@@Syntheticoilprotection I have not had the pleasure to own one but admire the heck out of them. Growing up my grandfather kept his car from the 60’s well after 30 years and was our form of transportation. I didn’t appreciate that as a kid as much as I do now.
@Pierre.P4 sweet! That's awesome yeah I have another friend that told me all about those 80s Nissan trucks and they said it was one of the best vehicles he ever had
Thank you! Yeah we had a lot of luck with a neighbor that was very considerate and generous to us and he gave us a special gift to the channel and now we can share it with everyone and show the process of improving the performance in lifespan of it by using the right oil and lube we will also show other subtleties along the way like fuel additives and will be showing the filters and other small wear items that give extra performance and fuel mileage😃💯🇺🇸. I feel like I got my mojo back play Austin Powers cuz I got some more bow tie power..... Feels like it's been 60 years since I had my C5 Corvette. My 2004 C5 Corvette is still my all-time favorite car for the money🇺🇸💯😃. Just pure luck always wanted a heavy duty truck for doing small jobs here and there and sure enough the neighbor across the street ends up having the perfect project vehicle to show everyone. Thanks Derek for always being a part of the channel and always appreciate your comments thank you
Yeah I think it looks really cool and it definitely has some good character to it. And some rough edges which we will definitely smooth along the way and show the freedom of the vehicle🇺🇸☕️..... If you would think of a bird that had its wings clipped we are going to put fresh Wings on her get her to fly better...... the ultimate question will be can she run better than brand new....😉
@Syntheticoilprotection i have an 86 k5 blazer I pulled the 3.5 out and installed a 5.3 ls style engine, so mine definitely runs better than brand new.
I think it is rounded once so I think it's like 110,000 MI. I would have to ask Wes the truck is Thoroughly used and that's exactly what we wanted to show on the channel is something that has lots of use in it and we're going to show how we revive it step by step..... It's well over a hundred thousand miles
Pretty much all the Chevys take 10W-30! Yeah it's super nostalgic to me very cool to see that beginning platform and see how it functions as a work vehicle
@@anish-79 between me & my father, we had a 💩 load of NEW cars, virtually ALL of them took 10w30... most all GM cars... he got new company lease car every 2 yrs... only time we used 20w50 was wen it started 2 burn oil (real crappy oil) bak then... was a 283 that had 56k on it in 2 yrs. & it used a lot of oil b4 trading it in...
Yeah the thicker oil makes it burn even quicker because it doesn't circulate well to keep the components clean inside the engine. That's what happened to my Cadillac with someone kept putting thicker oil in it and it really burned a lot of oil and also clogged all the Rings up
Hey bro @Syntheticoilprotection I just put the pi gasoline additive in my oil thinking it was the flush . I emptied it and added am soil . But noticed when I started her up smoke came out the mufflers for a couple seconds . Should I be worried bro???

@@Syntheticoilprotection it has nothing to do with the engine whether it’s a ford Chevy or dodge its just for some reason edelbrock carbs just aren’t that good they make a lot of other great parts like intake manifold cylinder heads all of those parts are awesome it’s only the carburetors that are not that good I guess a good way to explain it is Holley carburetors is like Amsoil quality and edelbrock carburetors is like mobile 1
@mustang2433 wow I did not know that. I would love to see one of your favorite videos if you could text it to me on a comparison on TH-cam. 702-472-3614
You should really get a C10 it's got a higher gear ratio will get better gas mileage and it's an all-around better truck unless you're doing hauling which doesn't sound like you're going to you're wasting your time on a c20 that doesn't benefit the channel at all my recommendation is get you a C10 with like a 2735 gears and you could do a lot better think about what you're doing before you do it is the main thing I'm telling you
Oh great idea I totally agree it just turns out that's my personal neighbor and it was a special special situation that's the only reason we ended up on that truck also I like the heavy duty trucks that way the bed can hold a little more weight and I like the upgraded brake system it's good for doing any loaded stuff you won't warp the rotors as easy. But yeah it's going to be interesting to see the fuel mileage my guess is the starting number is 9.11mpg I think we can hit 13.7 but it's going to be exciting to see what we can get
