"Today is the day" is one of my fav Lovebites songs, it has a really infectious main riff. This concert was performed back in 2021 during the middle of the pandemic and it was COVID-restricted. The audience was fully-masked and was only allowed to clap. On top of that, Miyako was 4-5 months pregnant at that point in time.
Due to the effects of the pandemic, performances in Japan during this period require all audience members and staff to wear masks, shouting loudly and having close contact are prohibited, and the only way to express admiration for the artist is by clapping and raising your hands.
Still painful for me to see Miho when she was happy in the band. As great Fami is , I still miss Miho, being the founder and all. I hope she finds a new permanent band to energize.
MIYAKO is electric guitar genius and also PIANO player genius.
Agree. Midori is a great shredder but as long as I listened to her playing the guitar I didn't find any unique characteristics in her guitar playing and guitar tone. Don't get me wrong Midori is a great guitarist and has amazing skills. But as we know, several legendary guitarists such as Yngwie, Joe Satrianie, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Van Hallen etc. Each of them has unique playing characteristics so that we can guess them just by listening to their playing even without needing to see who is playing the guitar. Likewise, Miyako has characteristics of guitar tone settings and playing that are different from guitarists in general. Her habit of experimenting with tools made her find what she wanted.
@@I-MAC Your legendary guitarist is not for everyone. You left some more legendary guitarist. In your time they are, in my time are others, and now some others. Miyako and Midori among others.
If you like Talent and Metal, these ladies are simply the best that the 21st century has produced!

Welcome back to Lovebites. This concert was performed under strict Covid regulations with only 50% audience capacity, mandatory masks and no shouting or Cheering.
Miyako was several months pregnant at the time giving birth to a daughter later that year. Asami also had a baby not too long after. These girls are tough !

The great M&Ms have left me impressed. I don't know what to say about them anymore, I don't find among men such an imaginative and virtuous duo. Haruna and Miho, as always, driving the locomotive with speed and safety and Asami......spectacular voice, ideal for these girls and really beautiful...I couldn't stop looking at her, she is an operations director who dominates the stage to perfection.

Thanks guys, this is one of my favourites from Lovebites, and hasn't always had the attention it deserves. That sequence in the final verse when Haruna smiles at the camera while doing repeated stick twirls is priceless. She's like, wow this song is a doddle, I can chill out! It seems effortless, and yet she keeps up that pace up for 2 hours, just remarkable. Add the M&M solos and Asami on piano, and this one's a winner.

Watch as Asami finishes singing. I’m pretty sure she suddenly realises she needs to be several feet away, sans microphone. I’ve watched it over and over and I think she begins playing the second she reaches the piano, no wriggle room. Class.

Miyako's solo is just downright beautiful. Then notice that pinch harmonic Miyako throws on with her backing rhythm during Midori's solo. It's just as Midori is finishing the first half of it and Miyako adds a pinch harmonic that accents it perfectly.

All 5 of the Lady Wolves play the piano. It's nice to see them flex that with Asami playing occasionally. But, I think we all know why Miyako is the main pianist :0) .
All the ladies can play the piano, not at Miyako's level, but they all can play the piano.
Asami also plays piano on “We The United”, which for some inexplicable reason, isn’t on your Lovebites playlist 😅
You're wrong on the Dean Miyako is playing. I have the EXACT same guitar from the same limited edition run. The guitar came with the 3 pickups exactly as you see it here. It is a Dean ML Switchblade made in 2010 and 100 were made in a limited edition run - mine is #60. As far as I know her guitar is unmodified.
According to the owners of the blog, Asami only serves to advertise toothpaste, her vocal is apparently non-existent for them.
All of them can play piano, we've seen Asami playing some notes in 3 songs ("Today Is The Day", "We The United", "Lost In The Garden"), and Miyako is the one at piano concert level. But they've learned it all quite early, e.g. Midori started at age of 2 (18 years before guitar), Miyako at 3.
