today i went to luna cycle in el segundo california to buy a brand new 2022 surron light bee x black edition electric dirt bike. they make a lot of cool other stuff too like folding bikes, emtb, electric mountain bikes with throttles and more. then i took the bike on its first ride around in the streets of los angeles and do a quick top or high speed test, a mild range test, and talk about whats next with the dirt bike along with future upgrades to the motor, battery, brakes, handlebars, seat and other things.
That sales guy is DOPED out of his mind lmao.

John, if you have a GoPro that isn't too old you can overlay GPS Data such as speed, direction, and mapping on your videos. That would look amazing in your new Sur Ron videos. :-)

Hi, if you want less power, you can Always re-clamp it, all you have to do is put some terminals on the little green wire that the seller cut and that's it, you clamp and un-clamp very quickly depending on your use. Good ride yours

lol on another note, I'm not sure your aware but riding bicycles on the sidewalks is actually illigal in most places I'm aware of, sidewalks are just for people, they made it that way because bicyclists we're hitting pedestrians 😓

Also- residential neighborhoods are 25mph in most places. It appears as though you’re speeding which is illegal. Perhaps reconnecting the governor will help you to stay safe and sane. Drink lots of water, don’t do drugs, and just have fun!

Don’t leave it alone in mcauther park and get a bike lock
Get a headlight switch, having that light on all the time kills the battery. I got a plug and play one from amazon and I have noticed a difference with the headlight off since I mostly ride daytime but can still use it at night.
As long as you always ride like you're invisible. No headlight is risky, cars don't look out for people doing 40 on a MTB
I'm running a 27.5 front rim and it's awesome! I'm also running Shimano Saint pedals. Enjoy the bike! I've had mine for a few years and they love downhill and trails, but street riding is always fun too!

The BMX I see no problem on the sidewalk but the nice dirt bike is questionalble I think if he rides in the street the content is just as good.

That's what's up, bought my first BBSHD mid drive ebike conversion kit from Lunacycle back in 2016 put it on my mountain bike it's still running strong no issues whatsoever, if you want to go faster on the Suron you can update the controller for more power and torque with a Asi bac 4000 or 8000 controller simple plug and play, can reach speeds almost 100 miles per hour I sh!t you not.
Is the black edition different from the others. Besides color ?
I wish I spent the money..I ended up spending 2k for the ecotric bison ebike.. but I wish I got the sur ron... oh well.. maybe some day.... happy riding 👍✌

Look into razor mx650 with upgraded 72 volt system from electro and company!! You won’t regret it. I just posted a trail video on it & it’s wicked. It’s a kids bike turned into a torque machine.

Just started watching you because of the Su Ron vids. Then watched a bunch of the BMX vids. Crazy how you all ride on sidewalks. Bro I live in Chicago…nobody rides bikes ore bikes on the sidewalk here.
About the throttle, the part where you hit that super acceleration with very small throttle movement, it's by design.....that's from 2-stroke dirt-bikes, where you hit power-band and go from 4000-5000 RPM to 9000 RPM almost instantly. It's predominantly a 2-stroke motor thing, (although 4strokes get close to this) but these newer brushless motors have insane torque and can do this as well.

I recall back in 1999ish when Gopeds came out, no laws were on them and then in the first year or so you could not even ride them on streets or sidewalks anymore or you would face fines and kids on them the police would take them from you and this was in FL. I had one back then and it sucked...

If you get in a pinch between a rock and a hard place on the road in eco mode and you need to suddenly haul @ss so that you don't get squished like a bug by the bus can can you put it in sport from eco while you have the throttle pinned? I can see how that would be dangerous.

Yea, like you said you gotta be as cautious as you would on a bmx or mountain bike. Shit, it was easy to get hit back in the day, but now with phones and touchscreens in cars it's like half the road or more are drunk drivers. They've found ppl on phones in their cars are as bad or worse than a drunk driver...I've been hit or clipped 3 times the last few years. 2 of them were ladies on their phones. The last time I got my collar bone broken and hip fractured and dislocated. I actually flew over the handlebars. Luckily I wear a helmet. It had some nice dings in it. I'd have been hit or clipped a lot more if I wasn't so cautious, had mirrors and upgraded led lights and a super loud horn now.
The main thing I deal with is say you're in traffic but to the right side(and there's no bike lane)and people pass you but seem to forget they just passed a bike and they have to slow down for someone turning or a light a bit down the road and they drift to the right right in your path or into you(if you're not watching them and react). Or they grab their phones before they stop at a light and drift in your path or almost sideswipe you. We don't have bike lanes really here in Vermont so it's a shit show.
