Dr Peterson I hope you see this. I lost my left arm do to drug use among other things and became severely depressed because of it. However I simply started to clean my room and although it was difficult I realized that I could accomplish more than I ever thought. Seeing how everything is twice as difficult with one hand. From there my spirits lifted and I even got off of drugs. You are correct when you say that the challenges in life are where you find meaning. The term “ Woke “ is an adjective derived from African-American vernacular English (AAVE) meaning “ Alert to racial prejudice and discrimination” Jordan Peterson’s ideas, thoughts and observations are often what the far right would call “woke”. Peterson has characterized himself politically as a “ Classic British liberal “ and a “ traditionalist “. He has stated that he is commonly mistaken as right wing. Peterson supports Universal Healthcare, redistribution of wealth towards the poor and decriminalization of drugs.DeSantis would say Peterson is definitely Woke, base on his description of himself.

For me all of this began during the pandemic, I was 17-18-19 at the time when everyone seemed to have to much time. Suddenly everywhere I saw all that woke stuff on the internet „don’t say that, don’t think that, don’t be that“ and so on.
One think that really depressed me, becoming an adult as a male, was all that „toxic masculinity“ talking that started to appear. I learned that masculinity wasn’t something that was wanted/needed in the world. It was said everywhere that masculinity is bad, it causes wars, it is disstructiv, women don’t want and need it anymore and so on.
I heard it so often that I started to believe it, I started to believe that masculinity is toxic and evil. Being a male myself, all of this depressed me deeply because I felt like there was no purpose in this world for me.
A year ago, when I finished school, I started working out, working on myself and my mental health. I discovered Jordan Peterson and I learned so much I needed to hear.
Thank you so much Mr. Peterson, please never stop doing what you are doing, there are so many young men suffering like I did.🙏🏻

I've noticed it's come to a point on social media where all that is required is the loosest association with the merest whiff of anything even remotely controversial - or even nothing sometimes - and BAM they will sling a label on it with no critical thinking whatsoever. "TOXIC" is one of their favorites. Have a minor disagreement with your significant other? The comments will flood with "That's toxic, red flag, get a divorce now". Had a glass of wine? "Toxic! Alcoholic! Get help now!" Smile at a girl who's not interested? "Sexual assault! Rapist! Lock him up!" Twist. Escalate. Label. It is truly absurd. What's disturbing is it takes things that are genuine social issues and dilutes them to the point that erases all differentiation. But there is a difference and we need to bring discernment and critical thinking back.

I agree with the idea. If one speaks the Truth (or truths) then it is important to not immediately offend people unnecessarily. But those who are misled include those who accept the way Jordan leads people into a strange direction. He says he had minor altercations with colleagues. But then he says something almost all faculty would agree with: hire more faculty and not more administrators. So, he was WOKE! He uses the word "woke" to talk about all kinds of things. He uses the word ambiguously. For him it now seems that if someone disagrees with him then he labels them as "woke." But his example is an example of being "woke"! Those who wanted to do what the administration wanted were not woke. He does not want to retreat. But his example quickly goes into something he calls the "woke mob." He fails to point out that most faculty unions are "woke" about NOT allowing administrations to cut back on the number of faculty allowed to teach very small seminars with 10-15 students rather than 20-25 or 30 students. He is against "totalitarianism" but he fails to point out that the administrators he was opposing are the "totalitarians". He says everyone in a totalitarian state lies all the time to everyone. But then he turns around and does not hesitate to say that Canada is a totalitarian state. Or did I miss something?

I’m a teacher at a public school. Luckily, I’m in a rural southern town where the Wokeness has not taken over. I’m staying to make sure it doesn’t gain a foothold. Just last week I got an email from a program we use called “edpuzzle”. I used it a few times for a math activity and other teacher use it also. The email was pushing lgbt propaganda and pride month on students. It literally said “use edpuzzle to introduce students to pride”.
I forwarded the email to our principal and said this program is no longer appropriate to use in our school. He sent it to the superintendent and just yesterday we got a system wide email saying we are no longer allowed to use edpuzzle.
It is possible to fight back but it takes more than 1 person. If everyone keeps their mouth shut we lose. Every teacher in our school got that email but I was the only one that spoke up. Every other teacher I spoke to saw that email and thought it was crazy, but none of them spoke up. I’m staying to do my part.

This discussion hit home for me. In the 1970s I saw the leftists taking over a small liberal arts college where I got my first degree. My history teacher was a frank and open socialist for example. The sociology and Christian thought programs were changing dramatically. I felt they were beyond redemption. Later I worked for the federal government (HHS). I saw that incremental encroachment of the left in government. First there was a big change when Bill and Hillary Clinton took over in the White House. C. Evert Koop had been the Surgeon General, a great man with a big heart. His outlook was replaced with minority and leftist leaning leadership. But...there was a lot of entrenched folks with traditional values and the new crew didn't get everything they wanted. It took 5-10 years to root them out. The phrase "micro-retreats" fits well. I could see it. And I ended up 12 years into a career and doing what Gorden suggested. We made exit plans and got our resumes up to date. I cried sometimes when my friends on the medical staffs were abused and gotten rid of. I saw less and less support from area managers. One of them died of a heat attack shortly after he was fired by a administration who set him up to make it appear he was rebellious. I was falsely accused of abusing children which was total fabrication. And I got no support from area management. And I was rebuked for complaining about a drunk minority physician seeing (ER) patients with slurred speech and reeking of alcohol. She had been a medical student of a liberal minority appointment to a high position in Washington D.C. and had a phone connection she used on a regular basis. Her overly liberal narcotics prescribing practices resulted in a number of deaths. The quality of health care in our clinic tanked. One pivotal point was when I found out she was making large personal loans to poor people in the area we were serving and forgiving the loans if they filed fabricated complaints against staff. Half of the medical staff and half of the pharmacy staff resigned on the same day at the same time. The best half of employees I might add. I remember going to a physician in a neighboring town and told him what I was going through and he kind of smiled and said that he was treating about 1/3 of the staff members I was working with for depression. He wanted to treat me for anxiety and depression. He said he could get me through 8 more years until retirement with medication. But remembered meeting a physician in the hallway shortly before that. I asked her how it was going. She just said "Nine more years, four months, three weeks and...she looked at her watch....four hours until retirement." I would not do that. It was not worth it. So I said nope, no psych meds, I knew how to cure the problem. I had enough. It was time to go. I submitted my resignation along with the many others. I still remember the date after 15 years. We made front page news with a regional newspaper. I stepped into a temporary professional job part time while I incubated a small business idea I had been pondering for decades. It was completely outside of medicine. And I never regretted that decision. I didn't let the golden handcuffs of a lucrative government job trap me. And I am proud of myself for not letting that happen. When a system reaches a certain critical point, it cannot be saved.

Excellent discussion! I was quite bitter with my work, specifically regarding my coordinator and had begun looking at my exit strategy. I had initially estimated that it may take me about 2 years to build another source of income... but when my coordinator had started the same described process to get rid of me, I worked my exit strategy with a level of enthusiasm and zeal that I never had before. One of the best moment I had was submitting my resignation form where the "Retire" box was ticked and this form had also required my supervisor's signature. It was a great moment.

I've been to therapy and know people who went to the psychiatrist for minor and major problems. I've never experienced or heard of someone so devoted to their patient's wellbeing to actively coach them step by step. In fact there's often little progress if any at all, and tons of money spent. Dr. Peterson is not just a clinical psychologist. He's a model for all health professionals of how to CARE for patients in all senses of the word, proof that you can be fully involved and still never overstep your role, proof that with quality care (that comes from deep respect for people and constant studying and thinking) people CAN get better. I still remember when he said he accompanied a patient to see a corpse being examined (I don't remember the type of procedure) just so she could face her fear. No one does that! No one cares that much. No one has that will to investigate the patients problems trying to understand more. But he cares. He brothers to do it. He doesn't just perform a service, he gets to the core of things and seeks the truth. That's a true health professional and scientist to me, and in a world where most only think of money and their own stability... This blows me away.

Do NOT depend on anyone else to come to your aid. My husband & I joined a group fighting our local school board, years ago. They were doing some pretty unethical stuff with the finances & trying to close/shuffle school populations to hide it. A rather large group protested & took them to task. As soon as the board got on to us, & started firing back, most of the 'supporters' dissipated. There were 3 of us left - me, my husband, & and the gentleman who spearheaded the whole fight. We fought alone & suffered being ostracized, ridicule, and self doubt. The board did what they wanted, steam rolled us & laid low for 4 years. they then dredged it up again & closed another building. They learned from our tactics. They pounced on the few parents who mounted a resistance immediately & did everything so last minute that there was no time for parents to group. We had tried to warn them 4 years before.. They came to us looking for help & it was denied. I reevaluated my 'resume' as he is saying. I pulled my kids out and homeschooled them. You need to evaluate the negative energy you are devoting to things. It was worth it to me to be ostracized, put all the energy I was expending in fighting them into teaching my kids myself. My kids learned valuable lessons from this.

That empowers the person - gives them a reasonable choice that they can either handle, or know they can't handle right now but can get helped with.

@@molten5756 The savings is backup for the salary you're not getting. Other savings (or investment) is determined by the type of business you have. You would look for things you like to do or have skills you could explore then do them. Don't think about franchising and needing loans to buy-in. If you need money for "things" then start small and build. My experience was to start a sign shop. When I began there weren't computers and we painted by hand. It's becoming a lost art but it only requires substrates, brushes, paint and a few other miscellaneous supplies. Murals would require ladders for example. Electric signs would, OTOH, high tech equipment, a bucket truck, an electrician and lots of insurance. It's all relative. The latter carries more risk.
Other ideas of skills would be a welder, a seamstress and a plumber. The only job you can't get fired from is your own.

Teachers teach “facts”. Some facts are ok, but some are ideological, and therefore unpalatable. But this issue will persist until we ask teachers to teach critical, curious, thinking, and to allow dissenting ideas.

Bro I am taking my stand!! I’m a little ashamed I’ve been holding back but I’m doing my best rn, and all my content aligns with who I am. I’m DONE trying to avoid upsetting people. Some people need to be upset. The reason I’m here and able to start this work is cause I took your advice and looked in the mirror.

Excellent to hear JP speak off the cuff on subjects like this. I am always worried when i discuss government over-reach with so many of my friends who lean towards big govt and central control aka totalitarian communism. They have not thought through where this well meaning ideology of "fairness " ends up....

It ends up battering the world, so yeah since conservatives don't like to make things batter, I understand why they would not like that. And there is no such thing is totalitarian communism since communism implies there are NO HIERCHIES, and totalitarianism by definition is a Hiearchy, but agian, you don't know anything since you are a JP fan, so I'm wasting my time.

@@NancyZambrana Wokeness is basically being disconnected from reality. It’s denying The Actual Truth and replacing it with someone’s emotional Artificial and Manufactured Fake Truth which is nothing but lies. Wokeness is to lie and deny all that is righteous and true. It’s living in an upside down world so people can play victims covered in a blanket of idiotic lies. The worst part is actually having the audacity to cancel people that don’t and won’t play along in the so called make believe wokeness society. It does not matter how much make-up, outfits or surgeries a man gets, he cannot ever be a real woman and a woman cannot ever be a man. One cannot deny basic biology ever!!! Modifying someone or something is not authentic and it will never ever be! A snake cannot ever be a pussycat and a pussycat cannot ever be a snake. A dog is a dog and a cat is a cat. A woman born a woman is a woman and a man born a man is a man period!!!

I’m 80 years old. I was born and raised in Hollywood, California. I attended Hollywood High School and U.S.C. and worked in the movie business during the 60s and 70s as an assistant director, production manager and screen writer. When the “Me-Too” movement broke on the scene, and stories of thousands of rapes started pouring out of Hollywood, I was absolutely blown away. I don’t remember a single rape story coming from anyone during my entire time in Hollywood. When I point this out to the woke freaks, they tell me everyone was hiding it from me. Really? Are you kidding? It’s impossible for me to believe that I could have been kept perpetually in the dark in a place filled with friends and colleagues. It’s a ridiculous assertion. I think we’re being hit with a kind of mass madness.

he is saying HE is more afraid of that, and you might consider fearing that (coercive silence) more TOO. Avoidance being the easier response should be a flag that something necessary needs to be said to prevent far worse consequences for self and others in the future. Mobs offer weak people safety in numbers. Be an individual willing to say NO (have options), though it is admittedly a reasonable fear to stand up to greater numbers armed with their lies, deceit, and reputation destruction. Your wellbeing is at stake and you pay a price either way. Set yourself up so you don't get forced into complicity (victims of abuse neglect, etc. being easy targets for mobs, preying on good natures/intentions to justify evils).
People might ask themselves why bother telling the truth. Peterson. Best to watch/hear it and be grateful we live in a society that still allows us to do so, so that we oversimplify.
What consequences will your and my choice to speak here on this video have? Did it take courage? Would the world be better off for it, and why?

    • @Mblandreth1
      @Mblandreth1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

TRUTH is the Answer, if you speak TRUTH. You will never be with the mob. The Mob is a falsehood. The War is for each of us to face. If we fear the woke, because of their morals, we are right. But, I fear GOD much more. These are perilous times. The War we face as individuals combined with a social uprising of the sodomites. The Pedophiles, the grooming of kids.
These Crimes against humans must be stopped for humans to survive. The next generation will be completely lost to lust and odd proclivities. It is now! The world is run by a group of creepy pedophiles, who have compromised most people in positions of power. That is what falsehood does, until it doesn’t.
This world is lost, 66.6 percent of this world is corrupt. 1/3 are sitting out the destruction and will miss out on the second death.
Accept JESUS, read the Bible with a goal.
New Jerusalem in a new spiritual body.
The Gospel of CHRIST is to live in TRUTH. To forgive as you hope to be forgiven, love as you hope for love.
      Be a straight arrow.
      Spread TRUTH with love.
      Be strong and kind!
