- The Envoy is probably one of my favourite boards... like ever. I really wanted to do it in some custom colors for everyone, in particular a light stone and orange which I have absolutely fallen in love with. I also asked Mode to collab with me on some custom Obscura switches, with lighter springs. I'm in love with the board. I hope you all like it! It should come out in August.

I’m so tempted to get one of these. More people should make orange boards it’s such an underrated color
strange to hear PBT described as glassy and GMK as deep. I have always heard people say the opposite, and have definitely found the opposite to be true in my experience.
Same here, pbt usually sounds a bit more muted / low pitched in my experience, though I don’t have any GMK ABS sets on hand, and most of my PBT sets are mid-tier quality. I figure it’s also gotta be very keyboard mounting style / plate material / switch dependent as well
@@ImOnMy116 I have 5 or 6 gmk on hand and a few high end PBT and I have had the same experience
GMK is definitely higher pitched and livelier sounding in my experience. It's the main reason I prefer GMK over high quality PBT sets like CRP, even though ABS shines more quickly.
PBT sounds almost throaty and like it brings out glassy or hollow tones in boards, especially 21kb. Will never buy another PBT set, ABS just always winning
The difference between a obt and abs keycaps are minimal when all other factors are held constant. A bit lower pitched for PBT is all. There's a reason even GMK is moving to new profiles and using PBT. A lot of what people "perceive" and pass around as facts aren't supported by actual data and when put under real scrutiny by actual experts fall apart quickly.
I swore I would not get another board in 2023, but you are making it super hard to NOT get an Envoy!

nice colour. I wish i could have got it because it has an orange accent. BUT ive already ordered my Envoy and I can't wait till it get into my hands. Im completly done with keyboards now. Would be great to get those switches seperatly though.

To add on the comment that it has Tatooine vibes. Kaiju is just so perfect that honestly this is the defacto GMK Boba Fett for me. IDK why but this is much cooler than the GMK Boba Fett itself.

I was disappointed that this version was only offered with hot-swap, but luckily it's available with 7u regardless of PCB.

Hey dude you should do a garage sell for those mode switch pullers thehe.
Hotswap only makes sense, especially for a collab (limited presumably?). As long as manu’s are doing hotswap PCB’s w/stepped caps support, I feel its kinda perfect haha. It’s harder to justify solder, when you lose convenience and/or increase cost by mill-max’ing yourself.

Shesh that orange and white colorscheme is so good i like it, and keep up the good work.
Kaiju was great for this, but I do still think Yuri would've been a bit of a nicer match, though it is bluer and colder, so maybe Kaiju was a better choice to match the linen coat on the case
Also agree, more orange on keyboards. Only makers to really do it as of recently are the Wind boards and the Bulwark, the latter of which did it better

PBT for me always sounds more plasticky and brittle

How do you spend so much time and money on keyboards and not learn how to touchtype? That's like spending a lot of money on a racecar and only driving it around a parking lot. Like buying a beautiful piano but never learning how to play anything beyond "chopsticks". Level up! You get to spend time utilizing your favorite hobby and improve your own skills that are applicable in the real world.
