The princes gather in the capital for Cihangir's sword girding ceremony. High winds bluster among the brothers who come together after years, especially between Selim and Bayezid. The fact that Mustafa has been welcomed effusively by the janissaries resonates with the palace. Rüstem doesn't hesitate to use this against the prince.
Meanwhile, a Venetian odalisque who has been presented as a gift to the palace draws attention with her beauty. This woman will change not only hers but also the destiny of the royal family.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Nurbanu is just weird taking on Huricihan IMO. Huricihan has dynastic blood. She's Suleiman's niece, a granddaughter of Selim I. Nurbanu's "power" comes from her son, but if something were to happen to Murad, her title would be reduced back to 'hatun.' Huricihan doesn't need to bare a son to be a member of the dynasty. She's family already.
But Nurbanu is more powerful and smarter than her Let's face it

I never understood this either, especially with Fatma and Nurbanu become close. It’s like umm Huricihan is the niece of the Sultan and Fatima’s niece as well why would Nurbanu ever trust her.

It's so sad Mustafa and his son are missing because they're clearly dead. I didn't watch the whole series but I am sure everyone has forgotten them in this episode. Even Cihangir and Mehmat are memories no one remembers. 😣
Even though Hurichihan has "more power" than Nurbanu. Nurbanu holds 2 things over her that made the whole rivalry a huge thing.
1: Hurrem picked Nurbanu personally and hated Hurichihan because she was dangerous to Beyazid. Thus Hurrem was on Nurbanu's side way more than Hurichihan.
2: Nurbanu knew Hurichihan and Beyazid's love would cause their death if found out. So she held it above her head all the time.
Huricuhan is like hatice, like mother like daughter the ending too :)
Hatice killed herself in the TV show because in real life she died physically. This is just a drama ( soap opera) and as you said me : don't trust the serial.

the problem of course, is the Ottoman succession law which technically allows any son a chance of becoming sultan instead of a clear line of succession and to preserve the dynasty allows the winning sultan of this free for all to kill his brothers to prevent any threat to the stability of the sultan's rule. Suleiman for his moniker "The Lawgiver" didn't address this, and it was up to Ahmed I (Kosem's husband) to repeal this fratricide law

Something I never understood was how Selim's son was younger than Bayecid's many sons and then suddenly he becomes older than them or the same age.
Yesss there are a few such glitches in the show that are incomprehensible
