How lovely and refreshing to take a quiet walk around Hampstead with you - especially at this time of the year when the West End is so crowded. Can you do more of these walks around Hampstead please - keeping to this pace, so viewers are able to fully absorb the beauty of Hampstead.

When I lived in London in the early sixties I often took the tube to Hampstead one of my favorite neighborhood so far and different from.the wearisome sight of Oxford Street.I sometimes took a bus to Kenwood House to relax in the countryside around the.msgnificent building.I'll never forget such beautiful places.
No we lived very close to Highgate wood my parents are not alive so I can't ask them I was very young like 7 years old. I remember a sweet shop down the street and it was a very long walk up a very big hill to Hempstead heath. I do remember Whimpy's hamburgers
This was my turf in the 1980s- I lived in Pilgrim's Lane, and every day I'd walk this exact same route going to/from work in the West end. The Flask Tavern was one of my regular watering holes, along with the Hollybush (not shown) and the King of Bohemia, closed some 20 years ago, and now yet another boutique. The trees are taller, the shops are glitzier, and all the old bohemian Hampstead characters are gone, replaced by oligarchs and overseas billionaires. I feel so sad looking at this...
I was about to ask, nowadays do ppl who live there have jobs etc or are so rich they don’t need to work. I got my answer. Beautiful houses but out of the price range or top earning born londoners. Madness
Like 162 👍 Greetings from Naples, Florida. Those are some nice streets, indeed. What a nice day for a walk. We enjoyed the sights, sounds and scenery. Thanks so much for sharing with us, have a great weekend. 💯
I walk regularly around my home City of London, to help me forget about what's happening in today's crazy, crazy world... Richmond, Barnes is just as nice and plush as Hampstead Walking, one of the best excerise
@thewalkinglondon. I remember about a 10 block walk to the Finchley Road tube station. I now live in a similar area of Philadelphia...Chestnut Hill-Mt. Airy.
Bonjour. Je viens de découvrir votre chaîne et je me suis abonné. Je n'imaginais pas qu'il puisse y avoir des quartiers si calmes et si pittoresques à Londres. J'adore. So british 💙💚💛. Cela me donne l'irrépressible envie de m'y promener. 👍

It always amazes me how sumptuous some neighborhoods in London are.Hi from Brazil!
Hello! Glad you enjoyed my video from Brazil!
Hampstead was originally a village in the countryside before it was overtaken by London. Same for many places now in the Greater London Authority.
