I didn't know who Olavo de Carvalho was, and was a fan of Dugin. I have to say I was completely convinced by Carvalho's argument.

Those who follow Olavos ideas normally says that he's right.
It's a real shame that none of his books are translated exc for some few articles in the internet,
I would really like to know what you people would say about Garden of Aflictions (a book about politics and Epicure) the theory of the four discourses based on Aristotle

Really? Carvalho's claims are absurd. He is obsessed with this conspiracy theory of global capitalist elites working to build socialism. He's either totally illiterate in political sciences, not even having the most basic understanding of the concepts he's talking about, or he is genuinely convinced that all capitalist elites are suicidal.

Hmm, George soros would like a word with you, every time he donates is for a left, last time it's was for the BLM moviment.
Every single big company now is doing prides month, not because they are friends with the gay but simply to virtual sign.
Amazon already said that they are vote for yes in case the riches pay more taxes.
Facebook is now basically a fact checking agency for the left.
Don't forget the "Wolfes of Wall Street" claiming for the state regulation when a bunch of reddit people did the same thing they normally do
All the things that I listed falls in the metacapitalist category, which are people who became too rich and don't want capitalism anymore but socialism.
How is this claims absurd? Isn't it exactly what Carvalho's is saying about the elites wanting socialism

@@WolfGamers100 None of that is socialist, though.
Socialism treats the Proletariat as its subject, but Western Post-War Liberalism has instead adopted identity politics. Those companies might have Pride events, but those events are used to reinforce capitalist control over the means of production.

Thank god Olavo de Carvalho have written many books, so 10-20 yrs in the future, people can go back and realize how much knowledge he had to share. He's so far ahead that is almost impossible to see things as clear as he does. This is the guy who brought up many things to surface, many things we see happening nowadays, he has been talking about years and even decades ago.

Also, on the adoption of orphans, it is because America allows their people to adopt children without having ever met them. As in, when I lived in Uganda, we met Americans who chose their "sons and daughters" from a catalogue. This has now changed since this debate (2016 to be exact). But Americans have laws that allow them to adopt outside their borders much easier. This is not always a good thing. Selling children in Uganda is a big business. Possibly not the tact de Carvalho was going for, but it reminds us that not all charity is for the betterment of the other.

Carvalho is a smart cookie, but his perspective feels almost like a relic of post-9/11 neo-conservatism.
For example, GAE (Global American Empire) is definitely statist and interventionist, but only from its own perspective. From the perspective of other civilization-systems, it's practically libertarian.
Also, what the hell makes the Syndicate 'socialist'? What part of their plan comports with socialism in any implementation?

Feels like it, because it is. This guy was one of the main figures responsible for bringing American political discourse into Brazil and injecting into Brazilian politics. Before 2016 we hardly had a distinction of left and right here, like there is in the US with republicans and democrats. That's to say, he's one of the main agents behind the spread of liberal ideology in Brazil, and the muddying of political discourse; despite his self-proclaimed hatred for "ideologues", he's nothing more than one himself, often using propaganda tactics instead of real argumentative philosophy. Just take a look at the comments in this video to see how many Brazilians follow him like a cult leader.

I don't think this is off-topic, but you may think it is. In this discussion of political theory -- and I don't see how you could categorize 'geopolitics' as anything other than political theory, I notice that A. Dugin is a supporter of 'land power vs. sea power' as a meaning full posture; in your Talk #15, in the survey therein of political theory, that feature never came up. That fact strengthens my view that your concern there (in Talk #15) was philosophy more than political theory.
