though they aren't OEM.
@@RADGarage Oh I like them and they're well suited to the (stunning) car, I just wasn't sure if perhaps the Canadian models had a different spec. Thanks for the reply :)
There were no Canadian models. This one came to Canada via Japan. I think the owner has the cup wheels as well, but I could be wrong.
That IS Special!
I felt like I was in the presence of automotive royalty!
We NEED to see that Misano RS5!!
Andi Wand Agreed. I’ll get it in here soon.
Did you see the Misano Red RS5 detail video?
@@RADGarage i‘m going to have to watch it!!
@@AndiWand911 I think you’ll enjoy it.
@@RADGarage First Thing i‘ll do After work today! I have a misano C5 Avant. This colour is one of audis best by far!
does the family take it in turns to sneak up on you, when you've got the headphones on? stunning job as always mate.
therushden They wouldn’t dare disturb me when I’m in the zone!
Hello Rick nice vídeo i love wagon , Avant Cars you no my personal car is the mk1 Ford focus avant salut from Portugal 🇵🇹 💯✨✨✨✨✨
There is something so special about a sporty wagon. North American doesn't get many cool avants, so that's make them even more special in my mind.
14:49 hello :D
Wassup?
I was only messing mate ;) its your look that got my attention :) nothing serious :) cheers 👍🏼👍🏼
Oh, that's hilarious. I just noticed the "side eye" to the camera!
@@RADGarage i was only joking man :) i am watching your clips for time to time :) good material
I appreciate it. 🤘
That old Rs2 is ten times cooler then Rs6
They are both cool in their own ways. I would easily take either!
Perfection 👍
Glad you think so!
What slider are you using?
A remotely controlled motorized dolly. It is so awesome. www.thecamerastore.com/16205-Yelangu-L4X-Motorized-Dolly.aspx
So why the NL Plate?
Han van der Pluim Owner must have Dutch ties.
@@RADGarage thanks for the reply. Great detail BTW ! Keep IT up 😁
Han van der Pluim bedankt
Geiler Rs2 😍😍😍
It has a new home now. He shipped it out last week. 😥
RAD GARAGE it's a shame, it's still such a nice car
I"m just glad I had some time with it!
A truly amazing piece of engineering for him to put Firestone tyres on it..!! 🙆🏻🤮
Everyone's a critic! 🧐
Dutch license plates? That's not every day you see these in the US :)
Much less Canada! It’s now in the US though.
Hey Dude shoes? Any relation to the Nickelodeon TV show?
I don't think so. They are a super light shoe and I love the ease of use, but they don't really stand up well to the abuse I throw their way.
You can try Japonic trade for buy auction cars
I don't know what that means.
nice detailing
Thanks!
