For anyone struggling with Takeda combo trials in invasions just level up your attack really high and do an uppercut on the bot it will trigger the brutality and skip the trial not sure if this was intended or not but these micro inputs are not worth stressing over 😀
Cool to see max has finally found his character but I don’t think he gave other characters a chance early on when the game first came out. I would’ve really liked to see him try out someone like kenshi. Or even other kameos. Havik with jax is mad fun
Probably not, but you have to remember, he's a player like the rest of us. He has his strengths, weaknesses, and biases, etc when looking for a character. That's like expecting him to try out Chun Li. Then there's his Streaming content, to which he'll rotate MK out probably by next week lol😂
@@1meen1 True but I also think MK is very different than most fighting games in the sense that you can’t just try out characters based off of a specific archetype or fighting style. In SF you can just pick an archetype and find various characters within that archetype.(Usually there is a clear best character within those archetypes) MK characters are so weird that you kinda have to try all of them out because they can easily fall into multiple archetypes. To be fair though, most MK players in general don’t really like to explore characters like that either. I just feel like this game is way better when you’re constantly trying to find new stuff
Can I tell you something Max? Before Takeda's arrival in the game, I believed that a character would become as entertaining to use as Peacemaker, but now, I highly doubt that anyone from KP2 will be able to surpass Takeda in this, the guy is impressive, his aerial kombos are quite good, and I love that you took it with Cyrax as a kameo

As a filthy casual I really like watching people who are good at fighting games do big combos and cool stuff but I lost faith in MK after MK11 because it was so sluggish and many times inputs just didn't work so it made me feel very frustrated especially playing online! However, I really enjoyed MKX because of the fast pace and combo variety which made me feel like I was doing well even if it was just visually and not on a technical level! When I watch MK1 it feels like people just do one combo over and over especially in Max's other video where he was fighting Omni-Man 😢

Now days people mash buttons so much and there's very little thought put into anything. Someone's always mashing to get the combo whether pressured or not. There's nearly no aspect of defense. I don't think the best fighting game has been created yet. I'd like to see a more defensive and cerebral game, and hopefully we see it in the future. I think it'll take an overhaul about fighting game mechanics. I have an idea. Stamina in fighting games should be a thing, to change frame data in real time based on exertion. If you throw out more, your frame data gets slower, just like real fighting. This could add a whole new level to fighting games where you could play defense (Ali) to wear down opponents then sting like a bee. I think variability is what fighting games are missing. Knowing x move is -whatever frames no matter what. X move is safe, etc. Makes things a bit too predictable. Real fighting is vatlriable and taking chances.
i love watching max fight but when i was watching him fight the scorpian even i was starting to call out when he was going for spear like max was and im not good at mk1 just being a one trick johnny cage.
I love how as a spectator, both characters on screen look exactly the f**kin same. I know which one Max is because he has the Cyrax assist and the other guy has a scorpion assist. Doesn't seem like good design
I believe Max's word when he says that MK1 is fun but when he plays it his attitude and tone of voice says otherwise. Compared to other fighting games, when he plays MK1 he always seems annoyed and angry, for me that's the opposite of having fun
He's falling into the trap that a lot of other people find themselves in when playing MK1. I don't believe he's lying when he says that MK1 is fun, he's just thinking about the portion of the game where you actually get to play: COMBOS. Doing the combos feels good, and it looks cool the first few hundred times you do it. However, the REAL game, where you and your opponent are both blocking each other's advances, and waiting for one stray hit to connect into a 20+ second long combo that you can do fuck-all about, can be incredibly frustrating. It just feels stale when you and your opponent keep doing the exact same thing, on hit or miss, because what else are you going to do aside from the biggest possible combo route? Oh boy, Max hit somebody with Takeda's low and cancelled it into Cyrax's Energy Net? Alright, time to watch this one combo that I've memorized without playing the character take half the opponent's life. Again.
@ArchsSpace has someone who doesn't really follow fighting games in general is that really the biggest problem MK1 has, end of so how is that avoided in games like sf6 and mkx?

Welcome to fighting games bud. Literally every single person who plays fighting games finds a combo they can do and sticks with it, its called a BNB for a reason. If you wanted you could easily experiment and come up with crazy combos like the first Takeda with scorpion was doing. This isn't MK1 specific neither SF, GGST, Tekken all have combos that work best that most people will naturally do for the character they use

Takeda's ALT is too similar to his normal skin, they need to change the colours a bit more. Make the yellow more orange or something.
