Hi thanks for sharing this-- how did you customize your tool box with so many unique tools? What do all those do, and how do you install? I've never seen some of them before (like the butterfly, the dice, etc)

Hi there! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial 😊 Those extra tools come from the Astute Graphics plugin suite, they do a variety of things. It's paid plugin set but they do have some free plugins and a trial for the whole set: astutegraphics.com/

Oh my God. I'm about to pull my fucking hair out. I can't figure out how to move the whole gradient. As in, shift it, without fucking around with the shit inside of it. Just wanna shift it. I search and I search, and it's all useless drivel about where to select colors. Please help.

Hey Amir, I'm sorry you are having such a frustrating time with this, I have been there!
To move the entire gradient without messing with any of the color stops you need to select your gradient filled object with the selection tool, then select the Gradient tool from the tool bar so that your annotation tool (the bar with the circles) pops up on the object. From there you should be able to click and drag directly on the white bar to move the entire gradient like this: imgur.com/n8DeVS5
Keep in mind this works for linear or radial gradients only, as far as I know there is no way to do this with a freeform gradient.
I really hope that helps, if you run into any other Illustrator quirks that are a pain to Google let me know!
