I have these FastAce on my Sur-ron X 2021 (live in France) and the fork is really good! For enduro use it is perfect, however for jumps like in motocross I think it would need a modification.
I will soon switch to 72v and something like 16Kw ... the bike will be riding harder and I expect to see the limits of the stock suspension.
Surron ain't for jumping more than a few inches off the ground

I ride all sorts and have tried jumping a surron and it sucks. You are damaging the bike by jumping it too.
Also seen someone backflip one and snap the rear triangle and it was a smooth flip

I wish there was a store like this on Long Island in New York. I don't know a single person that rides bikes like these. Maybe there's a facebook group? Great video! You're lucky to have such a cool shop by you.

If you want to sit higher up and not have to lean over so much, I would recommend getting 3 inch or 6 inch handlebars with a spacer for extra height. It depends how tall you are, and how do you like to sit on a bike :-) hope this helps

Aren't MI laws that it must have pedals? I did a quick search and it looks like it. At least for local, public paths. Correct me if wrong.
@@VRGalaxy_762 your not wrong, I did get stopped by a cop in Ionia on a bike trail. But really it depends on where your at and if they really want to care! With all the other bad stuff going on its hard to imagine that riding a surron on a bike path would be a huge offense. If just put fake pedals on it! Lol, I just switched to an electric kick scooter, that's the perfect Grey area vehicle!
@@scottbigley5126 Thanks for the fast response. I'm just getting into ebikes and quickly went down the rabbit trail and found surron x and immediately wanted one, but saw the laws, like hmm, idk. From what I can tell, the only other fastest ebike that has pedals is the Ariel Rider Grizzly. Unless there's some other ones that go pretty fast, with pedals. I'm less of a traditional bicyclist. I'm just looking to have fun, but I don't live on or near farm land, so I'd have to hit trails. I wonder if you can still ride the surron x on public roads without plates/insurance.
@@VRGalaxy_762 delfast makes one with pedals but man the cost! Kuberg has one worth a seat you can push down so it's scooter/ dirt bike! Want that one myself! It mainly comes down to what you're comfortable with! And anything you buy you can always upgrade but in my opinion I'd rather spend the money on something that checks the boxes I want and not need to worry later.

The main difference with the 2022 and 2021 models is the suspension. My cousin who lives near me got the 2021. He got it cause I told him about these bikes and he bought his mid 2021 and I bought mine late 2021 and got the 2022 model. I've rode his bike and mine and the suspension is very different. The 2022 model rear spring is bigger and has a bigger res. Also the front suspension is beefier in the 2022. The 2022 suspension is a big upgrade over the 2021 model.

Sur Ronster, Just ordered one from Luna. Ordered the seat riser and float seat and pro taper handler bar 3 inch rise with handle bar riser 2.75 inch. Hopefully that get me started. Any last tid bits of information or suggestions I should know about the new 2022 Sur Ron X?

You know what’s crazy? I ordered my bike expecting to get what’s pictured (DNM, old brakes etc) when I opened up the bike (I got one of the first 22s) I was initially angry because I felt it was lacking in quality but after riding, I’m loving the suspension, seat and brakes. I went ahead and made a similar video to yours going through the 2022 Surron I just uploaded it if you want to check it out

I'm amazed how much abuse these bikes will take! - I think I've only adjusted the chain a few times & put a used set of 85cc mx tyres, it will do anything & anywhere!
Your are dead right sir! - my 2021 came with 'Killa' conventional forks, so plush & adjustable for Trail or rocky mountains. 2022 Sound better again. They just keep getting better.

Think I like 2019 best but I do like this seat impressed design best.. totally do not like the neon yellow unless the incorporated more neon yellow into the design but overall not much change here..thanks suronster ,and thanks company for letting him demo the product I wish your team the best in sales..
I would like to see a better controller that will get me 60mph, that is black and matches the bike, and uses the stock speed gauge. I see a orange one that will up the speed, but I hate the color and the huge gauge it comes with. Little details I know, but little details matter in my application.

I want one so bad, I have a yz85 but its obviously illegal to ride around my area, these things look so fun to mess around on.
I bought mine a few weeks ago got it Dec 7, 2021. It look 100% just like the one in the video. Hopefully the front brakes will take the Shimano H03A pads as that what's being mailed to me.
How long did it take to ship
I've seen some comments saying they got the new sur ron and some saying they didn't. Is there a way to know which model I am ordering off of luna cycle, or do I just have to get lucky?

The plastic at the top rear behind the seat reminds me of a design with about current dirt bikes like HONDA or YAMAHA 4 example.

I have a 12 mile commute to work and would be at 30-40 mph most of the way. Would you recommend it as a commuter? I would love to get one but I’m not sure if it would work
I want to do the same. But I'm afraid it will be stolen while I'm working. Have to get alarms and tracking devices. But I think it would be awesome for a commute like that. Even a bit farther. I was doing it with a radrover 5 before and i enjoyed it alot.
Depends where you live. He doesn’t mention this in the video, and doesn’t adhere to it himself,
but for it to be considered a fully legal class three ebike in California, you would need to add the Kaniwaba power pedal kit, and keep it under 29mph (don’t cut the green wire if you were tempted). With a dot approved helmet and the other two things mentioned, you’re now a fully legal class 3 ebike in California. If you have a around 22 to 25 mph on your way to work and back, the stock battery alone should be enough without charging in between, otherwise you could charge at work and totally be fine. Usually the stock battery gets 30 to 40 miles going around 20 to 25 mph from what I’ve read, but it also depends on your weight and riding style.

I also would need to eliminate the left hand brake and turn it into a false clutch due to my muscle memory of a lifetime of moto. For some weird reason I'm all good on a mtb but i know that setup would throw me off when I'm on one of these pretending it's a moto. Cool story huh haha

I want to buy a Sur Ron X in the next couple days. I live in FLORIDA and am going to use it as my daily driver. Can you tell me what battery setup is going to give me the best range. Do I go with the 72 V or keep the standard and get the auxiliary add on that straps on top. Would like to ride 45 miles per day round trip as fast as possible 40/45 mph. No hills here and all paved roads. Your help is much appreciated. Thx man, great channel

Have you ever tried the belt driver version of the LightBee Black Edition?
Heard it’s quite a bit more silent, but not good if you’re riding on dirt or off-road very often, because it’s easier to strip the rubber teeth causing slip and the belt to crack.

What is the difference in ride quality and performance between a DNM front fork, and a Fast Ace for 2022? Are they similar? In the video you mentioned 3 different suspensions, have all the front forks for 2022 models been updated?
Yeah, I’d actually say DNM are slightly better. But fastace are definitely better than the killah forks, those are pretty bad
