    Well, after buying a Beolink 1000 remote, I was able to get into TEST MODE, and proceed with the repair you go over in this video. Your video was extremely helpful...thanks so much! I wouldn't have tried this without your guidance.
    A few things to note...there is an extra screw on the CD carrier that you have to take off to get the sledge to snap out of the arm holding it onto the unit.
    You don't mention that you need to release the ribbon cables as you pull the sledge off the unit...there are releases on the left and right side of the cables that you need to push back to release the cable. You mention those when putting them back on later in the video. It may be obvious to you, but to those that follow directions to the letter, this could throw them.
    Also, I'm not sure why you took the whole back plate with the 9 screws off to do this repair. Perhaps you had other repairs to carry out on this unit that required it, but for this particular repair it isn't necessary. Just set the BS9000 into TEST MODE using the remote, press CD and then 72 to get it to release the sledge, move it by hand to somewhere convenient, then undo the bits to get the sledge off. There isn't even a need to remove that tricky center plastic thing to get the carrier off.

    Hi Giuseppe - firstly great instructional video which was easy to follow and informative. I have a a question regarding reassembly. When reassembling the CD cradle (removed circa 4:00min reinstalled 7:18min), it now drops down a little and the mechanism is unable to freely move without hitting the chassis. I think it is called the clamper. It doesn't hold up in position though I'm pretty certain I have put it back exactly as per instruction. I noticed this on assembly attempting to slide back into position 1. It required me to lift slightly to clear the silver frame. I checked and re-seated 3 or 4 times with the same result. I repowered thinking it might auto adjust and resolve but now no longer can freely slide without hitting. The spring adjustment was in the correct position prior to disassembly. Any advice or suggestions to help? Thanks.

      @@GiuseppeM Hi guys. So I've pulled mine apart a few times now. Replace the laser twice (wrong unit the first time). Much of this instruction is unnecessary as you don't have to remove the back panel at all. Also on the clamper, the back two torques are height ADJUSTERS, they are the problem Adrian is having.

    Awesome video! I just replaced the laser and a couple of capacitors on the IR board just last week.
    Unfortunately now I have an issue where when the CD spins up it wobbles. Which results in the track skipping along with a lot of noise. Any thoughts on what I might have done wrong? Question, how difficult is it to remove the aluminium panel to have it painted?

    • @GiuseppeM
      @GiuseppeM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it's not really that hard but I was wondering if you can even have it painted without taking it apart, except for the glass panel obviously.

    I am based in Korea and the Customer Service told me, B&O no longer produces the necessary parts (the laser module & amp included in BeoLab1 speaker) and nothing can be done to make them work again. Do you know if this is true?

    • @GiuseppeM
      @GiuseppeM  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is true but they never made the laser, you can find a replacement and have a repair shop install it. The original modules were faulty and they will all fail sooner or later

      @@GiuseppeM C’iao. Can’t believe the local B&O never voluntarily recall if that is true. I have decided to contact a private repair service which isn’t an official B&O service. Thank you Giuseppe. :-)

Out of curiosity where did you buy the replacement laser assembly? I have been looking for a vam1250/21 but have trouble finding an exact one. Can you please share a link of where you got the laser from? Or point me in the right direction. Thanks again for the video, it will help me a lot when I do my laser change.

      Ok I followed your video to replace my laser. I was able to locate a vam1250/21 on eBay. The only thing I did wrong was remove that plastic piece in the middle that was kind of tricky. It snapped where it mounts. But no big loss it can’t be seen anyway. Also want to point out that if others decide to follow this. Don’t forget to take off the two ribbon cables on the clamper as well as the one holding the laser. Also they lock in place with two tabs on the sides. Also at the end when it’s put back together don’t forget to carry out test mode 71 and 73. Thanks again, my beosound 9000 is working again :)

    Hi mate. Just wanted to note a couple of things.
    Firstly there is no need to remove the whole back panel. That little piece that comes out at 1 min 45 is FOR this repair. Once that is out you can pull the assembly.
    Second, the two tiny torx at the back of the transport are adjusters. They manage the height. I'd be leaving them alone.
    Lastly - I had this identical error. Changing out the laser did nothing...
    Are there any other thoughts on what can cause this error. Incidentally I don't have a functional remote

    • @GiuseppeM

    It looks like a cheap small laser, in a nice big CD player, that’s so sad 😔🤔 Old Sony CD 💿 players like the X777ES or X77ES are using indestructible overpowered lasers, built like a tank! B&O didn’t make the right choice!
