Hey, brother I appreciate you talking the time to walk through this. I had one of the "lucky" monitors that suffered the "abnormal heat" alert at cold temperatures. Just ran through the process. Hoping this solved it. Thank you again for explaining everything.
It has to be the usb-a upstream cable. The one that allows it to interface with the PC. It’s got that weird squarish looking connector that connects to the back of the monitor.
How are you liking the monitor? Im considering pulling the gun and purchase one. Do you recommend it or should I wait for all the other 4K 240hz OLEDS monitors to get released?
Personally, I love this monitor and it's hands down the best I've ever used. It's not perfect but that's totally fine by me. All the QD OLEDS releasing this year are very similar with slight differences. Compare those differences and find which ever one aligns best with what you value. Remember to keep your budget top of mind. None of these monitors are worth putting yourself in an unhealthy finanacial situation.
Have there been any more updates? I’m curious if Dell has a mailing list to notify owners of firmware updates. Or if owners have to check the page periodically for announcements of new firmware updates.

Hey Taylor, could you share your monitor settings for both SDR and HDR content, or maybe make a quick video about it? I'm using an LG CX OLED alongside an AW3225QF. On the LG, black appears truly black, but on the AW3225QF, it doesn't. For instance, while the screen may seem black, the black color in Chrome browser appears gray compared to the black on the LG CX OLED.
Rn, I'm only using HDR. I have the profile set to Standard and the smartHDR set to HDR peak 1000. The 3225QF uses a QD-OLED panel whereas the CX is WOLED, I believe. That sounds like an issue with the graphics card or some other software configuration. Adding a higher resolution monitor alone to a 4080 should have zero noticable impact unless you're doing graphically intensive tasks.
