Former air traffic controller here. There are two different aircraft registrations on the plane. The ‘N’ is the USA registration and the ‘XA’ under the wing is Mexican registry so it’s probably parts of planes stuck up there for some reason

That plane must be a track feature. There's a gap between the wing root, and fuselage, so I'm guessing the plane was disassembled, put on a trailer, and hauled out to the track. one of those small craned would've been used to lift the fuselage into the tree, and then the wings were attached. Pretty cool find. Thanks for sharing. :)

As an ex pilot, I can safely say that there is NO WAY that plane could have landed in that tree without being a LOT more busted up than it was. A 2 ton plane hitting trees at 80 - 100mph would virtually destroy it. The first thing to get ripped off would be the wings and elevators. Also, no landing gear and 2x registration numbers? A dummy hanging out of the door would definitely freak people out.
A really cool find though, definitely an eye catcher.

Well they bent the prop pretty good , so it suffered damage while the engine was on. It's very unusual to have a Mexican registration under the wing as well. It's clearly not an XA-JUV aircraft. The US registration fits the Cessna 210 we see on searches.

They can be taken apart and put together easily by people who know what they are doing.

I’m betting on an abandoned movie prop. It would be rare for a metal propeller to break both blades off that short. The missing wing root fairings would indicate a non-airworthy status. Then there is the odd apparatus on the tail cone that looks like some kind of smoke generator or pyrotechnic, certainly nothing original to the aircraft. Finally, the conflicting US and Mexican registrations numbers. The prop supervisor probably said that piece of tin isn’t worth the cost to get it out of the trees and haul it off. I’d bet all the instruments and avionics were stripped before it was put in the tree.

Placed there as a prop for a movie? There's something not quite right about it, the tail doesn't look real. The spinner and prop are connected to the plane with a long, thin shaft. Proportions seem off. Seems like a cobbled together prop for a movie or TV show.

It sounds like the hole in the rim where the valve stem pushes through may be bending the valve stem pinching it and causing it to go flat, or the rim is pulling on the valve stem of the tire, causing it to lose air. One way or another, it could be some kind of combination of all of the above I explained. I had this very same issue many years ago. It's worth checking out.

1.) The plane started to have problems but could n ot make it to land on the off-road track.
2.) The plane was forced down due to weather.
3.) The plane ditched in trees directly over a road so the cargo could be hauled out directly by multiple vehicles (trucks, atv's, etc)
4.) Any combination of the 3 above.

The reason the plane is still sitting in the woods is because it will cost more than it is worth to extract it.
HOWEVER, if it is on private property, the owner can sue to have it removed no matter what it costs.

FAA registry listing for N7496E shows a Cessna 210. This plane is not a 210. It looks like a Cessna 140. Also take note of the foreign registration - XA-JUV - under the left wing. Registrations beginning with 'XA' are from Mexico. This leads me to believe it's a "parts"plane. Why was it done, and why is it there? Who knows.

@@dwightmagnuson4298 That is true. But the 210 is also larger than the 140. It's possible the plane in the tree is an early model C-172 - I can't quite tell from the angles it's shown at - but it's certainly not a 210. The rear side-windows of a 210 are much larger than that of the 140.

not sure if this was ever suggested in any of your prior videos, but you outta check out an area in Kentucky called "The Land Between The Lakes", because it was the site of a grisly murder that happened sometime in the early 1980's, where 4 campers (a husband, wife, a son, and a daughter) were savagely murdered, and was rumored to have been eaten as well.
No one knows if it was a cannibalistic serial killer, or if it was some animal of unknown origin that did it, but the story went that the bodies were ripped apart and partially eaten by someone, or something.
