Take the heat shield out underneath the truck and you can reach right up and unclip it on 4x4 you’ll have to unbolt the front driveline to get your head up in there to see it 👍 I have a video on my channel on how to do the 03
Even better! install 12'' hydraulic hose and extend the pigtail they used to sell the icp relocation kit, or just make it also dont use a 03' icp they fail the 04up work fine
I didn't know they made a relocation kit. I have thought of doing it myself but wasn't sure if it would work. Maybe I'll give that a shot. 3 years into this truck and this ICP has always been a pain in the ass
@@fordsix-oh Oh yeah! I was lucky before I studded the motor I bought a garage full of parts off a guy for few hundred so I had everything to swap the heads, rocker boxes, covers and wavy style rails, so my ICP is located in the cover now. But when I first got my truck first year was hell must have swapped it out half dozen tmes chasing phantoms lol
For me the only symptom was a slightly odd idle and a very small lack of power on takeoff, for others it can be a compete no start. I replaced this ICP and have already blown the new one so I'm about to change it again once I confirm there is no wiring issue which i don't believe there is FYI everytime you take this sensor out it gets easier I can get this thing out really easy now. Be careful of injector plug. I broke one the first time.
My 2003 6.0 once it’s hot will sometimes idle a little strange. The RPM will go up and down slightly. You can hear it audibly and physically. Only after it’s been driving for a while and the engine bay is hot. I’ve already replaced the sensor and entire engine harness. Never fixed it. It’s a weird quirk and I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve seen folks with 2003’s report this issue.
As a person who was literally asking the question of unclipping it. I thank you greatly.
Thank you for this video! This thing was kickin my butt until I saw this...

very good master
Damn bud how many flash lights did that truck eat?
Thank you! Hard to tell where the shit it is on an 03 lol
That’s your IPR the your ICP is on the passenger side
Not on a 2003 they are both behind the turbo
I don’t find it 2006 f250
What were the symptoms?

Can't get to come loosen
Might be able to (carefully) use a flat head screwdriver to slip under the clip and push it off from passenger side behind turbo
